In the film Arth, when Raj Kiran proposes to her in the climax, Shabana tells him that she needs time out to discover herself. After the disappointment of a failed marriage, she does not want to weave her life around yet another man immediately after.

Assuming that Zoya is disappointed with Asad ( except for mild murmurs I am yet to see any indication of major disillusionment), and even supposing that she is continuing with this farce in the interests of Nikhat and company, does this mean she has to stick to this relationship for a lifetime or fall in love with Ayaan? Does a woman need a man, some man or any man to prop her up?

In Arth, Shabana and Raj were good friends ( even if they did not share the shower or jump into each other's arms at every opporunity) and yet, Shabans had the grace to say that she wanted a period of self-discovery!

Jumping in and out of love and beds with different partners is no crime! However, is there any reason to portray Zoya that way? Unless of course Gul equates progressive with falling in love at the drop of a hat?

Again, Ayaan and Humeira's relationship has been fairly lovingly crafted. Ayaan's character went through a sort of a coming of age journey when, during the memory lapse phase, he understood the depth of his feelings for Humeira. Suddenly, on the basis of a few random under the shower and out of the shower hugs, he is going to discover that it is Zoya he loves? What does this make of him as a character?

I believe that writers need to have a modicum of respect for the characters they create. If Ayaan is made to fall in love with Humeira after all this, that would be wilfull character assasination on the part of the writers. Why would you do that? Simply to go back to your original premise that you had more or less abandoned in the last one year?

If the characters are to be invested with integrity, first off the makers should have their integrity in place.

The ridiculously cheap and regressive tactics that have been adopted by the makers time and again leads one to really wonder.
