Hello green any chances of knowing what happens in my cabin today?😉
"Mr Dhurandar Bhataw... Bhat... Mr Dhurandar ji, how may I help you? Is there a problem?" Zoya asked nervously after the man who'd barged into the cabin introduced himself. She tried her best to maintain eye contact with the fervid immigration officer in standing across the desk in Anu's cabin. But it was proving to be difficult not only because of her nervousness, but also because she couldn't seem to move her attention away from his interesting moustache. How did he get it so perfectly pencil-thin anyway?
But before Mr Bhatawdekar could get to answering Zoya, Anu's phone rang shrilly, making everyone in the room turn their attention to her. Anu smiled apologetically as the four sets of eyes stared her down, and fumbled a little as she answered her phone.
"Miss Mishra, please tell Miss Farooqui to check her phone immediately, I have left her a text message," Asad spoke curtly into the phone, not even bothering with pleasantries. Anu nodded as she looked up and saw Asad standing outside her glass door, and then cut the call, nudging Zoya immediately. Zoya had filled her in on the entire situation while they were having lunch together earlier, so she understood the gravity of what was going on.
"Zoya, Mr Khan is standing outside. He's left you a text message, check your phone quickly," Anu whispered casually into Zoya's ear, trying her best to keep the smile on her face. Zoya gave her a short nod and then leaned onto the desk in front of her, grinning unnecessarily widely as she reached for her phone slowly.
"What's so interesting in your phone right now Miss Farooqui, more important than discussing your visa issues with me? I'd like to see it too," Mr Bhatawdekar snapped, right before Zoya could open the text message. The phone fell out of her hand back onto the table out of shock, and she gulped as Mr Bhatawdekar picked it up for her, poised to open the message.
"Jahapanah? Yeh kaisa naam hai? Khair, let's see what's inside," Mr Bhatawdekar announced nosily, as his thumb hovered on the open message icon. Anu and Zoya shared a look of horror, completely unsure of what to do, and then turned to glare at a highly amused Prasad, trying his best to stifle his laughter.
"Mr Dhurandar Bhataw... Bhat... Accha jo bhi hai, please don't read my message! Woh mera boyfriend hai, toh woh... personal message hoga you see," Zoya said, blinking more times than normal in order to look shy. Mr Bhatawdekar narrowed his eyes as he watched her antics, but finally shrugged and placed the phone back down on the desk, deciding that he had more important matters to attend to anyway.
"Theek hai. I have a few questions to ask you about your job and your visa papers. Dolly, please pass me my clipboard," Mr Bhatawdekar told his assistant as he finally started getting down to business. Zoya looked over his shoulder to make eye contact with Asad standing outside the cabin, pouting sadly as she tried to convey her helplessness to him.
Zoya watched Asad close his eyes in slow motion and then massage his forehead, before opening them and then beckoning her to come out of the cabin with his finger. Zoya's eyes darted from Mr Bhatawdekar to Asad, her forehead creasing with worry as she tried to figure out how to get out. She saw him shake his head disappointedly, before pushing the cabin door open and walking in confidently.
"Prasad, tum yahan ho? Main tumhe kabse dhundh raha tha. Mujhe laga tum BATHROOM mein the, isliye maine wahan dekhne gaya. Chalo, mujhe tumse kuch kaam hai. Sorry for interrupting!" Asad announced, before walking back out, an embarrassed Prasad hot on his heels. Zoya hid her amusement as she marvelled at Asad's guts. She cleared her throat loudly once the two men left the cabin, getting Mr Bhatawdekar's attention back.
"Main aapka sawalon ka jawab dena chahti hoon, lekin mujhe urgently bathroom jaana hai. Woh kya hai na, female problems?" Zoya said, trying to sound as embarrassed as possible. Mr Bhatawdekar seemed genuinely embarrassed though, as he opened and closed his mouth wordlessly. He eventually nodded, and Zoya shared a mini high five with Anu under the desk. She quickly hurried to the cabin door and swung it open to find Asad standing next to the door, his arms crossed and eyebrow raised.
"Wait Miss Zoya, Dolly aapke saath jayegi. Aap toh jaanti hi hai, main kaide plus kanoon ka bohut hi sakht aadmi hoon. Yeh kanoon ka mamla hai, so I won't let you go off so easily. Kya jaane, you might be trying to run away! Dolly, go with her," Mr Bhatawdekar instructed his assistant, putting an abrupt end to Zoya's short-lived happiness. Asad backed away immediately after he heard Mr Bhatawdekar and saw Dolly walk up behind Zoya, lest he be seen by either of them. Zoya groaned inwardly as she walked to the bathroom with Dolly by her side. Could this get any worse?!
