Chapter - 4

In Australia

Rohan was shocked to hear that Madhu wants to go to India. He want to talk to Madhu because he doesnt want her to go to India. He was about to say something just then someone called them from behind. They both moved and saw Jas is standing there. Jas came forward and saw tears in Madhu's eyes.

Jas asked "Madhu! What happen? Why are you crying? Is everything okay?"

Madhu "No! Nothing Jas. I am fine."

Jas was not satisfied " Are you sure?"

Madhu smiles weakly and said "Yup am sure."

Madhu then said "Roh, I want to go back to home."

Jas "What about our next class?"

Rohan looks at Madhu and said " No Jasmine, She is having headache. So i guess she should go and take rest. I'll drop you to University and then i'll take Mads home."

Jas smiles "Okay!"

They left from the Hotel. Madhu was quite during the whole ride. Rohan dropped Jas at University. Madhu forced a smile on her face and waved her hand to Jas. They both reached at Madhu's apartment. Rohan parked the car. Madhu was lost in her thoughts. Rohan open the door for her to step out of the car and asked her "Mads, come we are at home." He put his hand on her shoulder. She jerked and came out of the car. They moved into the house.

Living room

Rohan "Mads."

Madhu "Rohan, my decision is final."

Rohan "But Madhu still think over it. You very well know that this is not a good idea."

Madhu "Rohan you are saying this? You know everything."

Rohan "Mads, I know everything thats why i am saying this. I have seen you emotionally broken."

Madhu " Please Rohan."

Rohan "No Madhu. You need to listen because you are taking decision in a rush. Think about past."

Madhu "There is nothing in my past to think about."

Rohan "There are things. If you dont remember let me remind you everything. Your Father Mr.Malik came to Australia for some business deal and he fell in love with your Mother. They started seeing each other. Your Mother was so in love with him that she believed every single lie of him. Your father did false promise of marriage to your mother and spent countless nights with your Mother during his so called business trip."

Madhu was crying by now. Her eyes were full of tears and tears were flowing down her cheek. When she heard the last line what Rohan said she spoke loudly "And i am the result of one of the fateful night." She fell on her knees and started crying loudly.

Rohan came to her and sat besides her "Mads, I.. I... am sorry.. I dint mean..."

Madhu "Rohan you have said nothing wrong. This is truth."

Rohan felt embarrassed because he dint want to hurt Madhu. He cant see tears in Madhu's eyes. He just wanted to make Madhu realize that her decision is wrong but in the process of telling her the truth. He thought he hurt her. He stands up and was about to leave. But Madhu grabbed his hand,stands up and hugged him tightly."Dont go Rohan. I need you."

Rohan was not sure weather to hug her back or not but after hearing the three words "I need you". He hugged her back tightly. He was hugging her as tightly as possible. They were so close that even air cant pass between them. Madhu felt safe in her arms. Madhu was standing still in his arms. She dint move neither he. Madhu felt secure in his arms.They both were standing in each other arms for minutes which felt like eternity. They pulled themselves apart after hearing Madhu's phone buzzing.She grabbed her phone. Jas name was flashing on her screen. She picked the call. "Hey Jas."

Jas "Madhu, Hows you now? "

Madhu "I am better now."

Jas "Glad to hear that. I was actually worried for you."

Madhu "Dont be. I am fine now."

Jas 'Ok. Then see ya tomorrow. Bye. Take Care."

Madhu "Bye you too."

Call disconnected

Madhu searched around but Rohan was nowhere. She called his name. "Rohan, Rohan. Where are you?"

She heard some voices coming from opposite direction. She moved towards to see that the voices are coming from the kitchen. She entered in kitchen and saw Rohan making coffee. She smiled and thought 'I am nothing without you Rohan. You are my support system. I dont know how will i survive in India without you.'

She was lost in her thoughts. He came towards her and waved his hand in front of her.

Rohan "Mads, back to earth. I know am hot and dashing but you are staring at me like a pervert."

Madhu smiles "Loser. This is cheating. That was my line."

Rohan grinned "Now this is my line" and winked at her.

She just smiled.

They went to the garden outside Madhu's apartment and was sipping their coffee. Rohan started "Mads, I know whatever i said before were hurtful words. I dint want to hurt you. I never meant to."

Madhu "Roh,Its ok. I know you dint want to hurt me."

Rohan "So will you give me one more chance to talk? Because my point is not yet proved."

Madhu "Ok. Go ahead."

Rohan "See we very well know that Mr.Malik ditched your mother. He promised for wedding. But after his business trip, he went back to India. Then."

Madhu cut him off and started "Then my Mother came to know that she is pregnant. She wanted to tell this news to my father. She called him and informed about this. He promised my Mom that he'll b back soon and then they'll get marry. She waited for him. But there was no sign of his arrival. After five years, she saw news and came to know that he already have a family in India and now he is the top most business tycoon in India.She felt betrayed. She gave birth to me by going against her family. She believed him with all her heart. But she got nothing in return. Only humiliation and loneliness. She was all alone. He tored her soul apart. She felt the most unwanted person on this earth. She couldnt believed that he ditched her. And then she.. she.. k.k.k.. killed herself."

A silent tear escaped from Madhu's eyes. She felt Rohan's hand on her shoulder. She smiled weakly and tried to ensure him that she is fine.

Madhu started again "And when my Masi broke this news to my Father. He felt guilty and to come out of his guilt. He made deal with my Masi that he'll pay her huge amount every month to take care of me. Masi was not wealthy, She dint have any money to take care of me. She agreed. And till now he is paying huge amount to my Masi every month. This is how i am living. "

Rohan "But Mads, there was one condition too. That you will never go to India or will never try to talk to him."

Madhu "Yes. But see now he himself wants me to be there. Isn't it a positive sign? I have never seen my father in real. Just in pictures. And finally i am going to meet him. He wants me to be there with them. May be now i'll get my father's love after 20 long years. He finally acknowledging me as his daughter. I dont have anyone whom i can say my family. Now i'll be getting one happy family."

Rohan "Mads, I hope things work the way as you are thinking because I am only one who has seen you emotionally broken and I dont wanna see you like that again."

Madhu "Things will work in my favor this time. God cant destroy my happiness always. "

Rohan "Mads, But still I dont feel its safe to go there."

Madhu "Roh, He is my father. He wont kill me or bite me." and started laughing.

Rohan "Mads, Its not funny."

Madhu "Ok. Sorry!"

Rohan "You are forgiven but on one condition."

Madhu "Condition? Whats that?"

Rohan "I'll accompany you. I'll also join you there."

Madhu "No Rohan. You wont go there with me. I dont want to make any fuss. He has invited me and only i'll go there."

Rohan " But Mads."

Madhu "No Rohan. No If's and But's."

Rohan "Okay! So when you'll back.?"

Madhu "Even i dont know."

Rohan "Mads, I'll miss you."

Madhu "You are such a loser! I am not going there permanently. And still there is time. "

Rohan "Huh! Whatever."

Madhu "You know what Roh, even I'll miss you too."

Both smiled.

Missed mr.Kundra terribly...well nice update and was emotional..so Madhu has never seen her dad and never ever felt the family bonding..hope her future is better than her past...do continue soon and do expect rishbala meet in the next one😊 ..so continue ASAP
