Hi Indi! Yeah, Soni and I had this same discussion on thread #14! She's the first person to call me di on this forum or anywhere else for that matter! Too cute I say!! 😃

Lights out, 10 seconds before midnight, jalebi in hand, she anxiously yells for her sister to wake up and come celebrate the New Year with her.

He sees his phone he makes a quick run for it.

She takes a bite of her jalebi, lights go on and she turns to face her Didi and sees Arnav instead.

Two couples have come face to face on New Year's Eve at midnight. It is said that that is the person who will be your life partner. One couple is happy to see each other but the other thinks they have been cursed…
But have they?
She is so beside herself more so then him. She is yelling at him for coming before her and his answer to her is "Excuse me?"
Kushi is reminding him of his words to her that she will be the one who will show up in front of him but she says it is not so. Look who has come in front of whom! You just have to look at his eyes to see she has hurt him a little he looks a little bothered to me. But of course he will suppress whatever it is he does feel. She asks him how did he come in? She looks at her open window and asks him did he come through her window? He grabs her, puts her hand over her mouth and pushes her up against a wall. "Shut up! Shut up, KKG!" He tells her. SHhh, someone may hear. God forbid they are found in this compromising situation with Payal outside the house as well! She stops struggling when she realizes that Payal is not in her bed.
Akash has brought Payal sweets from Lucknow. He holds her hand and says, to her not to think that she is separating from her family. They will both be part of each other's family. They are not losing anyone they are gaining each other. Nothing is more important than Payal's happiness and she tells him that he is her happiness. Wonderful!
Kushi says that this is called love and how nice akash has done this for her sister. She can't believe that he is his brother.
Excuse me again, what? She means he believes in love, ASR says it is stupid and nonsense. He says he told Akash as such. Kushi turns to him and says but why are you like this so bitter? As she says these words to him he swallows hard, I think knowing that deep down he has some feelings for this crazy girl he didn't want before him on this night, but he will not give in. he walks over to her with a harden edge, and says to her that the entire world is crazy to believe in such things. Wishing does not bring you anything. I am also sure that when he was 14 and wished with all his might to have his mother return and that couldn't happen is when he lost all faith. When his uncle threw him out of the house with absolutely nothing but the clothes on his back, he lost all faith. No he will never give in to any of these crazy emotions. The world will never beautify with artificial flowers. The world is stone hearted and merciless and always has been he proclaims! He tells her she will never understand this because she doesn't have a…..brain, dimaag, to understand. The perfect O forms at her mouth. How dare he? She goes to reprimand him when a knock on the door occurs.
At the door is NK with an armful of roses.
Kushi is going to open the door with Arnav following when she sees Buaji has gotten up. She pushes him back in the bedroom. What the? She covers his mouth. Shhh, Buaji is up!
Buaji asnwers the door and NK is standing there.
Surprise NK!

Buaji says she wanted to see NandiKishore and there is NK standing before her. NK sees her and imagines himself and Buaji in wedding attire. Silly boy! Buaji asks why he has come and asks him in.
Kushi AKA Sanaya was absolutely brilliant in her comedic role. One of the Blasters had mentioned that she reminded her of Lucille Ball while Arnav resembled Desi Arnez. I have to agree 100%. She is perfect with her comedic timing and incessant rambling and antics. Holding her ears and bobbing up and down to beg him not to yell, hysterical! Or how she holds her fingers up in front of her lips shhhushing him until he agrees. So very cute.
Garima has now awoken. What's going on? Is anything wrong? Nk says no he has just come to wish Happy New Year. He asks for Kushi. Buaji calls for Kushi she says NK has come. ASR says "what?!" with a look of disbelief. She slips out the door sideways not letting the door open all the way so ASR is not seen.
They all are asking when she came back and where is Payal? Kushi says she is not here, um , no she is sleeping. So funny!!! Again her comedic role is fantastic. NK says hi and happy new year and Kushi says Happy New Year backin a round about way. Again cute hysterical. Where is Payal? She's not here, no again Payal is sleeping. Buaji goes to her room, Kushi rushes ahead and closes the door. Buaji asks inside and Kushi says LG, no Arnavji, no Payal is sleeping! She just can't lie!!! NK asks her if Nanav is inside? Nahi! Nooo! she says. No one is in there. Garima says Payal. Kushi says Payal is sleeping!!! She holds her ears and starts doing her squats again and they think she is going crazy so late at night. NK saysto her, stop and that she just said that Nanav was inside. She says why does he call him that trying to distract him from the subject. He starts to tell the story and she says amazing.
Arnav is pacing back and forth wondering why NK is there and how has he overcome his jet lag so fast. He opens the door slightly to see Kushi shaking his hand Happy New Year. He goes to hand her roses and Buaji takes them out of his hands. Garima is just shaking her head. Kushi says bye and is pushing him out the door and then she pushes Buaji to go to bed too.
She runs into her room and shuts the door. She is pacing back and forth while being barraged by a myriad of questions by Arnav. "What the? Why was NK here? Why did he give you flowers?" Jealous? I think so. He asks her what is the matter and if she is okay. She says how can she be since she has seen him at midnight. She says she sent Buaji to bed so he should leave, PLEASE! He asks her what was he doing or wasn't he trying to do just that? Buaji calls Kushi who is now freaking out even more. He says he is going out there and she says in front of her aunt she will kill them! She tells him to lie on the bed and he asks her if she has lost it. Se says if aunt comes in she will find out her sister is not here and make a big to do. As she says to do she waves her arms and he goes flying on to her bed. She tells DM wants the same as he is lying on the bed. She helps place his feet on the bed and covers him.
Buaji wants to know what took her so long as she tries to enter the bedroom. Kushi is standing there blocking her way. That is definitely not happening when Buaji is concerned. She pushes her aside and calls Payal. Kushi runs and says she is sleeping. Buaji says so why are you awake, go to bed. Kushi tries to deny that she is sleepy and Buaji insists. This is another fun part of the episode when Kushi slips into bed beside Arnav. (where she belongs!)
Tentative, daring not to touch her "sister", she slowly enters the bed.
Buaji covers her and tells her move over!
Nahi!!!
Not in bed with him!

Indi ji, a voluptuous take, i say! The episode, it is light, funny, frothy mazza but the real stuff - the stuff that's secretly going on in the mind and heart of the one with the gussa - that, has found body in your words. His feelings, his truest yearnings, he keeps them so "under cover" (in this case of course both literally and figuratively!) that it's hard to tell sometimes where he is headed the next moment and why! You have beautifully and subtly uncovered it here! It's so hard to keep up the walls when there's so much going on inside! And yet, the things we do to keep everything under cover: no one should know how vulnerable i really am...isliye better to say koi faraq nahin padta...
Sanka Devi, "exotic titaliya" in your words 😊... that ultra cautious slide to the bed and then hanging on to its very endmost edge for life was sensational work. My favorite line it leads to, from Buaji, " Payaliya ke saath chipakkk ke so jao" 😆😆 Ya buaji, that's what she really needs to hear right now 😆😆 Between Sanka and Bua, they can beat bollywood hollow...the family is covered for life😆😆 Too awesome!!!
And we're back to our man's operation under cover: The Raizada does ramanchi with his feelings and initiates a finger- pointing match with the Sanka. No complaints though...Fabulous interplay between them there... You write so very astutely about their back and forth...my most fave bit in your take:
8 and 14... every now and then how they seamlessly move to being kids around each other. playmates. smarty pants boy and irritating girl with a plat which he is dying to pull. she seems to release the child in him, the one he shut away in the aftermath of tragedy, growing up overnight, becoming the "man" of the house. yet, her irrepressible child seems to touch something in him, make him drop his guard. he brings out the woman in her, she the child in him... a many faceted relationship... this must be love.⭐️
Special mention for an outstanding cameo: Shri NK's PYJAMAS 😆 And i also loved your line about ASR on the Khushi-NK bond :
asr was a sharp one, he could sense the innocence that resided in the heart of both these creatures and in that they were identical. ⭐️
And MUST share cos it bothers each time in an otherwise impeccable gorgeous UP style writing: Payaliya's attempt at filmy line "Inteqaam ki aag agar sulag jaye na..." is probably not what she's trying to say... Unless she's being the real "jyotishi with the bhavishyavaani" here 😆 Cos Aag, it sulgofies when passions, they are ignited 😉 "Sulag" means to light/kindle/ignite. The opposite being "Inteqaam ki aag jab bujh jaye/thandi ho jaye". Ok i've said it, thank you for bearing...😳😳
Moving on to what triggered the filminess above, in your words: only fam members know how hard it is to live with a filmi butterfly. drama queen is eating jalebi planning decimation of rakshas. "iss phate gote ki kassam..." i mean, khushi... really. 😆😆
I loved the way she went for the jalebi there😆 and "planning decimation of rakshas" sounds like a riot😆😆

La's departure..
"Khuch rishte meant to be nahin hote 'usmein kissi ki koi ghalati nahin hoti" [some relations are not meant to be and its no one's fault] La's words are ringing bell in my head as this is a true reality.It's not only true for La but also for Anjali indirectly.
In GH Family was discussing the shame which Shyam is prevailing around everyone without realizing his mistakes and how Anjali has no clue about his evil deeds.Love Buaji as she is true to her character as always.She will be a biggest obstacle for Scorpion from now on.
In RM ,Khushi tries to convince La for not going back to London yet she refused to listen to her.La thnx her for teaching the values which she was not aware of.There is no question their friendship grew over time into inseparable one.Khushi asks her the reason to fix but she does not disclose anything to her.
Khushi inquires "why did he fight for you for bringing home,why did he agrees to engage with you and then why right before engagement he refused..he did wong with you Lavanyaji.."
La disappointedly," May be'and during their convo Khushi reveals her broken engagement news as a same pinch'..which surprises La and she apologize to Khushi over this..
Khushi by keeping her chin up,"There is someone for me and you and we have to see I find my Rajkumar first or you"'.
With Khushi's words ,La's mind reverberates moments of Arnav's concern ,realization and attraction for Khushi'.which brings tears in her eyes'."mein nahin aa paoongi"[I won't be able to come']
She holds Khushi's hands and asks her a favor'
"Tumhain mera eik kamm karna hoga'ASR'.tumhain ASR ka khiyal rakhna hoga'[you have to do something for me'ASR 'You have to take care of ASR]Which puts Khushi in dilemma'. And she pulls her hands off..
La continues to make her realize,"sirf tum hi jo usse who sab keh paati ho jo who nahin sunna chahte'[you are the only one who can say things to him which he doesn't want to hear]
Kushi in bafflement and confined state'.yet listening'"ASR ko kya chaiye yeh unhain khud hi nahin pata'par tum tou samjhdar ho na Khushi[ ASR does no know what does he want..but you are wiser']
Disconcerted Khushi'."jee"[what]
La holds her softly,"aaj nahin tou kal yum samajh jaogi ..chahe ASR samjhe ya na samjhe[you will understand either today or tomorrow whether ASR gets it or not]
Pause here:La's words did come true 'there is no doubt Arnav fell in love first but realization seeped deeply in Khushi first and she was the first one who put this Fadak aside to accept it at the airport'"kyuonke baat aapki hai '" Arnav was still in dilemma'
They both hug for their friendship for forever pinch'
La is setting a divine relation in between these two as her words later came true for both of them.
Other parallel scene as drilling questions are being asked to Arnav and he can't give any straight answer because of his confused state which La just described.He doesn't know himself either what is happening to him and What does he want?'it's the realization that he can't commit to La and definitely because of Khushi but he is not sure as he said"jis rishte ke bar mein khud hi sure nahin hoon '."[ The relation about which I am not sure ']
Anjali is refusing to accept that and Arnav rages out when she presses the issue,"bata daita agar'."[ I would tell you if.]
Ans turns around as always when he does not want to show his vulnerability and has no straight answer'."mujhe force mat karo Di'"[Don't force me Di]
Nani is drilling him the same way as Khushi was doing in front of La and she is right about one thing "iske peeche bohat badi wajhe hogi'"[There must be a big reason behind all of this]
She wants answers and he just have flaring nostrils as he is baffling about his feelings and had no solid answer here.
Mamaji and Akash tries too but in vain.
Anjali asks Shyam 's help who couple of minutes ago gulped down the bitter truth'when she said"youn itni asani se rishte tod daite hain kya"[ it's so easy to break the relation like that"''.]
He just jumps up from his own stance as someone caught him on a wrong foot'.hunnn'.."Salesahib ki apni zindagi hai ..aur unhain yahi theek lagta hai tou"[It's his life if he thinks this is right for him]
Everyone gets shocked with their favorite Damadji's answer'No one knows he is saying for himself'..Jerk😡...but one thing is my grabber, he is saying it right it's his life to make decisions for himself...
Arnav's convulsion mixed with rage is so visible.Jijaji's words are helpful here to sooth him though with courage.He turns around trying clearing his point of view ,"La did so much for this family and that's why it wasn't fair to lie to her'.so I told her the truth.."
Anjali requests Arnav for making an effort with La and Naniji forces him to accept his mistakes but La intervenes'.."there is no need for that Naniji'I love that scene'she comes with Lakhmiji '.."This is our mutual decision so don't just blame him "'Arnav's concerns and embarrassment is very much visible but Khushi is not satisfied with that'..but I couldn't figure out the reason of annoyance of Shyam here '.What the heck is his problem?...Anjali tires to ask her the reason but La answers with hurtful voice,"Kuch Rishte meant to be nahin hote.kissi ki koi ghalati nahin hoti 'bas who ho nahin pate'[ some relationships are not meant to be..it's no one's fault '.these just don't happen]
Love the way Arnav looks at Khushi ''His eyes are reflecting so many feelings here for her'.His decision is painful yet shows his will power and honesty at every step.
He really does have a lot of respect for La mixed with concerns''.while Khushi's tears have no limits which are another concern for Arnav's look'
La says good bye to family and stops at Anjali,"Plz Di trust me and don't blame ASR'" and that makes Arnav to lower his eyes as he can't take this any more'.
But He jerks up by her next statement,"woh shaadi karainge unhain jab lage ga keh unhain kar laini chahiye"[HE will marry when he will feel like it]..That makes him think what did she say just now'.and how is so sure'She knows you more than you know yourself ASR'
Her cab comes and She bids good bye with heavy heart'..
Pondering connected Dots:Arnav brought her against his family and today she does not want him besides her yet whole family is in her favor'..
He comes out and apologizes to her one more time sincerely.But La's words here have deep impact for the future'
"But agar tumhari life mein khabi pyar aajae tou hold on to it ASR 'kyuonke pyar nafrat se bohat bada hote hai'sab se bada hota hai'.make sure keh tum usey apni life se khabi jane naa do"
Translation:But if you find love in your life ,then hold on to it'because Love is greater than hate..make sure you never let it go out of your life'
Love her dialogues are following Khushi ''as these are trade mark of IPK for future.
Pause here: "Make sure tum khabi usey apni zindagi se jane na doo" Arnav from now on will never let Khushi out of his life'.from forced marriage till the very end''he keeps her always besides him ..love or hate ..whatever''.even when Khushi leaves him he brought her back either hook or by crook
Above all La's words play really big time during revelation of Garima on his wedding day'along with all the flash backs her words play big role including her mom's " agar tumhari zindagi mein pyar aajaye tou hold on to it ..kyuonke pyar nafrat se bada hota hai" played that day'..
Music changes with their exchange of looks..as new day is waiting for him'..
In GH Payal tells Khushi her concerns for her about Shyam while she was in RM'Khushi intervenes with annoyance ,"I don't want to talk about him ,he is the person of the family where you are going to be married'.That's why I want to forget that I had ever any relation with him 'for me he is just Anjali's husband"
Payal diverts her attention to La but her words here have really deep meaning'..
"Rishton ki dor bohat nazuk hoti hai..do logon keh beech kya huwa ,kyuon huwa ..koi nahin bata sakta
{Relationships stand on a thin line .what ever happens in between two people ,no one tell..}
Payal agrees with Khushi about La's goodness.The moment Payal takes Arnav's name..Khushi jumps at pickes her words.."Rakshus'..uss Rakshus ko to aisi ladki milni chahiye jo unko seedha kar de..unki ache se khabar lai'wohi sunnai jo who sunna nahin chahte'.unhain itna bhi nahin pata kiss sai kaise baat karni chahiye"[Rakshus'he should get a girl who corrects him ..tells him what he does not want to hear''.he does not know how to talk to anyone.].Payal hits her to stop and Khushi just plays along with her Jiji'
Pause here : Unintentionally Khushi is describing herself with inner happiness and Haq...as La said the same to stamp on her feelings for her LG as her smile is expressing her inner feelings with different angle.
In RM Arnav calls La to make sure she landed safely and then after her answer tells her in stern voice,"take care Lavanya"'
Closes his eyes for a while and when open ''..Life maintenance manual..I mean car maintenance manual [with chamkile cover] catches his eyes'.as his Khushi is waiting for him like a shining and a direction star who canto direct the way of love and happiness besides the odds.He reads her letter and can't read the manual as he has no idea what to do and how to direct his way towards this path of thorns yet Khushi is the one who changed the tire so she is the one who will bring approximately this whole 360 degree change[round tre=360 degrees] in him.Each word of her letter has a deep meaning'..
"ye pustaak, humari taraf se eik bhent hai, taakeh jeevan mei apko gadhi ka paiyah badalne mein takleef na ho, Khushi Kumai Gupta."
Translation: this book is a gift from me so you will not face any difficulty to change the tire of your car, Khushi Kumari Gupta
Anjali comes and agrees with his decision which brings a soothing satisfaction in him as always his Di knows the best yet he is not ready for another lecture of "sansain ruk jana " but he is a heading towards it with new "neuta" [wedding card].hmmm ..interesting he is taking the card himself to Khushi as this is future indication of their union though this is the first step'.Anjali's comparison to his Scorpion was a bit too much to digest at this point as the huge commitment by her towards him is unbearable to watch'..
Pondering connected Dots: He is going to say and admit this to his DI that without Khushi it seems to him he can't breath
Other side Khushi is busy with her Jiji in playful mood.The whole towel scene is hilarious yet meaningful.Arnav gives her the towel because he thinks she really needs it yet she screams as he saw her without clothes'..but point is she is without Dupatta''.
Symbolism and connection: The Dupatta has its significance since from the beginning .She has towel on and thinks herself exposed meaning her respect is about to be at stake which she will cover temporarily by keeping her mouth shut yet it is visible and hard to hide ,it means she will be stigmatized ''.as she is going to be under attack during forced marriage from all across.
Arnav is asking her to stop because she has clothes on and later telling her to change towel with Dupatta''He is providing her shade of respect as he will be defending her all the time during forced marriage no matter what ,regardless in his extreme hate.They both will cover each other during that time as they always do.
Evil is settling his games with new angles by using the weakness of Anjali''as she is a bait here as always.Lets see how far he can go this time'..White shirt is banned...hmmm..White symbolizes purity and he is declaring he is impure...👏
