The main complainant, activist and advocate Vinod Gangwal said, "The FIR has been lodged against the film producer Indra Kumar and others under Cinematography Act and also Information Technology Act for showing such vulgar and lascivious content on the websites."
Police inspector (crime) of Vashi police station, Sangeeta Alphonso said, "We have registered the FIR against the film producer Indra Kumar and officials of YouTube and Google, since an 'adults only' film is available on the Net.'' She added that further investigation will be taken before taking any action.
Gangwal said that he was shocked to see his minor son watching this adult film.
"The film has very vulgar dialogues and scenes which demean women. That is why I decided to lodge a police complaint,'' he said.
Earlier, Mumbai police commissioner Satyapal Singh had also urged Hindi film fraternity members to stop showing women in poor light.Meanwhile, an independent Bollywoodpublicist, Dale Bhagwagar said that , defended the movie. "Censorship is fast becoming obsolete. There is no way we can stop po*n, nudity or vulgarity in the age of internet and social media."
He added that the only way to protect the youngsters from such content is to become extremely conservative or have a self-censorship policy .
Gangwal said that filmmakers must not publicise or promote their film on the websites if the Censor Board has already given it an Adults only certificate.
