Supernatural is going to take us on a
bit of a roller coaster ride. This week
we had a Castiel-heavy episode that
focused a lot on his newfound
humanity. We saw him struggle with
the most basic of human tasks such
as eating and sleeping, but this
whole situation was made worse by
the fact that he was homeless and
nearly penniless. Then added trouble
came in the form of new angel
Bartholomew, who was, apparently,
Naomi's second-in-command and is
now determined to hunt Castiel down
(using the new faction of freelance
reapers). When Ezekiel popped out to
warn Dean that Cas was being
hunted, the elder Winchester
convinced his brother they needed to
find their former angel friend.
Unfortunately, that was easier said
than done, as Castiel had wisely put
warding tattoos on himself so that he
was untraceable by angels. And
when the Winchesters hit a brick wall
in their own search, Dean called out
Zeke for help in finding him, which
he managed to do. He also healed
Castiel's fatal stab wound, courtesy
of a reaper who was freelancing for
Bart. In the growing confusion of
how Cas got healed, Dean was forced
to lie to his brother and his friend in
order to keep Zeke's presence in
their lives a secret. And when Zeke
insisted that Castiel had to go
because his presence in the bunker
was a threat to Zeke, Dean was
forced to send him away in order to
ensure that Zeke remained in Sam's
body to heal him.
Meanwhile, next week's Supernatural
is going to do a 180 and give us
what looks like a fun episode. Charlie
is back to help the Winchesters with
a computer problem when they
realize they might be able to use a
Men of Letters computer to track the
rogue angels.
But when Charlie and the boys start
tinkering with the computer, they
unknowingly unleash...Dorothy? It
turns out that the Oz heroine and the
Wicked Witch are both real and now
they're prowling the bunker halls.
Dorothy teams up with Charlie and
the Winchesters to find the Witch
before she wreaks some havoc (and,
apparently, makes an unholy alliance
with Crowley).
