Khushi ,Anjali and Nk waited as Arnav instructed Aman for the finailities,mischievous glances passed among the three as they saw him coming towards them.As Arnav approached nearer,Nk moved to take his seat behind when Arnav stopped him and said.

"Nk,I am too tired to drive,you take on the wheels for today"and giving him no chance to argue went ahead and took the seat behind.the three of them quicklt took their respective seats and headed for home.as Arnav took the very eager Aashi from Khushi in his arms and was instantly rewarded by a full blown smle,he felt the entire stress and tiredness of past weeks leaving his mind and body.he hugged her close ,though it had been few days but to him it felt as if it had been so long he spent some quality time with her.he never wanted to miss even a glimpse of her childhood.But this was something that was needed to be done for Aashi and Khushi and finally today he was able to fulfill the promise he has made to himself that day.

Khushi saw the relief wash over Arnav's face,she exactly knew what he was feeling,the fashion show,the announcement,his dedication,the thought that was behind the entire dedication his effort to make her feel content and secured,she saw the contentment as he held Aashi close to him,his eyes glinting everytime she made a move or noise,she has known he would be a good father but at every point he was outruling her expectations,he was the best father any child can ever have and the feeling of being able to share parenthood with him was an eternal bliss for her.

Arnav senses her gaze on him,to find Khushi looking at him with pride and adulation filled eyes,as instinctively he kept a firm hold on Aashi,their eyes remain locked silently conveying what they have confessed innumerable times to each other.Their trance was broken by a cough from Anjali who by now was very used to these love stares her brother and Bhabhi often get indulged into.Winking at Nk to start off she sat upright in her seat ahead.Nk taking the cue spoke

"Nannav,aaj to ek bahut bada ghajuba ho gaya".(Nannav,today a very strange thing took place).

"Nk bhai dhajooba nahi ajooba"Anjali corrected him instantly.

"Haan wahi ajooba,tumne mujhe aaj apni SUV drive karne ko di,mujhe abhi bhi yaad hai when I came before tum mujhe apni car ko touch bhi nahi karne dete the".(Yes,that only miracle,Nannav you gave me your SUV willingly to drive,I still remember you never even let me touch it when I came before).Nk spoke directly to him.

"Haan chottey,is baat se hum bhi hairaan hai,tum Aakash ko bhi kabhi apni car nahi drive karne dete the,phir aaj kaise".(Yes,Chottey,even I am amused how come you did this when you don't even used to give it to Aakash).Anjali asked him not wanting to leave the golden opportunity of teasing her brother.

Khushi sat quiet waiting for him to give an answer to the questions were making him uneasy,she expected an one line answer but it looks like,it was a day of surprises for Mrs Arnav Singh Raizada as she heard him say to his siblings.

"Di,I know I never let anyone drive my car and nothing has changed it in that so there is no such thing of being so shocked,the only reason I let Nk drive the car was because I have missed Aashi too much over the last few days and thus I wanted to be with her and So Nk concenterate on the road ahead and drive carefully,not too fast because Khushi is scared of speeding cars and handle brakes affectively as Aashi should not get any high movement".

Nk nodded and passed a salute from the rearview mirror while the eyes of both the women teared up at his honest confession,to see him speak from his heart without any inhibitions,him always being in the charge never leaving out on anything for his loved ones was what made him unique in all ways and who better to understand this than his sister who has seen him grown up to the man he was or Khushi who understood him in the way noone will ever do.

Anjali turned sideways and keeping a hand on his said"Mama,tumhe dekhke bahut khush hongi chottey".(Mama would be very happy seeing you Chottey).

The one sentence seemed to say what even long speeches wouldn't do,he hoped too that his mother would be proud of the way he has turned out as and be the best he could being a brother,a husband and now a father.Khushi knowing very well snuggled closer to him,hugging him sideways as they moved forward to their home.

By the time they reached Aashi has fallen asleep,so everyone quietly moved forward lest she woke up,they enterted their home to find Nani and Mamiji waiting for them but to their utter amazement find Khushi's parents sitting there,but not at all expecting the other person who has accompanied them.Khushi eyes found Buaji sitting there and she stiffened,her stance going rigid at once.

Naniji noticed and as she announced"Are aagaye aaplog".(You guys came).Everyone turned their attention towards them and stood up at their respective places.Khushi looked downwards and after moments of silence as she heard Buaji say.

"Hum kuch kehna chahte the".(I wanted to say something).

Buaji's earlier words rang through her ears,she has compared Aashi to something low and that was enough to put her into defensive mode,she immediately turned towards Arnav who was holding Aashi and tried to pull Aashiin her arms,but she was sound asleep and her hold was too tight on Arnav.everyone noticed her action but noone said anything knowing how hurt she has been and somewhere also aware of the fact that she wont listen even if they try to intervene.Arnav saw her trying hard and asked in a controlled voice.

"Khushi kya karne ki koshish kar raho ho tum,Aashi so rahi hai".(Khushi what are you trying to do,Aashi is sleeping).

"Haan Arnavji,isliye hum use upar apne kamre mein leke jaa rahe hai".(I know Arnavji and that is the reason I am taking her upstairs to our room).Khushi answered in a straight voice.

Arnav knew what she was trying to do,but he passed a look at Buaji's face,he has not forgotten the way she has spoke to him about Aashi,his blood has boiled at how she has sounded when she spoke of her,it was only his respect for her that has forbade him for speaking something harendous and then to add to it he has come aware of the fact that she has hurled the same accusations at Khushi also,it has hurted him to know she has bared all that all alone but when he was there noone could even think of saying a word against his family let alone hurt them and therefore with a firmity in his voice he told Khushi.

"Khushi,hum kahin nahi jaa rahe hai,Buaji kuch kehna chahti hai aur hum sunenge,Aashi will be here only with us,Om prakash Aashi ka spare pram yahan le aao".(Khushi,we are not going anywhere,Buaji want to say something and we will listen to what she has to say,Aashi is going to be here only with us,Om prakash get Aashi's spare pram here).He ended and Khushi relented,she knew what this tone meant and thus trusting him just nodded her head in approval.

Everyone sat in living room,as Arnav settled Aashi in the pram securedly and then taking Khushi's hand made her sit close to the corner near the pram as to keep an eye on Aashi simultaneously,Prompting Buaji to say he ushered.

"Kahiye,Buaji kya kehna chahti hai aap".(Tell us Buaji,what you wanted to say).

Buaji hesitated for a moment but seeing all eyes set on her started speaking

"Sankadevi,hum jaante hai humne tumhe bahut baar yeh ehsaas dilaya ki tum hamari apni nahi ho,sach bataye toshuru mein hum tumhare ghar mein aane ke sakt khilaaf the,humne Shashi aur Garima ko bahut samajhane ki koshish ki par unhone hamari baat nahi maani,waqt beeta aur samay ke saath tum sabki laadli ban gayi,Shashi,Garima aur Payaliya bhi sab tumhe pyaar karte the,tum Shashi babua ke zyaada kareeb thi,aur aisa nahi hai ki hum tumse pyaar nahi karte the,lekin haan Payaliya ke prati zyaada bhavuk the,us din bhi humne jo bhi kuch kaha who shayad hamari apni soch ki wajah se,par itne din lucknow mein akele rehne par humein yeh ehsaas hua ki hum kitne galat the,rishte khoon se nahi bhavanoin se bante hai,pyaar se bante hai,aaj Arnav bitwa ne jo kiya usse yeh sabit ho gaya ki jo rishte dil se bandhte hai who sabse upar hote hai,isliye aaj hum tumse maafi maangte hai,jab bhi jo bhi kaha uskeliye aur Arnav bitwa aapse bhi Aashi aap dono ki beti hai aur yehi sach hai"

(I know I have many times made you realise that you are not our own,to tell you the truth I was never in favour of you coming in our home.I tried explaining this to Shashi and Garima too but they didn't listened to ,time went and you became fonded by all of them,you were close to Shashi inspite of you not being his own daughter.Its not that I didn't loved you but yes I was always more sensitive to Payal,that day whatever I said may be because of my prude thinking.But now after staying so many days in Lucknow I realised that how wrong I was,relations are not only bonded by blood they are bonded by emotions and what Arnav did today it proved the fact thatthey are some relations way above everything else those that are formed by heart and unadulerated love.Today,I want to apologise to you for every hurtful word I ever said to you and Arnav I am really sorry too,Aashi is yours and Khushi's daughter and noone can change that).

As Buaji finished,everyonehad turnful towards the end,everyone heart going towards the young girl who has been orphaned and had been reminded repatedly that of the fact that she was not belonged.anrav gave Khushi hand a little squeeze whose hold on his hand has gotten incessantly strong while listening to Buaji.A sense of understanding flowed between the two and they moved ahead to stand in front of Buaji but before either of them could speak,Shashiji said

"Khushi,tum aaj humein aur Garima ko bhi maaf kardo,kyunki jiji ne jab bhi tumse yeh sab kaha,hum aur Garima dono ne kabhi unko nahi roka,us din jab Arnav bitwa aur tum Aashi ke liye bole to humein bhi ehsaas hua ki hum kitne galat the".(Khushi,today you forgive me and Garima also,because she might have spoken all those to you but then me and Garima never stopped her.That day when you and Arnav stood your ground for Aashi I realised how wrong we have been).

Arnav kept a firm hold on Khushi all along,he has never thought tht the day would turn out like this,he hadnt forgotten anything but he also knew that all this would help Khushi to finally let go of that nagging feeling behind.

It was not easy to forget the words that has been hurled on their daughter still Buaji words gave a little respite to her ,earlier when Buaji used to taunt her she used to feel anguished ,even reproachful sometimes still she kept quiet all along Khushi grasped everything that Buaji told her but still she always kept quiet keeping her pain to herself but now all those seemed to be a distant memory to her.All her life she has needed a feeling of belongingness,a sense of security which has been sprinkled onto her in form of her Arnavji.her husband ,her lover,the father of her daughter who has given her so much love and has wiped away every fear which used to enclose her heart that now she didn't even remembered all that time.The beautiful memories were so cherished by her which left no room of any haunting word and thus she was very cleat in her head when she spoke.

"Babuji aur Amma aap dono ko yeh sab karne ki koi zaroraat nahi hai kyunki humne kabhi aisa socha hi nahi aur Buaji ne jab bhi jo kaha usmein kahin na kahin sacchai to thi hi".(Babuji and Amma,you both don't need to do all this because I never ever thought about it and whatever Buaji used to say there was some truth in it somewhere).Saying so she turned towards Buaji and told her too.

"Buaji,pichli baat yaad rakhke koi faayda nahi hai hum samajhte hai aur aap humse badi hai to maaf karne ka to koi sawaal hi nahi hai,lekin Aashi hamari beti hai aur yeh baat kisike bhi kehne se nahi badal sakti".(Buaji,there is no use remembering the old things,I understand and you are elder so there is no need of apologising but Aashi is our daughter and that fact cannot be changed nomatter what anyone says).Khushi finished firmly at the end.

Khushi turned to look at Arnav who passed her a reassuring glance,words said once cannot be easily forgotten but Buaji's honest talk has given them both a respite.Therefore,when Buaji made an apprehensive move to hold Aashi, Arnav himself went ahead and placed Aashi in her arms.Both Arnav and Khushi looked fondly as Buaji held her lovingly.She was really an angel as today her presence has even made Buaji realise the universality of the bond that were formed by God.
