Before you read this part, I want all of you to know I am in prison, so it's very hard updating regulary. Yeah I am talking about college and with finals coming up Teachers are loading us with loads of hwk 😡. 😭 I will still be updating till I can. I will inform you all when I want break but that's far, not to worry at the moment. Love you guys for your lovely comments and I love reading them and keep them coming.
Chapter Nine
Gauri followed Shiv downstairs. The room was filled with tension and nervousness on everyone faces. Every member of family was present and were all looking towards the lady who is in her twenties. Mahen Kapoor walked to Shiv, who was looking confused, looked at his father eyes that were filled with nothing but anger and betrayal.
"What am I hearing? Do you know her?" he asked pointing at the lady.
"No" he answered.
The girl who has a hope glittered across her face suddenly vanished away. She came upto him and shook him, "What are you saying Shiv? It's me Sneha. What are you afraid of?" He grew irritated at her as she was bluffing away non-sense that he pushed her away.
"What nonsense is that? Do you want money I'll give it you?"
Sneha came up to him and wiped a slap across his face. Everyone was shocked. "Money? Is that what you can give me after all Money? How would it matter to you? Huh? I mean you did this with every girl and dump them as tissue. I can't believe I loved you!"
Gauri came up to the girl, "Listen lady I think you got wrong person, he's married!"
Sneha laughed manically, "Married? How many other wives do you have? She has the right to know, I AM PREGANT WITH YOUR CHILD!" she yelled at them. There was pin drop silence in the room.
"I don't believe you" Mahen said, "My son is never capable of doing these dirty acts!"
"I knew it you would ask for proofs!" She handed him reports. Everyone was looking at him. Mahen walked up to Shiv gave him slaps. There were certain gasped heard, gauri looked at papa. "Papa what are you doing? Shiv can't do this"
"See this is what you call perfect wife but you disgust me Shiv. Is this how you pay us?"
"But Dad -"
"Don't you call me Dad? I want you out of house NOW!" Everyone looked at him shocked, Shiv however looked frustrated yet heart. He has never been insulted that much or yelled at from his own father and now No one believed him. Gauri fell to floor crying.
"I didn't do it! Why doesn't anyone believe me?"
"Do you think I would lie that down to get you! The reports always say the truth!" She throws the reports at his face and left. Soon everyone gave him disgust and shameful looks and left along with Gauri.

Gauri entered the room to see furious Shiv pacing the room. Her eyes danced with sense of victory yet relief. She walks to the bed humming to her and makes her self comfortable. Shiv gives her annoying look and surprised as how calm she is and how upset she looked down there. "Someone is having mood swings today?"
"Will you shut up for today?" he snapped at her. "I can't believe that bloody b***** is capable of doing this!"
Gauri smilingly rolled her eyes. "Do you want help?" she said with a tone of sarcastic. He looked at her with his eyebrows raised. Gauri sighs and walks up to him. "Shiv… Shiv, I thought you would be clever enough to understand who did this but you proved yourself to be the world's dumbest person!"
"Cut the crap, get to the point!"
"The point Mr. Shiv is -"
"You!" he bellowed at her as if his anger has reached the limit. "Bloody ***" as he raises his hand but was stop midway by her. "Don't you dare call me that! That's only the start! Funny how you didn't see it was me but what can I expect you're dumb yourself!"
"Keep your ugly mouth shut!"
"What happened? Don't have any thing to do? I dare you to prove yourself till tomorrow night! You have 24 hours!"
"Don't think about me. Worry about yourself sweetheart because when's the game is over you'll be out of the house!"
"You wish!"
Through out these hours Shiv was never seen in the house while Gauri acted being sad and received sympathy by other family members. It was her victory this time and she won't let him win or live peacefully. Although she hated to do this but she was tempted to show him; it was in her nature to get the justice she seeks.
Shiv got his hands on Sneha through the doctor who created fake reports. The family were all sitting in the main area tensed yet nervous. Shiv has told them that he'll get proof by hook or crook. Gauri on the other hand sat like a free bird as if she has nothing to worry about. She knew Shiv can get proof of whether it's fake or not but the real proof is Sneha herself whom she told to leave the city straight away as It would be difficult for him to find her.
She felt confused the way Shiv reacted even if the lie was known to be truth. She never expected him to rape her that would result in more misunderstandings and war in their relationship. What if she and Soham were to run away why he would care? He has clearly pointed her to get out of his life when he discovered why he did that. Although she was beginning to understand him and never blamed him for his rudeness towards her because she was forcing him to stay with her for sake of her father. She knew, he never wanted to be in this relation, it was because of his father he did. And she respected him for that. Although she had a hope of them getting friendly understanding each other but it died away when Shiv raped her. She was shattered inside and out. It was for Nisha who gave her the hope and bought the young Gauri back.
Shiv entered the home with Sneha. Everyone looked at them and exchange glances with everybody. Gauri sat with Dadi looking at him. The sight of Sneha shocked her. She starred at her with full of confusion on her face and then to Shiv who showed no sign of victory.
"Well" Mahen said, "Do you have to say anything?"
Shiv with out saying any thing handed papers to him while everyone watched Mahen. "Non sense" he cried throwing the paper away. "Do you think I will believe the papers? Why would she lie to such an extent?"
Shiv didn't say anything. "The reports were true" Sneha said finally avoiding everyone's gaze. Mahen looked at her shocked, "You can say the truth, we are here with you and nothing will happen to you!"
Her face burst into tears as she sobbed into her hands. "I lied" she said. "Someone paid me to say that all. I am not pregnant and I don't even know him. Please forgive me!"
"Forgive you?" Nikhila snorted. "I think this matter should be taken to police?"
Sneha looked horrified, Gauri gulped down. She didn't want her to suffer because of her and she won't let mistake of Shiv repeat to her. But before any one could say Shiv interrupted her, "Mom leave it, she was forced to do so. Someone forced, it's not her fault!"
Gauri starred at Shiv shocked, what new game is he playing at? Was he actually trying to save her?

"Do you think you can win this time just by being nice to me? Well Nice try but I can't see how you are going to win because I am not going to fall for it!" Gauri said.
Shiv starred at her and ignored her question. He grabbed his clothes and went for shower. Gauri grinned.
After one minutes, she laughed as she heard Shiv scream from the shower. She has switched the main hot water tapped off. Seconds later Shiv emerged from shower in his night suit.
As Gauri made the bed for her on the floor, she heard Shiv say to take the bed. At first she thought was imaging thing but then again she heard his husky voice, "You can take the bed I'll sleep on the floor"
She looked at him through the mirror as he fixed his hair. "Being nice doesn't suit you."
Shiv opened his mouth to say anything coughed. And again and followed by few more. Gauri walked up to him and put her hands on his temple. Shiv looked at her surprised. Muttering something underneath her breath Shiv watched her walked out of room. He shook his head and coughed again.
As Gauri entered the room again holding a cup of milk and tablets. She found the room colder, her eyes found the A.C on. She looked at Shiv who settled himself on the floor bed reading magazine. She snatched the magazine away from him and gave him a cup.
He looked at the cup confused, "Don't worry it's not poison, its milk that ought to sort your coughs" And handed him tablet. Surprising them both Shiv drank the milk tightly holding the nose in one hand and drank the whole cup. A small smile curled on her lips. And then he swallowed tablet making faces, Gauri handed him a glass of water.
"Go to bed Shiv, I'm used to the floor" Gauri said, suddenly feeling tired.
"Well try something new" He said as he laid himself down.
"Where's the remote of A.C?"
"Why?"
"WHY?" She said angrily, "For god's sake you're ill and got cold and you're turning A.C on?
Shiv looked at her, "You're worried about me?"
"Of course I am. I mean how I would get to fight you if you're ill"
"I am not going to turn the A.C off because I want it on. It's my room so get used to it"
Feeling tired and helpless she went to bed and fell asleep straight away while Shiv smiled to himself. At the middle of night Gauri woke up, she turned to see Shiv shivering. Cursing him, she got up and touched his face, it was burning hot. Worried, she shook him and told him to sleep on bed. Shiv refused and was about to argue when Gauri yelled at him for being careless. He went to bed. Gauri found the remote under his pillows and turned it off.
The morning sun light rays hit him in the eye. Slowly he opened his eyes but unable to move his body as if he was lazy. He looked at Gauri who was sitting beside him checking his temple.
"You are not leaving the room today" She instructed him as she put the thermometer on his mouth. He watched her look impatiently at the time couldn't help but smile mentally.
"Oh my you have got very high temperature, who told you to get shower at night time?" she said as she read the thermometer.
He opened his mouth to speak; it felt dry with not taste. Once again muttering something under her breath Shiv watched her get up and go away when Shiv took hold of her wrist. She looked back at him, "Will you please do the honours to say loudly what ever you were just saying" Gauri glared at him angrily and walked away. Shiv laughed at her. He sighed.
