Madhu's pov

Fast madhu !! Fast !! If u r gonna progress like this probably the cake would b ready by our next b'day!!
It has already been half an hour since i m trying to figure out how to do it even after watching it on youtube and it's already 11:30 !!
Thankgod ppl in Kundra Mansion sleep before 11.

So here goes the baking powder...stir it for a few more seconds and finally it is in the oven !! Phew !! I looked at myself...i was all covered in flour nd choco powder, my hair, my hands.

Ok so now i hv to wait for around 10 min...i indulged myself into making the icing giving the clock a look simultaneously. I din't want my surprise to be ruined by being late !!
After cooling down the cake i applied the icing. Wow !! I m proud of myself !!

Now i hv to go nd change if i dont want to scare rishab by my looks atleast on our b'day !!
I went rushing to my room and quickly got fresh and before i could choose a dress for myself i saw a gift pack on my bed with a letter..

Dear Barbie Doll
Plz wear this tonight...will be waiting for you in the back garden...
Your Moron

I couldn't wait for a second more and quickly opened the packet with a constant smile on my face and was shocked to see its contents.

It was a beautiful blue saree !! I dint even realise that my mouth was open !!
I picked it up and quickly went to change smiling all the way.

I was looking into the mirror being as fast as possible when my phone buzzed. I knew it was rishab !!

2 min barbie doll... Fast !!

Oh god !! I m not even properly ready nd moreover i hv to get the cake nd it is less than 2 min now !! I quickly pinned my saree and went down to get the cake.
I left the cake on a small table kept behind the door to the back garden and took a deep breath before opening the door.

I was bit nervous and quietly opened the door to see a table in the middle of the garden decorated in blue !!
It was so beautiful topped with such a nice weather.
I stepped inside and looked around to find rishab. He was nowhere to be seen.

I suddenly felt hands working on my dori. Oh god !! That is definitely a consequence of working extremely fast !! I had a chilling sensation as i felt his hands brush on my back after he was done with dori...he hugged me from my back and i suddenly realised my eyes had been closed !!

Happy Birthday Barbie Doll !!

His voice was so sweet !! I was lost in his voice when...shit i lost it !!
How can i forget we were on for a challenge on who wishes the other first !! I just lost it !!

"Won't u wish me now ??"
Aww his voice !! It made me forget what i was thinking. I turned around being in the hug, i could feel his hands around my bare waist...

I placed a long soft kiss on hia cheek.
"Happy Birthday Moron"

"Thanks a lot my barbie doll !!" he said with a smirk on his face. I knew the reason. He loves winning !!
He broke the hug and took my hands in his and we proceeded towards the table set for us with candles.
He made me sit and then sat in front of me.

"So barbie doll...where is it ??"
Where is...what?? The cake !! Wait !! How did he know i made a cake ??? What abt my surprise ??
"You moron !! How do u know i made a cake???" i said with a horror striken face !! This was supposed to be my surprise !! I worked so hard on it !!
"Oh wow !! You made a cake !! Where is it ?? I m starving !!"
Starving ??
"Rishab ?? What were u talking abt ??"
"the cake!!"
"no before that !!"
"Nothing barbie doll now go get the cake or else...don't forget you owe me something...you lost the challenge !!"
i threw him the rose kept on the table.
"ouch barbie doll !! It hurts !!"
Oh yeah !! His fake expressions show how much it hurts. But he looks so cute like that.

I got up trying to maintain the angry look on my face to get the cake. By the time i was back rishab was again lost !!
Oh god !! Why did u give me a boyfriend so hard to handle !!
And then he appeared out of nowhere carrying a bouquet of flowers.

He looked so handsome !! More sweet !!
He could easily outshine the image i saw for my prince charming !!

"Sorry barbie doll...i forgot to get these before.."

"Not my mistake. You looked so beautiful that i couldn't resist myself..and moreover your open dori was so tempting..."

I bet he was smirking when he said the last line but i was too busy to notice that as i was lost in blushing !!!
I took the flowers as he extended them to me...

"Now if u r done with blushing can we cut the cake ??"
I punched him lightly to get his usual fake expressions.
I walked towards the table but i guess he didn't follow. I turned around to see the most unexpected !! He was on his knees, his head bent !!
I don't have words to describe my feelings. I really don't !! Was i nervous?? Confused?? Or was i really waiting for this?? There was a moment of silence before he said something.

"Madhu !!" he raised his head.
"As you already know, there are only 3 women in front of whom a man bows his head. One, the mother who gave him birth, second, in the temple in front of mother of all, and third..."
And with that he closed his eyes and bent his head again !! I couldn't speak a word. Was i crying ??

"Madhu, you are the best gift ever god gave me and i feel blessed in your presence. I am restless whenever you are away from me. But in the last few days i have realized that you are the reason behind my smile, my peace, you are my happiness madhu, you are my barbie doll, you are my life...you are my love !!
I Love You Madhu !!"

He said the last words looking into my eyes. I was crying more than before. Even after being with him for long i somewhere felt it was early...i hadn't yet entirely discovered my feelings and understood them well. I needed time to introspect but i cannot lose him...what do i say ??
As if reading my mind he said..." I know you don't love me yet madhu, "Love" is something which is stronger if it takes long to be build up...and realized...it is not necessary for you to love me but i just wanted to convey my feelings on this really special day !! And make it our Ethereal Nineteen... I won't ever forget it"

And with that i hugged him...really tight !! I din't know if i loved him but i really love him for what he said just now. I never expected him to be so understanding.
"Trying to take advantage of the situation ha ??"
So the moron is back to his track !!
"Oh shut up !!" i said punching him in his stomach and parting from the hug.
We then cut the cake and fed each other.
" Wow madhu !! It's really yum !! So finally my culinary skills could affect you to some extent "..he said licking his fingers.
"Mr.Moron !! Don't live under such misconceptions coz it is my god gifted talent you know...i m excellent in every field !!"
"Oh really ??"...i bet something is fishy !!
But this "fishy" thing was not from his side but from the heavens !!
It has started raining !!
Oh yeah July !! The rainy season !! How can i forget most of my b'days being on a rainy day !!
While i was lost in my thoughts he pulled me towards him by my waist and we started dancing to the tune of our hearts. No one around us would have heard any music but both our hearts were playing in a synchronized manner.
We were looking straight into each other's eyes oblivious of our surroundings...I din't even realize when his lips were on mine but we were already into a kiss. A kiss in the rain felt so exotic !! It is gonna be my most memorable one. We broke apart and before anything could happen i ran away.
In the morning when i got ready and went out of my room to have dinner, rishab caught me on the staircase. We descended together and went near the table.
"Mom, dad... i and madhu have to leave early today...project work...so no breakfast...bye"

And before aunty would make us have breakfast forcefully he dragged me outside the mansion and made me sit in the car.
I was really shocked !! Why on earth did no one wish us?? No one !! Not even ranveer !!
I turned around to look at rishab in shock " Why din't anyone wish us ??"
"oh that.." he replied casually..."don't think i dint give them time to wish...but its just that they are planning a surprise for us !!"

Surprise ?? Are surprises like this ?? How does he know abt it ??...as if reading my mind as always..."Barbie doll !! They did it last year too !!"...he said with a smile looking at my confused expressions.
I rolled my eyes and we sped off !!
"Where are we going??", i asked...well...do you expect my boyfriend to allow me attend college not on my b'day but OUR Birthday !!
"I m hungry and i think u r as well. And since i dont want to start our day with an empty stomach..."

"So start your day with something else...stop the car !!"...i said turning to look at him.

He gave me a confused look but then did as a said.
We stopped in front of the temple...the same temple where we rishab took me for our first official date...
Rishab conveyed his feelings with a smile and we walked in.
All i prayed to god was to help me figure out my actual feelings for him. I was really very excited and nervous at the same time to discover my feelings...

"Thanks barbie doll"...was all he said as we sat into the car and i just responded with a smile.

"Ready for some adventure ??"...he said after around 15-20 min of drive.
I gave him a questioning look...

"Don't worry !! It's not sky diving or rafting...we will go for that later...but this us just a small trailer...even less than that..."

Ohk...how was having breakfast supposed to be an adventure. My confusion cum excitement was topped with irritation when we were standing in front of the escalator...i giving him deadly glares !!
"How can u b so irritating !! Is this what u call adventure?? Climbing the escalator ???"
"Relax barbie doll you don't have to climb this one but that one"...
He shifted my attention to the escalator coming down !!
Wow that was really interesting !! Before he could say anything i grabbed his hand and dragged him in front of the 2 escalators coming down.
I bet the people in the mall are gonna give us a variety of looks seeing us going opposite but ignoring them i looked at rishab and then at the escalators.
3...2...1...Go !!
And we started !!
Wait this shouldn't be so difficult !! Why do i feel the escalator is unusually fast ??? Because it was !!!
After around 10 min of going opposite to everyone making our own way we stood on the upper floor breathing heavily. Rishab had definitely did something to the stairs !! And my doubt was confirmed when two guards, seeing people trip on the escalator, came shouting towards us !!

"Run barbie doll !!"

And he grabbed my hand and we ran in the corridor, down the escalator (this time the proper one), into big bazaar finding different ways and exploring new pathways...as we entered max and made our way out and went to some dark place in the mall...this was maybe an abandoned showroom...i guess under repair... the guards following us were outside still looking for us...
I was about to sneeze when rishab covered my mouth and nose with his hand...there was a peculiar smell on his hand which definitely helped me control myself...maybe he got that from somewhere in this dark place...
After the guards went we quietly made our way out...getting mixed up in the crowd and exiting from the back door...
"What on earth do u think you were doing ???"
I said as angrily as possible b/w my heavy breaths...we had been running for what seemed as eternity !!
"Sorry bar..."
"Sorry what ??? From where do you get these stupid ideas which.."
"Stupid ?? But you showed more interest than me...!!"
Ah...ohk...
"Forget it !! I m starving !!"
"let's go to our favourite restaurant"
He grabbed my hand and turned around..don't know what struck me...i stopped him and made him face me..
"After the fiasco you created you'll have to have food of my choice !!"

Rishab's pov

Your choice...ohk...our choices are similar to some extent so it shouldn't be a problem...really !! Are we gonna have a candy ???
"Oh c'mon moron it's not that bad!!"
She dragged me telling about her childhood stories of how she used to stop crying when her dad got it for her...and i really enjoyed her stories and admired her...but a candy?? I mentally cursed the vendor to be present there !! Is this a place to sell the pink cotton ball !!
But it was not as hard as i thought...madhu's cute expressions made it taste like the sweetest dessert !!
Following that we had pani puri...moong dal ke pakode and some knew toffee which tasted much like the Bertie Bott's Every- flavour beans from harry potter...well i have never tasted that of course..but..u know...imagination works...

After we spent time on the beach...behaving like kids making castles of sand and playing with water...and collecting shells too 😆...we started for home not willing to give an end to this beautiful day !!

Madhu's pov

As we enter the parking...all lights of the mansion will be switched off. When we enter we ll have to say something to make them alert and then the we will hear the birthday song with the switching on of the lights !!

It was exactly as rishab had explained !!

We celebrated with family and went to our rooms together...he dropped me in front of my room and turned around to leave...as he walked i thought something was amiss...
He forgot to ask for something...he won't ask now i knew...i ran behind him, pushed him into the room and kissed him passionately as if thanking him for the most beautiful and exciting birthday ever...the ethereal nineteen of both of us and thanking him...for... for everything...
It was then i guess i started to decipher the most awaited feeling but it was a long way to go...
