I was really confused about what Rishabh said. He had asked me to break up with Alisha and that too for no reason. Well maybe he had his own reasons for telling me that. He had also told me that he knew something and that he is keeping that as a secret away from me.
I was in my bed thinking of what to say to Alisha and how to break up. I've heard that break ups were hard but I didn't know how much painful it was since Alisha was or still is my first ever girlfriend.
I once in an interview told that I'm not the playboy type and don't sleep around and guess what, that was news for a week. I still don't what what will happen in anyone comes to know that I've never slept with a woman, well not in that sense. I think that nobody needs to know about that.
I don't remember when I fell asleep. I even couldn't recollect what was the last thing on my mind before sleep conquered me. I always needed help waking up in the morning, be it my alarm or anyone coming to wake me up personally.
I would love it if Khushi would wake me up every morning. But I know that is not possible since I always have a tight schedule.
It was my darling sister Niveda who woke me up this morning. She came in with my morning coffee and also a glass of water which she used to sprinkle on my face to wake me up. I loved this technique of hers to wake me up. But I would never admit that to her whatever happens. She need not know that right?
"Nivi I won't spare you for this" I said as I sat up on my bed.
"Oh come on bro , we both know that you like this method of mine"
"Oh really?" I asked her with sarcasm evident on my question.
"Yeah Really" she said in the same tone and I did what I was expert in doing when I'm unable to find a suitable reply for her statements. I tickled her. I had it in my mind that she was pregnant and so I was extra cautious . Liam came into the room a while later and he joined me.
After a good few minutes of tickling each other finally we stopped. My brother in law was the one to begin the conversation. I must say I love his accent.
"ASR are you coming with us today? We are gonna meet your dad"
"You serious?" I was back to being sarcastic.
"Liam drop it, he wont be coming and I agree with him completely on his decision. As for me I think my dad deserves to know that we will be having a baby soon" Niveda had responded before I could say anything. I'm thankful to her for interfering else I would have blasted at Liam.
"Sorry bro, I shouldn't have asked" Liam told me after she had finished.
"Its fine, actually I was thinking of something else" I said changing the topic.
"And what is that bro?" Niveda asked me with curiosity.
"Liam how do we break up?" I asked him ignoring the previous question pointed at me.
"What?" The husband and wife pair asked me together.
"Rishabh asked me to break up with Alisha"
"What? And you are going to break up because he asked you to do so?"
"Finally at least he has some brains to tell you something right"
Well the above two were the responses I got , the former from Liam and the latter one from my lovely sister.
Then they looked at each other for a while
"Nivi, you are also against him dating?"
"Liam, cant you see? She is not the right girl for him and he is not at all happy with her"
"What is her problem? I cant find any fault in her, well I'm saying this from the little information your brother gave me"
"I'm also saying this from the same piece of information. I too haven't met her personally yet, remember us dating, anyone could say from the way we talked about each other that we were in love. I didn't feel anything like that when he talked about her. Also I did not say that she is bad. Its just that she is way too dumb. My brother can find a much better girl. Look at him, he is handsome, hardworking and famous. My sister in law should be smart, not dumb. Someone like Khushi would be perfect for him."
My eyes lighted up at the mention of the name Khushi.
"Stop it now you two" Even though I said that I completely agreed with her last few statements.
"I don't want you guys fighting over what is right for me. And Liam I'm breaking up with Alisha. I was never interested in her to begin with. I started dating her for selfish reasons. I wanted to put a full stop to the rumours that I'm gay"
"Are you?" Liam asked after a long pause.
The glare that Niveda sent him was enough I guess for him to shut up. Still I wanted to tell him myself.
"No Liam I'm straight"
"Just asking bro"
"Now tell me why did Rishabh want you to break up with Alisha?"
"I don't know"
"What?"
"I seriously don't know. Nivi he said that there is a surprise awaiting me. To know that I must first break up."
"And is that in anyway connected to Khushi?"
"I guess so." I said not knowing whether I'm right or not. I hoped I was right.
There was complete silence for a while then I changed the topic.
"So Nivi what are the plans for the day?"
"Just shopping. And you?"
"Me? I'll be off to practice around ten. We have a week's practice here, then I'lll be off to Delhi soon"
"Bro, I asked the day's plan, not the whole month's"
"Yeah thats it. Well I'm off. See you guys tonight, after your dinner"
"Wait, we will have breakfast together before you leave."
Nivi and Liam left the room soon and I took a quick shower before getting ready to go to practice. I had my bag ready with all the necessary items.
I went down and had breakfast with the couple. The way they were around each other made me jealous. They were so in love and anyone could understand that easily.
"Bro are you still there?"
Liam brought me back from my thoughts.
"Yeah I'm done though." I said getting up
"I'll see you at night?" I asked them
"Yeah" Nivi assured me.
"bye, take care" I said hugging her
I checked my phone and there was a message from Rishabh. No missed calls or messages from Alisha? Interesting!
