"Come with me Arnav." Coach Shah said as soon as Khushi said the closing lines.
"Sure sir." I said and left Khushi and Rahul in the room.
"Arnav, where are the papers I gave you yesterday?" Coach asked me.
"They are with Rishabh and there he is." I said pointing at Rishabh.
"I'll be back in a minute." I said as they started talking.
I went in search of Khushi and she was still in that room.
"Are you married?" I heard Rahul ask Khushi.
"What? No." She replied.
"Well you know, I'm single"
"So?" That guy was flirting with her and what was she doing? Why was she leading him on?
"You know, you're hot and..." I could not listen to that anymore and so I went back to Rishabh.
"You went to meet that girl right?" Coach asked me as I went in.
"Yes" I admitted. I had tried to lie to him many times and every time I had failed. O this time I told the truth straightaway.
"I knew it. Rishabh you know how he was looking at her? She didn't give in easily though." Coach Shah was very happy for me and I loved this carefree nature of his, which happened only around we two. Others would not even joke if he were around.
Well, was it so obvious from my behaviour?' I asked myself.
"I know coach." Rishabh said, finally breaking the silence.
"Yeah right, you might know. You both are the best of friends' right?"
"That is not the only reason. She is my t be sister in law."
"Really?"
"Yeah! I got engaged a few weeks ago."
"Congrats Rishabh"
"Thanks."
We heard a knock on the door. It was Khushi.
What was she doing here?
Remember Arnav, you are irritated at her for leading him on while he was openly flirting with her.' I told myself.
"Come in Ms. Gupta." Coach said to her.
"What are you doing here?" My question shocked the three people in the room.
"What do you mean Arnav?" She asked me coming out of the initial shock.
"Excuse me guys, I'll leave." Coach Shah said before he left the room.
"Why did you say that, Arnav? I came to meet you."
"And you had time before that to flirt with him?"
"It was not like that Arnav, listen to me."
"I don't have to listen to your explanations, I heard everything."
"Not everything I guess."
"Does it matter? The thing is he was flirting and you were leading him on, right?"
"Hey you two, I don't get what you are talking about." Rishabh interrupted us.
It is okay Rishabh; let him think what he wants to. Can you drop me home? I was planning to go with... well leave it. Can you?" She asked facing him.
So she was planning to come with me? Then why did he flirt with him' I told myself.
"Wow, is that the only thing you can do? Runaway?" I asked her in a sarcastic tone.
I do not know what made me say that. Niveda and I were not twins, was her pregnancy hormones affecting me?
"Rishabh?" She called him; it made him look away from me. I think that guy is shocked with my behaviour. I cannot blame him I was too.
"Coming, Khushi. Can you wait for a minute? I'll be out soon."
"Okay I'll wait next to your car." She said and went out. She did not even spare a glance at me.
"What the hell is wrong with you dude?" Rishabh asked me as soon as Khushi was out of sight.
"I don't know." I admitted.
"What the..." He said.
"That was my line."
"What do you mean Arnav? Tell me why were you both fighting?" I heard his phone ring, but he didn't even look at the caller ID before cutting the call.
"She was flirting with him."
"With whom?"
"Rahul"
"What? Rahul? Are you kidding me Arnav?"
"I am damn serious Rishabh." I said.
"But Arnav are you sure? You mean Rahul Shukla was flirting with Khushi?"
"So?"
"Listen to me Arnav, you are mistaken for sure."
"If you want to be on her side, then okay. I do not mind. You need not justify on her behalf."
"Arnav" He tried calling me.
"Rishabh NO"
"Okay, later don't tell me that I didn't warn you."
"I won't, now go."
Why did she have to do that? I was upset over a small thing and I knew that. It was not like she was flirting with him. It was only Rahul. He was the one guilty and not her. Still I was angry at her for leading him on.
"You are still here? I thought you might have left with your girlfriend." Coach Shah said as he came in.
"Yeah I am. Do you need anything?" I asked him.
"No I don't."
"Okay."
"Why didn't you leave with her?"
"oh that..." I couldn't continue.
"Why? What happened? I can see you are irritated."
"No coach, there is nothing to say."
"I don't believe that Arnav, I can read from your face that something is not right. Tell me What isthe reason"
"He won't be able to answer that question coach, ask him who the reason is." It was Rahul who said that.
I turned away from him at that moment.
"What do you mean Rahul?"
"I mean what I said coach, Arnav is upset all because of me." He explained.
"And why is that?" Coach demanded.
"Because he thinks that I was flirting with his girlfriend."
"You know that?" Coach asked him. The same question was on my mind and I was grateful to him for asking that.
"I wasn't sure until I heard him shouting at her earlier." He said.
Did I shout at her?' I asked myself. Well I guess I was out of mind.
"Why did you do that Arnav" Coach asked me.
"I'll explain coach." Rahul interrupted.
"What is there to explain Rahul?" I asked him furiously.
"One is he didn't hear our full conversation and the next big thing is forgot something very important about me."
"And what would that be?"
"I am married and have two kids. I love my family."

Oh shit, I forgot that. That was another reason I adored him. How could I? He was a good cricketer, captain and at the same time a family oriented person. I should have listened to Khushi. Maybe that was what she wanted to tell me. That was why Rishabh said later don't tell me that I didn't warn you'. I should have let at least him explain to me. I am in deep shit. What will I do now? How will I face Khushi?
"You forgot that, right bro?" Rahul asked me.
"Yeah. What am I supposed to do now?"
"You two continue, I have some work left." Coach said as he exited.
"Sure coach, bye." Rahul said.
"See you tomorrow." I said back.
"Well as I was saying, go to her with some flowers. Girls love flowers."
"I do that all the time."
"Then call your best friend Rishabh. I'm sure he will help you."
"I hope he will. I didn't listen to him and did not give him a chance to explain when he tried to remind me."
"We can only hope. All the best."
"Thanks bro, I'm sorry."
"It is okay. See you tomorrow."
"Sure, bye."
KHUSHI
How could he do that? It was not as I was the one who was flirting with him. It was just him, I did not even allow him to finish. First, how did he know? Maybe he must have come to see me. Still he could have given me a chance. Well, let him be, I don't mind. He chose not to believe me, now let him come to me.
I saw Rishabh coming towards the car.
"I am sorry, I made you wait." He said.
"It is fine."
"I tried to tell him, but he would not listen. "
"It is okay."
"What Khushi, how could he not remember?"
"Remember what Rishabh? What are you talking about now?"
"What? You don't know too? What a couple do we have here? I thought you were trying to remind him that"
"What?"
"You call yourself a journalist? That too a sports specialist? I mean seriously Khushi?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Well aren't you all required to know everything about the sportsperson?"
"Yeah"

"Hello sir." I said picking up Mr. Sharma's call.
"I have mailed you the details of the work you have to complete by tomorrow morning Khushi. If you complete the task you are going to South Africa, else I will have to find out someone else for the trip."
"I'll do my best sir. I'll send them back to you."
"I want hard copy of all the work."
"Sure sir, as you wish."
"What happened?" Rishabh asked me as the call ended.
"Mr. Sharma has assigned me some tasks. Finish it and I can go to South Africa, else someone else will be in."
"Then you need to finish it soon."
I nodded in agreement.
"Now tell me what have you decided about Arnav?"
"Oh that..." I began, but my phone cut me off again.
"Sorry, it is your fiance."
"Hey Anya." I said attending the call.
"Where are you sis?"
"With your to be husband."
"Oh Rishabh is with you? He did not attend my call earlier." She said.
"Why didn't you attend her call?" I asked Rishabh.
"I was talking to Arnav. I didn't know it was her." He said.
"You heard him right?" I asked her.
"Yeah, is he driving?"
"Yup. He is dropping me home."
"What happened to your boyfriend?"
"I don't know and I don't care."
"What is the problem?" She asked me and I told her what happened.
"Don't spare him sis, he did not listen to you. Make him pay."
"Sure sis, I will."
"Okay then, tell Rishabh to bring you to my place."
"No sis, I will tell him to come to yours. I have lots of pending work to do."
"But Khushi..."
"Not tonight di, I have lots of work to do. We will catch up later."
"Okay the, bye."
"Bye, take care." I said and cut the call.
"She has asked you to go to her place."
"I was planning to. I won't be able to able to see her tomorrow as we are leaving early in the morning."
"Oh..."
"When are you leaving?" He asked me.
"Tomorrow night. That is only if I am the one to go."
"Why so early? I mean we have to cope up with the climate and all those things."
"I do not know."
"Okay."
"Rishabh, tell me when are you and your fiance giving us an interview?'
"Do we have to?"
"You have to." I said with a bright smile.
