If you see just plain jane cold facts the New Year's is just an ordinary day when Earth completes its revolution around the sun. It's a day when we set the clock of Months ticking again. It's a day when you try lose your habit of writing 2013 and will start writing 2014... So what is so important about the New Year?

Duh Uh!!! A New Year does not just mark progression in time, it marks progression of each and every individual that has lived that year... Imagine if there's no new year's mark than how will we celebrate an Anniversary, or a Birthday or what not.

The fun fact is that one and all steps into this "New Year" with lots of hopes, resolutions and most importantly with faith that this year will be one of the best and brightest of all. Last year you, me and our Television industry stepped into this New Year with the same notion of making 2013 our best year and thus round the year we had something new and amazing coming our way. In fact the notion still remain just the date is altered to 2014, thus the makers are introducing new shows that will launch themselves into the New Year itself.

As a part of our promise of taking you down the memory lane of 2013... we present you the list of the shows that started in this year and took the audiences in their mesmerizing grasps that entitles them to enter the New Year with all the frolics.

Ooh!! Lala ... now that I look things from this angle, I just realize that 2013 has been super good, hasn't it. From Movie king Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saraswatichandra to Television queen Ekta Kapoor's Jodha Akbar from shows that brought in different conceptual stories on the table like Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi...Meri Bhabhi, Ek Mutthi Aasmaan, Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi,Desh Ki Beti Nandini, Amita Ka Amit to shows that more or less are just the same old love stories with a twist like Ek Ghar Banaunga, Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se, Kehta Hai Dil Jee Le Zara, Do Dil... Ek Jaan... from shows that are in their second seasons like Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon... Ek Baar Phir,Sanskaar - Dharohar Apnon Ki, Kaisa Yeh Ishq Hai... Ajab Sa Risk Hai to shows that have just made their appearance towards the end of the year like Doli Armaano Ki, Ye Hai Mohabbatein, Tumhari Pakhi.

2013 has also seen twists in shows formats... Like Sanjeev Kapoor Ke Kitchen Khiladi and Jo Biwi Se Kare Pyaar instead of being the regular cooking show aired on television they have added different ingredient to serve us new dishes. In fact... the shows are secondary channels have developed and redeveloped their branding notions, such as Zee TV with its Family and Relationship policy and Channel V with its youth oriented approach has revamped itself in a new Avatar with new shows like Sadda Haq, Paanch - 5 wrongs make a right, Confessions of an Indian Teenager.

Well all is not over yet just because they have not started till now, we will not miss to mention the shows who will have a wide leap directly into the New Year like Ek Nayi Pehchan, Main Naa Bhoolungiwho will barely see a week of this year and shows like Rangrasiya and Beintehaa will just see a day or two.

Ohk!!!! So we all agree that 2013 has brought in some amazing shows, and our idea of taking you down this memory lane was a master stroke *wink *wink*... but most importantly we heartily wish these shows all the very best, for the next year may they bring lots and lots of entertainment on our door step.
