Collecter Sab shiv

I wonder shiv is a collector and he should be able to look at facts and not being fooled by sanchi .
Sanchi can emotionally fool Ira and her father but don't you think it's super simple for shiv to catch her fake attempt of suicide... She broke a vase and there was no table around ... Is our IAS officer such a fool ?
