Chapter 7

Swayam was in his room'.. Rishi's word were continuously ringing in his mind'..

'Ab mujhe mere ek aur decision pe shak ho raha hai'.

Kahin maine Sharon ke saath tumhari shaadi fix karke galti toh nahi kar di?...

Jo insaan office ki choti responsibilities nahi sambhal sakta woh ek shaadi ki responsibility kya sambhalega?

Mujhe toh Sharon beti ke liye bura lagta hai'.'

His anger had been crossing all bounds now'. He changed into a pair of gym clothes and went to his private gym'.. The anger had taken the form of hard and furious punches'.. His fist was just covered with the crepe'. His punches got harder as he recollected his father's words'. His mobile was continuously ringing but he paid no heeds to it as he was too preoccupied'.. Sweat dripping from his hair... face'. In fact his entire body was drenched in sweat'.. his knuckles were blood red'. Another punch and blood would make its way through...The next thing that came to his mind was Sharon'.. Her thought was enough to stop him from hurting himself'. He caught hold on the boxing bag'. And was just remembering what his dad said and Sharon's images running through his mind'..

Swayam (in mind): Papa ne mere aur Sharon ke relation ko mistake kyun kahan? Kya main sach main itna irresponsible hoon ke aaj mere aur Sharon ke relation pe ungli uth rahi hai?

Lost in his thoughts he sat down resting his back against the wall'. Shweta had seen him going in to the gym'. She very well knew that Swayam will be hell disturbed due to his father's words on Swaron's relation'.. Shweta knows how much they love each other and any thought or comment involving Sharon can get the best and the worst out of Swayam'.. She saw him removing his frustration on the boxing bag but somewhere she knew this would not help him much'. She let him be, thinking that once Sharon is back, she will handle him and get him out of this state of mind'..

Here Sharon was continuously trying to call Swayam as he had not informed anyone about his arrival in Mumbai nor was he picking up the phone from the past few hours'.. Sharon was tensed'.. Something inside her heart said that Swayam was not fine'. This thought was frightening her even more'..

Rey: Hey Shar' Are you ok?... tum itni tensed kyun ho?

Sharon: Rey, woh Swayam ne Mumbai pohuchne ke baad koi call ya message nahi kiya aur abhi toh raat ho gayi hai par phir bhi woh phone nahi utha raha'. Woh theek toh hoga na!

Rey: Hey, hey, Relax! Swayam kisi office ke kaam se gaya hai na toh jaldi jaldi main tumhe phone karna reh gaya hoga'. abhi woh kaafi thak gaya hoga itna bhaag daud karke and maybe he thinks you are in the party so you must be busy'. Iss liye phone nahi kiya hoga'. So relax!

Sharon: But Rey, Swayam ne aisa kabhi nahi kiya hai'.. I'm so sure something is wrong'. Swayam aur mujhe ignore kare?!... IMPOSSIBLE!

Rey: Ok, don't worry kal hum wapas jaa rahe hai na, tabhi main seedha tumhe uske ghar chod dunga'. Now you relax and I think you should go to the room and rest!

Sharon agrees to Rey and leaves the party lost in her own thoughts'.. She was really worried about him'. But this distance had disabled her to make sure if he was ok'. Sleep was not their way tonight'. Both souls wide awake lost in their thoughts'.

Sharon (to herself): Kyun Swayam? Kyun mujhe apne aap se dur rakh rahe ho? Kya ho gaya hai tumhe? It's been 5 days that I'm back from Goa but tumne ek baar bhi mujhse baat karna nahi chaha?... Aisa kya ho gaya hai ke tum mujhe'.. Apni Sharon ko apne se dur kar rahe ho?... I know there is something troubling you'.. I can see it in your eyes'.. Jab main tumhari aankhon main dekhti hoon I can just see unanswered questioned'.. Tum kisi se bhi baat nahi karte'.. Rey tried talking to you but you didn't open up'.. What is it that's eating you from inside?... Please talk to me Swayam'.. I can't see you like this'.. Those cold looks are killing me'. Please talk to me!!!

Sharon was in her room sobbing'.. Alone'.. She was confused and moreover worried due to Swayam sudden change in behaviour'.. In these past few days things had changed a lot'.. From the day she was back Swayam had not called her or met her'.. he just spoke to her regarding work and whenever she called he would say he was busy'.. She waited for him in the mornings but then she would get a message saying that he has some important meeting or work so he left early'.. He had stopped coming for lunch as he was busy with work in the office'. It seemed like Swayam had made work his first priority'.. he had started skipping the dance classes too'.. Sharon or Rey would end up taking his classes'.. Evenings was the only time Sharon got to see him but it wasn't the same'.. He would come to the academy once he was done with his office work'. Message Sharon that he was waiting outside'. He drove her home but the ride would be either be silent or Swayam would be talking to someone over the phone regarding work'.. He had distanced himself from his friends'. Dance'. And most importantly from Her'.. She was clueless why was this happening'. Their friends had noticed this change in Swayam'.. Everyone was unknown to the reason' They all had also noticed Sharon's unshed tears'. They always tried to console her but in return she always replied saying that she was fine and she is happy that Swayam was concentrating on his work'.. But whom was she kidding'.

One day Vicky came to Sharon as soon as he returned from office'. She was in her cabin'.

Vicky: Hey Sharon!

Sharon: Hey Vicky, andar aao na! Why are you at the door?

Vicky: Sharon woh mujhe tumhe kuch batana tha!

Sharon: Haan bolo'.

Vicky: Sharon woh aaj maine office main Swayam ke assistant Sid se baat ki'. Aur usne kahan ke jis din Swayam Goa se wapas aaya uss din Rishi uncle ne Swayam ko bahut kuch bola aur'. (he was cut by Sharon)

Sharon: Hey, hey Vicky! Mujhe pata hai tum sab mere aur Swayam ke liye bahut pareshaan ho and you'll want to help solve this situation and even I want to get My old Swayam back but not like this'.. Mujhe pata hai there is something that's troubling him jiske wajahse woh aisa bann gaya hai but jo bhi reason hai main Swayam se hi jaana chahungi'. Jab tak woh mujhse kuch nahi kahega I'll wait'. And I'm sure Swayam will share it with me but at the right time'.. If he thinks I should not know the reason behind his behaviour right now then I respect his decision and I'll wait till he wants to tell me about it!... I'm sorry if I'm being rude!

Vicky: Sharon Rai Prakash saying Sorry! Nae'.! You don't want to know the reason'. Ok! Because even I'm sure Swayam will come and talk to very soon'

Sharon: Thanks Vicky!

Vicky: Don't be! Dost hai yaar'.

Vicky hugs Sharon and leaves to continue with his work'. That day Sharon planned to stay back and finish some important paper work'.. And Swayam had also messaged her saying that he'll be working late today so he can't pick her up'.. Sharon was in her cabin busy working'.. She had kept no track of time'. She just glanced at the clock and it was already 11'.

Sharon: Oh shit! Bahut late ho gayi hoon! I should leave nahi toh mom-dad pareshaan ho jayenge'.

She was just packing up when she heard some music being played'. She was shocked and scared'.

(to herself): Itni late Academy main kaun aa gaya?

She slowly moved to the rehearsal hall where the sound was coming from'.. She stood at the doorstep and was just starring at the person letting out his aggression and frustration'. Yes it was Swayam'. He was dancing on Bezubaan'.

[First starting off with smooth movements expressing his hurt and the pain']

Hai jo lahu mera, behta chala

Dekho junoon mera, kehta chala

Khaabon ka tha makaan jo dehta chala

Bezubaan kab se main raha

Begunaah sehta main rahaa

[His movements now became furious'.. venting out his anger that grew just thinks about his father's remarks'.]

[His mind drifted to Sharon'. Thinking about her his expression were soft... He wanted to tell her about his state of mind and what all had happened but something was stopping him from doing this' What? Even he doesn't know]

Mujhko na kar yun juda

Can any body tell on me?

[The longing for his father's love and care was noticed through his moves'.. He just wanted his father to appreciate him for once'.. to stand by him just once']

Hey hey...

His moves were fast and hard'. As if he was hurting himself'. But for what?... As the song finished he was down on his knees'. His hands balancing his torso and his head held in mid-air'. Sharon saw his entire dance and had tears that were threatening to fall any minute'. Through the dance she saw exactly what Swayam was going through'. She just wanted to go and hug him tight and tell him that everything will be fine'. She is always there for him'. Controlling her tears she walked to him and knelt down in front of him'.

Sharon: Swayam!

Swayam jerked up as he had not expected anyone to be there at this hour on the night'. But when he saw her, he went numb'. He first thought he was hallucinating but then when he saw those eyes filled with lots of love'.. care'' concern'.. he knew it was her'..

Swayam: Sharon! Tum'... Yahan?!

She couldn't see him like this anymore'. So she thought of making the first move'. She moved closer and cupped his face'.

Sharon: Kya hua hai Swayam? Please talk to me! Main tumhe aise nahi dekh sakti'. What is it that's troubling you so much?

He was silent'. Just looking into her eyes'. He felt that he was the luckiest person in the universe to have such a caring life partner who understood his state of mind by just looking into his eyes'. If they love each other so much then how can anyone question their relation?... this got back all the thoughts that Swayam was trying to forget'. He just looked and Sharon'

Swayam: Sharon, bahut late ho gaya hai, you shouldn't be here'' Apna bag lekar aao I'll drop you home!

Sharon pulled back her hands'. She understood that Swayam was not yet ready to share his feelings' So she just nodded positively and went to fetch her bag'. The ride back home was silent as usual'.
