SS : THE REUNION
[CHAPTER 4]

Arnav was pacing along the length of his room , debating with himself ...
'Should i ask her ??
Or should i not ?
But why should i ask her ?
Because we both are going at the same place and her room is just next to mine...
So what ?? Can't she manage on her own ?
But she's my friend now , i should show some couretsy at least..!
So what if we are friends ? And why should i be the one to ask ? She can also do the same.
But i am the guy , and i am supposed to ask her not the other way !
I don't care..i won't ask her..that's it !'
Exactly 3 minutes later he found himself , in front of her door memorizing his lines.
He knocked the door meekly and straightened his shirt for the for the upteenth time .
He suddenly heart the click of the door and suddenly felt nervous.
Just as he walked in , Khushi turned away without even looking at him...
She was wearing a fluffy bathrobe and her hair was all wet..
She walked into the room and started drying her hair with the hair drier.
Arnav followed her in but did not step inside the room..
Though Arnav was seeing her back , but he could feel his hear racing due to the intoxicating fragrance that surrounded him..
She had just had a bath he could say due to her appearance and the fruity smell of her shampoo in the air..
He was lost , but was brought back on earth when he heard her speaking.
'I was waiting for you...how come you'r so late ??'
'What ??She knew i was coming ?' Arnav thought getting confused by her behavior.
He was about to say something but stopped when he heard her next word..
'Vishal , why are you so late ? And why didn't you come for the engagement yesterday ? I was waiting for you..uff...Vishal , why aren't you replying ? '
And that simple word 'Vishal' enraged Arnav . He didn't hear a word after that . He clenched his jaws and his hand fisted to control his anger.
Khushi felt weird at the lack of response and turned to look at him.
The hair drier fell on the floor from her hand as her eyes widened .
'Arnav ! You ??' Khushi was totally shocked to see Arnav on the doorstep of her room..his face was stiff and emotionless...
Gone was that flirtatious glint in those eyes that now looked Cold...utterly cold.
'Yeah ! But I guess you were expecting someone else..isn't it ' his voice was unfriendly unlike a few hours back.
Khushi didn't know what to say . 'Yes..i mean..no..Arnav i..'
'Next time when you open the door , kindly use your eyes and look at the person standing on your door instead of just turning away and getting inside your room'
His voice was extremely cold.
Khushi just nodded her head and then asked 'Umm..Arnav did you want something ?'
That's when Arnav realized he like a fool had come here to ask her if she would go to the club with him..
But now he didn't know what excuse to make , so he simply asked - 'How are you going to the club ?' his voice was indifferent.
'I..vo...umm..Vishal will..' But khushi couldn't complete her sentence..as she was cut of by Arnav..
'Okay Bye !' with that Arnav turned and left her room and after a few seconds she heard the the clicking of the main door of her suit , indicating the exit of Arnav.
Khushi sighed and then started getting ready again...

Everybody had reached the club by now...
They were all chatting , dancing , drinking and having fun...!!
Everyone was there except for Khushi.
Since the engagement party , Arnav , Akash , Payal , Lavanya and NK had turned into really good friends and they stood in a corner of the club with their drinks in their hands.
Payal who wore a stylish black halter party dress that reached her mid thighs looked stunning , as the dark color contrasted with her pale complexion .
Lavanya looked utterly sexy wearing a short , strapless , sequined purple dress which reached her upper thighs exposing her long , never ending legs and suited her dusky complexion well.
Well the men weren't looking anything less..,
Akash looked extremely stylish wearing a White shirt paired up with baige pants and NK wore a plain dark purple three quarter v neck t-shirt with a pair of faded gray denim.
But the one who took every girl's breath way in the hall was none other than ASR !
He looked devastatingly handsome in a navy blue t-shirt teamed up with a Chestnut brown leather jacket and a pair of dark blue denim..
The girls swooned glancing at him and trying to grab his attention at every possible opportunity.
'Do you have any idea how the girls are looking at you ?' Lavanya nudged Arnav while Akash and , Payal and NK chuckled.
'Yup Dude !' NK nodded..'See Akash , none of he girls are looking at us with Arnav standing here with us'
'Arre..but we aren't looking that bad either..are we payal ?' He asked.
Payal giggled and nodded.
They all were chatting..but Arnav was silent.
Arnav just smiled and tried to cheer his mood up that was badly smashed sometime back.
Akash had arranged for Cars for all the guests for going to the club.
Some came in groups , while some had come individually...
So , Arnav had thought of asking Khushi if she was willing to go with him (In the same car)...as they were neighbors..yeah..that was the reason..
But Alas ! she had other plans which included not him but her bloody 'Beep' Fiance !
Anyways why should he care ??And..and Why did he feel infuriated every time he thought of that Vishal ??
And why did he react in such a way in her suit ? Why was he so rude with her ?
It wasn't even her fault actually...but why was he so angry ? Why was he so affected ?? He had just met her today..then why ? Why was he so bothered ?
Because you are JEALOUS Mr.Raizada ! A tiny voice in him reminded.
Arnav came out of his reveries when he heard payal speak - 'Finally Khushi madam has come' !
Arnav immediately turned to see her and he felt his breath hitch and he rooted right at the spot.
There she came in dressed in a short sequin scoop club dress paired with black stilettos . Her makeup was minimal . Her hazel eyes enhanced by a stroke of kohl and her already pink plump lips were coated with a single coat of pinkish lip gloss. Her wrist was adorned with a thin diamond bracelet and she wore a pair of tiny silver studs...
She looked gorgeous !
If the girls were drooling on Arnav , it was now the guys's turn to drool on this dazzling lady.
Khushi walked in and walked towards their group. Khushi first hugged Payal and Akash and then Lavanya as well .
She smiled and said 'Hi' to NK and then her her gaze shifted to Arnav who instantly looked away , a part of him guilty for his behavior some time back.
Khushi didn't know what to feel..
She was angry that he behaved so rudely in her suit , she was confused not understanding the reason of this change in his behavior and a part of her was also sad seeing his indifference.
Fortunately no one noticed this and all were busy chattering.
'Khushi , why did you come alone ? You said you'll be coming with Vishaal' payal said sipping her mocktail .
'Erm..vo..actually..he's a bit busy work..and..um..he'll come here directly..in fact, i guess he'll be here any minute.' Khushi said and looked at the door with hopeful eyes and then seeing it empty , he turned her attention towards her friends and smiled at something that NK said , but the smile didn't reach her eyes like it always did and that didn't go unnoticed by a certain Raizada.
He didn't know why , but he felt a sadistic satisfaction in his heart for reasons unknown , but he knew it was wrong.
'Khushi , won't you have a drink' Lavanya asked to which Khushi nodded..
A waiter came to her with a tray of juices and mocktails and she took a glass of orange juice which she hardly sipped.
Everyone was was talking and dancing and having fun except for two . Khushi who after every five minutes was checking her phone or looking towards the door and Arnav was noting each and every action of hers.
Suddenly there was a hush in the hall as someone entered from the gate.
And then people started murmuring to each other about the person. The girls were once again swooning seeing the him.
Standing there was one of the richest and most eligible bachelor of India Vishal kapoor.
Arnav saw Khushi look up at Vishal who smirked at her in return and started walking towards them .
He could feel his blood boil as he came and hugged Khushi and kissed her cheek .
Khushi who was kinda embarrassed at his PDA , tried to move apart but Vishal held her by her waist .
'Hows my baby doing?' he asked and Khushi...
Khushi smiled and blushed 'Erm..i'm fine Vish..'
'Why the hell is the blushing ?? And Vish ?? Like really ? She has given him a pet name too ?' Arnav thought grudgingly.
Arnav couldn't tolerate their lovey-dovey gestures , so he excused himself saying that he wanted to meet some friend of his without giving any attention to Vishal.
Khushi sighed seeing him walk away , and then decided to introduce Vishal to her friends .
'Okay , Vishal meet my friends..you already know Payal and Akash..and this is Lav..'
But Vishal cut her in.
'Khushi baby , i'm so not interested in knowing your friends's name , i've come her just for you'..He said shrugging his shoulders.
Akash rolled his eyes and Payal just sighed. They had met Vishaal before and were aware of his high-handedness.
Lavanya was shocked seeing his attitude and opened her mouth to give him a piece of her mind but stopped as NK kept a hand on her shoulder and shook his head indicating her not to create a scene here.
'I'll just get myself a drink..' Vishaal said and khushi nodded and he walked towards the bar.
Khushi looked and Lavanya apologetically . ' I'm so sorry La , i guess..he is...he is just not in a good mood . I apologize to his behalf' Khushi stated shamefully at her fiance's behavior.
'Its okay Khushi , its not your fault' Lavanya said , but she was still very angry at his over pompous attitude.
'No La , i'm really sorry for his rude behavior..i don't know why he..'
'Its fine Khushi you don't need to apologize' La said this time with a small smile and Khushi too reciprocated with a smile.

'Hey you'r ASR , aren't you?' He asked and sipped his drink.
Arnav turned to find the subject of his irritation behind him with a glass of scotch in his hand .
'Yeah' Arnav curtly said and ordered for his drink.
'You are in this Reunion , so does that mean you were my fiance's classmate ?' he asked smirking .
Arnav didn't know why but he had the urge to punch this guy beside him black an blue when he heard him say 'My Fiance' .
'Hmmm..' was all he said as the bartender handed him his drink.
He gave ample of hints to Vishal that he was not at all interested in talking to him.
And That's when Khushi came there .
She wanted to talk to Vishal for his rude behavior with her friends.
Arnav first looked at Khushi , but then shifted his gaze reluctantly.
'And here comes my baby' Vishal said placing his hands at her waist and giving her a peck on her cheek.
Arnav immediately kept his hand inside the pocket of his denim so that they don't notice him fisting his hand.
'Khushi , baby you didn't tell me that ASR was your classmate' Vishal said giving a look to Arnav and then turning to Khushi.
'Uhh..yeah..i..' Khushi stammered feeling nervous to share space with Arnav and Vishal at the same time for some unknown reason.
Suddenly Arnav interrupted.
'I'm being called there , so i guess i'll see you guys later' he said looking at Vishal , not sparing a look at Khushi.
'Sure Mr.Raizada ! It was nice to meet you' Vishal spoke again..while Khushi felt as if she had lost her ability to speak.
'Same here' Arnav replied with a curt nod and left the two of them.
Arnav felt angry and relieved at the same time.
Angry because he was left alone with Khushi...well , big deal ! Khushi must have been to numerous dates with her fiance alone , but he could still feel his blood boil.
And then he felt relieved as he got rid of that Vishal whose face was enough make irk him completely.
Arnav walked back to his group only to find a serious NK trying to pacify a sulking Lavanya , while Akash and Payal sighing and shaking their head.
'Hey what happened ? You all seem..' Arnav trailed off , getting confused at the scene..
'Well..nothing..its just that...' Akash started to be interrupted by Lavanya,
'That Vishal Kapoor is an Ass****e' she said frowning but keeping her volume low.
'Hi 5' Arnav wanted to say but instead he spoke ' But what exactly happened?'
Akash narrated him the whole incident and hearing that , Arnav's dislike towards him increased by 1000 folds..
Lavanya continued to curse him under her breath ' Bloody Arrogant Bas***d' while NK continued his consoling..
Arnav turned to glance at the couple again but was surprised to find them absent .
He looked around himself , but couldn't find them anywhere.
He didn't know why but he felt somewhat restless and worried for Khushi .
He tried to remain calm for sometime and distracted himself in talking to various people..
But after a few minutes the worry returned to him.
Finally , Curiosity and restlessness got better of him and he again excused himself to look for Khushi and Vishal , while Lavanya-NK and Akash Payal went to the dance floor.
Arnav walked through the dance floor , the bar , the casino , the lounge but found no clue of them..
He was getting more and more worried now.
Finding them nowhere , he at last walked out of the club to check if they where there by any chance.
But he saw no one there..
He was about to get back inside the club when he heard some sound..no..actually some voices..and yeah , familiar voices.
He followed the voices and found himself at the back side of the night club.
And with that he also found the object of his search..
Khushi was there talking to Vishal..
No , arguing to be more specific !
The argument was quite heated he realized when he walked a bit further..
He could now hear them almost clearly.
Arnav Singh raizada was never a person to listen to someone's private talks.
But he wasn't himself since he had met certain Khushi Gupta this morning..he had been doing things he had no idea why he was doing .
And so for the first time in his life he was going to do this..
Arnav Singh Raizada was going to eavesdrop on their conversation.
