Part 10

"What is this Shlok ?" Varad came to his office with surprise and bit anger. He holds a letter in his hand and he throws the letter on table

"You fired Aastha but why?" he asked in disbelief

Shlok looked very clam on his action "I don't want to face her everyday"

"May I ask you why? I think I told you that how she needs this job then why are you doing this" varad irritated now

"I can understand so I arrange a new and better job for her in another company" Shlok wanted to relax him

"But why" Varad repeated his question again and again

"Because I don't want her in my life..." Shlok shouted

"what ?????????..." Varad surprised to hear that

"I mean I am afraid if she will know something" Shlok composed him quickly. Varad saw him suspiciously.

"Really? Do you afraid only for this reason?" Varad satire him

"What do you want to know? Yes, I like her but I know that I cannot get her in my life. I can bear this pain but not her hate for me so I decided this" Shlok accepted the fact easily because he could not hide his emotion from Varad.

"But if you like her then what the problem. She doesn't..." Varad try to convinced him but Shlok interrupted him and closed the topic

"Please I don't want to talk about this. You know you are my best friend but please do not try to break my shell, I do not believe in love or something else. Love only gives pain and you know this very well. I do not want to do experiment with myself. If love and feeling could give happiness then my mother did not leave me like this. She did not think about myself for a once. She only thought about herself. She was downright selfish. Swati was selfish. Every woman is selfish, love is selfish. I cannot believe in this ever." Shlok opened his heart to Varad once again.

"So how will you remove your feeling?" Varad anguished for him

"Feeling doesn't matter. You know feeling always make you weak and if you make strong yourself then feeling will be weak so don't worry I will not be weak" Shlok coldly said

Varad saw his face, he could feel the loneliness of his life. His face looked very strong and ruff now but he knew the pain and sadness behind the mask. He was trying again to convince him

"But Shlok how will you spend your all life alone and sad"

"My life is ok and I am happy alone. I don't need anybody" Shlok said and looked him like he want to say that this is enough to talk about so he should leave now. However, Varad was not in mood to leave him easily

"You know Shlok; you are not alone only this world. You are not only having pain. I also have memories that haunt me sometimes. Aastha looks very happy but you know she also has pains behind her smiling face. You do not even imagine how she suffered. Her sister always gave trouble to her but she never complained about that. Her father left them in mid way of life but she never cried about that. You are not alone in this world, she is also alone. whenever you get your free time then feel about her wounds also then you will realize what you lose" Farad reviled him badly and left out with anger and pain.

"What is my mistake sir?" Aastha came into Shlok office like thunder when she received the firing letter. She asked bluntly from Shlok. Her eyes have filled with anger and confusion. She was being very embarrassed when receptionist gave her letter with satiric smile on her face. As everyone knew about the letter, they gave her sympathy. However, she wanted the fair answer not sympathy so she came to Shlok for clear situation.

"Nothing but I don't want to see your face again" Shlok made his tone little arrogant because he did not want to lose his emotion in front of her. He act normal but he knew that she would come to ask him.

"May I know that what I do?" Aastha irritated with his answer so she asked frantically.

"I don't need to tell you, what you do? You have to go so just get lost," Shlok again said in very hard and ridiculous way.

"You have to tell me because I want to know" Aastha put her hands on the table towards Shlok and asked directly looking into his eyes. This was not going well with Shlok in real and in anger he stand up and hold Aastha arms and pulled her towards door

"You know your behavior is the reason of this. I could not forget Your behavior on day first and now you proved my decision right so don't dare to face me again" Shlok said in anger and close his cabin door but did he really upset with Aastha behavior or he was upset with his own inner fight between his resistance and feeling of guilt or love. He felt that something break in his heart when he throw Aastha out from his cabin. It was his own heart.

Varad saw all this from his cabin but he did not come to Aastha's rescue, as he knew that he was helpless infornt of Shlok in this topic but also he knew that it was Shlok drama to run away from Aastha. If it was real then he never, arrange another job for her. He knew how he would handle the situation.

Varad went to Aastha's home where he found expectedly anger Aastha. When she saw him, she shouted

"I shoot him, I kill him..." she could not stop her tears so varad consoled her as like always.

"Look Aastha forget everything. Shlok doesn't know what is he doing but you have to clam and listen to me... I arranged a job for you. It is better than previous job and you will be comfortable there so forget everything and be prepare for next task" he tried to convince her and he seemed successful bit

"You know bhai I don't have a regret to lose the job but I am disheartened due to Shlok behavior. He was so rude and disrespectful at that time and I never forget it," Aastha said tearfully

"Anyway thank you once again to help me," Aastha said thankfully

Aastha worked in another company and it was almost a month passed. Varad always be with him in her every good and bad time. There was a party thrown by Aastha's boss for new successful dealing. Aastha was in green chiffon saari with half blue shiny blouse and she looked like a pure angel.

She entertained the guest and looked happy for her company success in which she played the best role. Her boss was so happy with her and Aastha was comfortable to work there.

"So Miss Kirloskar how are you?" Aastha heard a voice behind her and when he turned she found Mr. Kapadia there. Kapadia was tipsy after drinking and stared Aastha wildly. Aastha changed her facial expression when her boss came

"Oh Miss Kirloskar, meet Mr. Kapadia our new business client and you have assign with him from next week. Aastha was shocked to hear that and remembered how Shlok cancel his deal with for her but fate is fate, she cannot escape now from his clutches. He was trying to hold her when someone pulled her other side. Aastha tried to see and left surprised to see Shlok Agnihotri. He was furious on the situation and in next moment, he dragged her with him in his car

"What the hell? Who are you? What are you trying to do? Leave me just let me go" Aastha shouted on his face nonstop in anger. When Shlok looked her with his fierce eyes and said

"It was my mistake to choose these people for your job now leave them right now. You don't have need to work here" Shlok ordered her when Aastha looked him with killer eyes

"Who are you and how can you ordered me and what are you saying that you choose this job for me. Oh really then why were you fired me from your office? Look Mr. whoever you are don't create a scene so let me go" Aastha shouted in low voice

"Do you forget my name? What is this?" Shlok grinned his teeth on her. He hold her wrist tightly

"You don't matter to me so why I should remember your name" Aastha said every word with grinned teeth when Shlok pulled her close to him

"But you know in this one month I become aware about your importance in my life. I was trying so hard to live away from you but I could not live without you and now after all of that I cannot leave you here for second. Do you hear?" he said in husky voice.

Aastha was surprised to hear all that but she was very angry from Shlok for his action. Her self respect had break due to him so she could not forgive him easily

"Mr. Listen I can not forgive you and I don't believe on your all things so it is better to let me go" Aastha freed her hand from his tight clinch. She tried to get out from the car when Shlok pulled her back in his lap and said in stubborn tone

" I will not go to anywhere" Aastha became super angry and tried to slap Shlok face when he grabbed her hand and kissed her suddenly. Aastha left stunned on his action. Her eyes came out on this sudden happening. She cannot expect this from Shlok.
