Rajat – she is our FB cum Banquet Manager, very efficient and hardworking girl…………….suddenly something struck to Rajat and he said, Ram, I think we got the solution of our problem.
Ram – what is it?
The whole day Priya was busy with her work, today was the first day of the new change and it went remarkably good, the idea hit it, though its very nascent in its stage but still its being liked by the people. Priya was sitting in her cubicle and was going through the papers when her mobile ringed up, it was Shruthi. Shruthi and Priya were good friends in school. After her parents died she shifted to the Hostel of the same school. It was in the Hostel that Shruthi and she became more close. Both studied in same class and share the same room. Shruthi knew how Priya longed for the love of family. Jab bhi hostel me chutti hoti thi tab saare parents aate the bachhon ko lene ke liye, Priya used to stare at them, she never shared her feelings with anybody, 10 saal ki umar me usse samajh me aa gaya tha ke woh iss duniya me akeli hain, woh badi ho gayi hain, she has to look after herself. Mother Vincent aur Shruthi dono ne Priya ko bohot samhala, jahan mother ne Priya ko ma ki mamta dene ki koshish ki wahi Shruthi ne usse kabhi bhi akela nahi chhora, she always stay beside her. It was after school that both of them parted other ways, Shruthi went to do her graduation in psychology and Priya in Hotel Management. Shruthi went to London and Priya came to Mumbai, bas woh friendship e-mails me hi dab ke reh gayi, after approximately 7 years dono ek dusre ke amne samne aye woh bhi isi Hotel me, tab tak Shruthi ki Rajat se shaadi ho gayi thi aur Priya ko bas 9 months hi huye the join kare huye. Bas uske baad yeh dono hamesha touch me rahe hain, hala ki Shruthi ab shaadishuda hain, Rajat knows the frndshp of Priya and Shruthi and all of Priya's past, itne bade business ghar ki bahu hain par phir bhi she hasn't changed aaj bhi wahi masti aur alharpan uss me hain, kabhi kabhi toh yeh dono date pe bhi jati hain ek dusre ke saath, Priya ki khali zindagi me Shruthi ek fresh jhonke ki tarah hain toh usi shruthi ka phone aaya hain aaj, Priya samajh gayi aaj phir se kuch khichdi pak rahi hain iske dimaag me, Priya took the call
Shruthi – yaar tu thak nahi jati, itna kaam kar kar ke?,
Priya – toh kya karu?, aur waise bhi tu janti hain mujhe mera kaam kitna pasand hain.
Shruthi – ha ha, raat din kaam me dube rahegi toh aur kaun pasand ayega, tujhe toh teri fiqr hain nahi lagta hain ab mujhe hi kuch karna parega, tere liye ek achha sa ladka mujhe hi dhoodna parega
Priya – ohh! maate, mere liye itna kuch karne ki zaarorat hain nahi, kaam kya hain bol
Shruthi – lagta hain Rajat ko bol ke tujhe kuch dino ke liye chutti dena hi parega tabhi jake tu maanegi
Priya – dekh Shruthi tu Sir ko kuch nahi bolegi, aur waise bhi mujhe chutti nahi chahiye, ghar pe beyth ke bore hone se achha hain main office me rahoon
Shruthi – par Priya yeh sab kitne din tak chalega, I mean tujhe settle bhi karna hain life me, aur jahan tak main janti hoon tera koi boy frnd bhi nahi hain, tu samajh rahi hain na main kya keh rahi hoon
Priya after some pause said, agar mere kismat me shaadi hain toh hogi warna jitni bhi koshish kyun na karle koi, hona toh wohi hain jo kismat me hain, isi liye yeh baat maine apni kismat pe chhor diya hain.
Ab Shruthi ko bura lagta hain, she knows how much pain Priya has gone through, she knows how much she misses her parents.
Shruthi – achha yeh sab chhor, kal office ke baad tu mere ghar pe aa jana dinner ke liye.
Priya – dinner kyun?
Shruthi – aise hi, bohot din ho gaye tujhse mila nahi toh socha dinner karte hain, waise Rajat aajkal tera kafi tareef karte hain, toh socha main bhi dekhlu aakhir kitni tareef ki haqdaar hain madam
Priya – dinner zaarori hain?
Shruthi – kyun?
Priya – nahi matlab mujhe bohot awkward lagega, Sir ke saath
Shruthi – Priya! Rajat tera boss office me hain, ghar pe woh mera pati hain toh iss hisab se woh teri saheli ka pati hain, toh usse tujhe awkward lagna nahi chahiye……………….bas tu kal mere yahan dinner pe aa rahi hain, final
Priya smiled and said, okay maate aapke aagya sar aankhon par, saying this both laughed heartily.
Hota yun hain ke Rajat Ram ko ghar pe leke aya hain aur Shruthi ke samne apna plan discuss kiya hain. Shruthi Ram ko janti hain, as a person bhi aur professional colleague ke hisab se bhi, she knows the character of Ram Kapoor………………………………..Ram Kapoor jo kuch bhi karta hain woh duniya se chhupa ke nahi karta hain, sab jante hain usske bare me par Ram ne aaj tak kisi ke saath battameezi nahi ki hain, he is a complete womanizer but never forced anyone into his bed, auratoko respect karna usse aata hain, dil phek hain par bado ka maan rakhna ata hain usse, duniya ke liye Ram shrewd diplomatic businessman hain, womanizer hain par is chehre ke peeche bhi ek aur chehra hain Ram ka jo sirf uske frnds and family wale jante hain, jo usse kareeb se jante hain woh log jante hain Ram kitna soft spoken hain, dil ka sachha aur emotional bhi, bohot kam ko yeh baat pata hain ki Ram apne babuji ke naam pe ek trust chalata hain jahan destitute girl child ko rakhha jata hain aur un logon ka dekhbhal kiya jata hain, from their health, to food, clothing, nutrition, basic amenities, education, sirf yehi nahi unn logon ko apne pairo pe khare hone ke liye the trust provide vocational training so that they can earn their livelihood with dignity. Ram ke iss pehelu ke bare me sab waqif nahi hain, Vikram sab janta hain aur by chance Rajat ko yeh baat malum par gayi thi and he told everything to Shruthi…………………….may be that is why when Rajat told his plan Shruthi did not react instead she gave a second thought on that and was convinced. Shruthi didn't want Priya to be hurt again, woh Priya ko jaan bujh kar aisi mushkil cheez me dhakelna nahi chahti thi but Rajat convince her, he told him that Priya is so much sensible and intelligent that she can understand the importance of the situation. Lekin phir bhi Shruthi ne Rajat ko kahan agar Priya iss dauran hurt huin toh she will feel guilty about it, but Rajat told her that Ram will take care of her, he will be by her side always.
Rajat, Ram and Shruthi, all were sitting in the portico of Rajat's verandah.
Ram – tujhe lagta hain tera yeh plan kamyaab hoga and do you really think Miss Sharma will be part of this?
Rajat – I know this will work out aur jahan tak Priya ki baat hain, woh bohot matured hain aur sensible bhi…………atleast we can give a try.
Toh plan yeh hain ki Ram Priya ko apni family se milvayega as his would be wife, bas Priya ko sirf natak karna hain ke woh aur Ram ek dusre se pyaar karte hain aur bohot jald shaadi karne wale hain.
Shruthi – maine Priya ko invite toh kar liya par main kaise usse batayungi yeh sab.
Ram – Shruthi, main samajhta hoon yeh bohot ajeeb sa plan hain aur koi bhi ladki iss plan ko na hi kahegi par phir bhi we don't have any other option than this, bas 10 din ki hi toh baat hain, ek bar Neha ki shaadi ho jaye bas phir main Dadi aur gharwalon ko sab bata dunga.
Shruthi – Mr. Kapoor actually Priya bohot sensitive hain shayad aap nahi jaante woh bin maa baap ke beti hain and Shruthi told Ram about Priya and her past, each and every detail.
Rajat – isi liye maine Priya ke bare me socha, kyun ki ek woh hi hain jisse pariwaar ki ehmiyaat kya hain pata hain, bhale hi usse family me rehne ka mauka na mila ho, she knows the family values and traditions. Priya bohot hi suljhi huyi ladki hain, am sure woh yeh kar payegi.
Ram heard both of them and sighed and said, I hope she agreed to do the work.
Ram was waiting for Priya in Mumbai airport. Their flight for Amritsar is about in an hour. Priya came along with Rajat and Shruthi. This was the third time Ram saw her. Priya bohot simple hain aur woh uski dress se pata chalti hain, she is wearing a light yellow churidaar kurta, has put no make-up only her deep eyes are bearing dark lined kohl in it, and lips having lip gloss. Koi nahi kahega ke Priya bohot khoobsurat hain par uss me kuch toh baat hain jo usse sabse khaas banati hain, she is slim and is average in height, bohot aam hain par kuch khaas hain, Priya ki sabse khoobsurat cheez hain uski aankhen, bohot gehre hain uski aankhen lekin bohot dard bhi chhupa hua usme, lekin jab dil se hasti hain toh yehi aankhen khushi se jagmagah uthti hain.
Flight was almost ready to take off, announcement is done. Shruthi hugged Priya and said, koi bhi pareshani ho toh mujhe call karna, u know am always there for you.
In the flight Ram and Priya are sitting in business class. Ram was working on his I pad and Priya was watching from the window and thinking about the incidents, how she met Ram, his proposal, their plan…………………….that night after her office Priya went to Shruthi's house for dinner.
Shruthi – kab se tera intezaar kar rahi hoon, kahan reh gayi thi tu?
Priya – market gayi thi, tujhe kaju katli bohot pasand hain na, toh socha leti chalu, le yeh pakad.
Shruthi – thank you, chal andar chal
Both came to the hall where Ram and Rajat were discussing something. Priya was still in office attire, the formal. She came and greeted Rajat. Ram was sitting at such a position that Priya could only see someone's head.
Rajat – Priya, meet Ram, Ram Kapoor, my business partner cum dear friend.
Priya now saw Ram. Ram was wearing jeans with a Black tee and a jacket, he was looking very handsome person in this attire. For brief seconds Priya was lost but she managed to come out from her trans and greeted him too.
Ram – its pleasure meeting you Miss. Sharma.
Now Priya is feeling really awkward, ek toh Rajat Sir ke samne aise upar se yeh Ram Kapoor bhi yaha maujoot hain, she feels like killing Shruthi, yeh kahan fasaa diya usne.
Shruthi, in the meantime served the drinks and snacks to everyone. Priya was really feeling uncomfortable. Shruthi sensed that and tried to make Priya at ease. After sometime she started feeling relaxed but still a sense of awkwardness prevailed in her. Rajat was watching Priya and he signaled Shruthi to start.
Shruthi – Priya, main janti hoon agar main kuch bolu toh tu na nahi kahegi
Priya – baat kya hain Shruthi?
Shruthi – Priya, actually……………..Rajat samajh gaya Shruthi hichkicha rahi hain and he started the topic.
Rajat told everything to Priya, starting from Natallie and Ram's relation, Ram's disinterest in marriage, dadi's order and finally Neha's shaadi. Rajat even told his plan. Priya was just listening to his words, but neither said anything or questioned anything. After Rajat finished his words, everyone was waiting for Priya's reaction but she was just staring at the carpet of the room. After some moments, Shruthi said,
Shruthi – dekh Priya main janti hoon yeh bohot mushkil hain kisi bhi ladki ke liye par abhi Mr. Kapoor ko hamari madad ki zaarorat hain.
Priya looked up and asked Rajat, Sir why u want me to do this part?
Rajat – Priya, mujhe lagta hain tum me woh maturity hain, woh family values or ideals hain, ek tum hi ho jo iss baat ko samajh sakti ho
Ram – Miss Sharma, I don't want to force you, mujhe sirf kuch din ka waqt chahiye, meri behen ki shaadi ho jaye phir main sab ko sab kuch bata dunga, u just have to act accordingly. I promise aap ko koi kuch nahi kahega.
Priya – am sorry Sir, turning to Rajat and said, mujhe meri parwaarish ijazaat nahin deta ki main itna bara jhooth bolu, kisi ke emotions ke saath khelu, mujhse yeh natak nahi hoga.
Priya came back to reality and thought, kya main kuch galat kar rahi hoon, pariwaar ke emotions ke saath khel rahi hoon main, mujhe koi haq nahin banta yeh karneka, thinking this she looked sideways and saw Ram is engrossed in his I pad. Priya said in her heart, bade bade logon ki bade bade choonchle, thinking this she sighed and took out her book from her handbag and started to read.
Priya was very much engrossed in her book when Ram called her name.
Ram – Priya, I need to talk to you.
Priya – jee kahiye
Ram – Priya, first u need to know about my family, and about me. I am sure by now u know about me, but still I want to tell u something more. So Ram told her about himself and also about his family.
Priya listened to him.
Ram – do you want to know anything else?
Priya nodded her head in negation.

Ram and Priya reached Amritsar.

Partition se pehele hi woh log yahan aa gaye the aur yeh haveli unhone khareed li thi. Jo log partition ko dekha hain yah jante hain uske bare me woh yeh jante honge ki sabse zyada effect partition me do province huin thi ek Bengal dusra Punjab. Hum log aaj ke generations ke hain, hum soch bhi nahi sakte ke uss waqt kya mahaul tha, uss paar se aur iss paar se trains jaate the laashe bhar bhar ke, log apne jeevan ke saare jama punji chhor ke jane ke liye majboor the, ghar ki bahu betiyon ki izzat mehfoos nahi thi……………..aisi haal me Kapoors ne apne moholle ke saare bachhen aur auroton ko sahara diya tha, Lalaji ki patni yaani Ram ki dadi ne bohot samhala tha unn sabko…………………..partition ke baad azad Hindustan me tab bhi bohot mushkilen thi, sabse badi thi be rozgari. Bohot kam log the jo apne sab kuch laa paye the uss paar se. Lalaji ne yahan par karobaar shuru kiya aur zaaroratmando ko kaam pe lagvaye, bachhon ke liye ek school bhi khola. Yahaan aake Lalaji ke do bte huye, bada Amarnath aur chota Ajitnath. Dekhte hi dekhte Lalaji ka karobar jam gaya aur sab settle bhi kar gaye, par kahin na kahin unhe Lahore ki yaad ati hi thi, aakhir mitti hain woh. Lalaji ka dhyan sirf karobaar be hi nahi balki social causes me bhi tha, yeh batwaara unko hila ke rakh diya tha, isi liye woh hamesha kuch na kuch karne ki koshish karte rehte, jahan unhone bachhon ke liye school khola wahi dusri taraf bahu betiyon ke liye bhi kuch karne ki koshish ki aur isme unka saath diya unki patni Jasmeet ne. Lalaji ke paas se koi bhi khali haath nahi laut ta tha, unki yeh haveli me kai saare log rehte the, bhale hi unka pariwaar chhota kyun na ho par extended family tha unka, koi bhi nirash hoke un ke darwaaze se nahi laut ta tha. Lalaji samajh rahe the changes ko aur unhone bhi apne beta ka saath diya, hala ki Amarnathji apni biwi aur bachhon ke saath saal me ek baar zaroor ate the aur chhuttiyan manate the. Amarnath ki jigri dost Abhiraj Shergill bhi yahi se hain, yeh dono ek hi saath bade huye the aur padai bhi ek hi saath complete ki thi, Amarnathji apne babuji ki business join kar li aur Abhiraj ne Army. Ram aur Neha ki bachhpan ki bohot saare yaadein hain iss haveli me. Log aaj bhi Lalaji ko yaad karte hain, woh aaj bhi sab ke dil me base huye hain, unke guzar jane ke baad Ram ne zid karke apni dadi ko Mumbai leke aya gaya, kyun ki Ram apne dada dadi ka bohot ladla tha, aaj bhi woh dadi ki baat ko taal nahi sakta hain, isi liye yeh saara natak rachaya hain.
