Chapter 13

The moon light pierced into the clouds, the howls got louder, all the clouds made a pathway for the moonlight. She felt herself rooted to the ground, her forehead covered with sweat and each path of her body trembled with an unknown feeling. Her eyes were hooked on his, Uday could not prevent it, and his beastly appearance was exposed to Manyata. All his life he had prayed this day would never come he never wanted her to see this beastly appearance of him. It made him feel disgust at himself , he felt himself ugly and wild a creature that could only scare people but whereas when he was into his real self he was handsome and charming but now he know no matter which appearance he is in Manyata would reject him, his eyes was brimming with tears. For the first time he was crying as he was sure that now she would never accept him. But this was not what Manyata thought, she looked at him amazed, instantly she forgot that this was a person who captured her and drifted her apart from her family and beloved. For her only a wolf stood with a white washed fur, his eyes had a brown glint and his face reflected innocence she was neither scared nor disgust as she made her way towards him, she took slow steps and on reaching him.

I should have done that
I should have ignored it
like something i couldn't see
I shouldn't have looked at you at all
I should have run away
I hould have acted like i didn't hear it
like something I couldn't hear.
I shouldn't have listened to love at all

Her hands went caressing his face which was so soft and smooth, he did not understand the cause of her loving behavior but just pushed his face closer to her palm, her eyes travelled down his face the moon light made him look more heavenly and more beautiful. She completely forgot that it was Udayveer to her this person was someone very innocent and sweet, the eyes had lots of pain in it which Manyata wanted to sweep away.

Why does it hurts so much?
Why does it hurts continuously ?
Except for the fact that i can't see you anymore
And that you are not here anymore
Otherwise, it's the same as before.

She did not realize when her lips went touching smooth cheek, she closed her eyes to feel the moment as her tongue went smooching his cheek, his happiness knew no bounds as slowly she proceeded towards his lips, she did not actually intend to kiss him but lay a small peck but it is too hard to satisfy the needs of the beast, he was transforming and when he was back being Uday his hands caught the back of her hair pushing her face more towards himself as his lips went exploring each corner of her mouth, their tongue fought with each other, his demands were high as he went chewing on her lower lips, he left her all breathless as his lips travelled down to kiss her neck he felt himself being pushing away by her, losing his balance he almost crumbled on the floor as he watched her looking into his eyes, she neither was shouting nor was crying she was simply staring at him, he found it so hard to understand what was she thinking exactly. But these beautiful moments were disturbed as her eyes fell on his uncovered chest and hurriedly turned away she ran downstairs before he could stop her he realized that he was bare chested, he picked up the shirt and wore it. A naughty smirk came to his face as he cherished the moments they spend a moment ago their first proper kiss and the best part was it was neither forced nor started off by him which meant she too had feeling for him though it completely shocked him that she was not scared of his beasty appearance.

I zoned out. I become a fool because I cry looking at the sky

I think my heart was surprised to send you away without any preperations

Here she locked herself in the room changed into her night dress and she laid herself on the bed, she looked out of the window as she remembered the moments she spend with the beastly form of uday, she blushed at the thought of their kiss and at a point she realized she too needed uday the way he needed her though this unknown feeling still played a puzzle in her heart. She sat beside the window wrapped in shawl looking down at the snow covered hill as a cute smile kept playing on her face. A knock disturbed into her thought she was aware of the person as she stood up adjusting her messed hair and opened the door her eyes was fixed down at the floor as she heard his voice

UDAY: I am sorry the date was ruined completely

She looked up as she said to him with a sweet smile

MANYATA: maybe not completely as I got to see your beastly appearance

He rolled his eyes and said in a cold tone

UDAY: yea such an appearance that is good to share people as it is so ugly and wild

She moved towards him, taking his hands in hers as she said him

MANYATA; Uday your beastly appearance do not scare me instead I saw the innocence and beauty in it but this appearance the harshness behind this handsome face and the savageness covered under your charm definitely scare me this is what makes you ugly as beauty lies within one heart not in their appearance

He stood there watching her, he was moved by her words, each of her words touched his heart, for the first time someone liked him for what he was not for what he wanted to become, since childhood he thought it as a curse but today he is not ashamed of himself as she shoved her hands to distract him and finally said

MANYATA: it's getting late I think we should sleep

UDAY: sure good night manyata

MANYATA: good night and sweet dreams Uday

As she watched him going from there she locked the door and tugged herself inside the blanket. She kept turning and tossing yet failed to sleep, her eyes was fixed on the ceiling and her mind was paused in the few moments she shared with Uday that night. Something had definitely changed her that night as all this while thinking about Uday a pure innocent smile played on her face.

The morning sun waits for none, and soon the dark night was turned into bright sunlight. Life waits for no one, the one left behind are to be forgotten but it was not that easy for Mayur. Manyatas parents had left and they took daisaa along, anindita parents took her to her maternal aunty house for a change of mood. Now it was only Mayur and Nawang left behind a perfect chance for Mayur to dig out the truth. He was aware that winters were approaching and likewise every year half of the population of the town will migrate down to the planes and it will be deserted town a perfect time to rescue his love. Here manyata unaware of all this was wrapped in the warm blanket as Uday tip toed in her room, placed the hot water bucket in the bathroom and sat beside her as he always did that as he loved to watch her sleep, she looked so peaceful and so innocent unlike other time when she really got loud in her protest and stayed coy. He sat beside her as his hands were caressing her face and he said in a warm voice

UDAY: princess you know I love watching you this way... this is the only time of the day when you do not have complain regarding me or you are not fighting me. I wish thing were just like this between us since the day I fell for you I always imagined our life like this, you would wake me up with a warm smile and a peck on my lips, then I would help you with your house hold chores, and then each evening we will have a candle light dinner but maybe our dreams are often meant to be scattered anyway princess each day with you is special I really do not mind any of your protest till the time I have you by my side, and princess thanks for the words that you said to me last night it really meant a lot to me

Saying this he placed a soft kiss on her forehead and left the room letting his princess have some more sleep. Little did he know manyata was more than awake, she felt him touch and heard all his words clearly that day but instead of protesting she just wanted to feel his love for her? She sat on the bed and looked out of the closed door, his words rang in her ears with a pleasant tone, as she touched her face the same places which were touched by him a moment ago. She had already lost control over her heart she did not know why but now she had no complain or demand for him. She did not want to accuse him a beast anymore. She got herself a shower from the water kept by him and got into a beautiful red anarkali, today she took extra care while dressing her hair. She wanted to look the best in front of him and rechecked her several time as she did not want any flaw. Satisfied by her appearance she went down the steps to find the breakfast already in the table she took a seat beside Uday which actually shocked him too as she said in a warm voice

MANYATA: good morning uday

UDAY: woa princess what up with you?

MANYATA: nothing why?

UDAY: no I mean Indian clothes and you are speaking to me in a sweet tone also is it a new plan to escape

MANYATA: no it is no plan I just wanted to wear something different and I am already tired of the silly fight

UDAY: why so? Is it that the beauty has fallen in love with the beast?
