Chapter 4

After a week

The sky floated with multitude of clouds ,white , black and many shades , the orange sun , about to say farewell touches the massed cloud shaped with streaks of red . the winds blows as it lists , a hurricane now craving shapes now breaking them apart ; fancies , colours ,forms ,inert creations as the beauty of the valley enlighted the world , jaigarh looked most beautiful during the sunset and even Gitanjali was situated on the sunset point of Jaigarh after a long day all were returning to their home , lucky manyata she avoided any more trouble related to uday , today was the first day of college she behaved so well as she and nawang walked down the hill hands in hands she looked at the setting sun her gaze was different for the first time there was a warmness a love in her eyes , it was true today was a special day for her it was her daimaa 's birthday there was a small party just of a few friends this day she had always celebrated specially as they reached the home as according to the plan nawang made an excuse and took vasundra out in the art gallery down hill while here manyata ,Ayesha and arvind was responsible for decorating the living room each works was divided as the cake was to be brought by sadiquul and seemji an the food was to be bought by palavi and prateek here in manyata house the trio got busy decorating the room with ribbons , manyata seemed the busy bee as she was handling every thing the candles were not being seated properly and that was annoying her to add up to her trouble her phone was buzzing continuosly as finally she received it and barked

MANYATA:what happened?

PRATEEK:There is a problem here we forgot the receipt and the owner is not giving us the cake

MANYATA:you are kidding me how could you do that where the receipt?

PRATEEK:it was with pallavi

From behind she heard pallavi saying

PALLAVI:no it was with prateek

They kept accusing each other as finally manyata lost her patience and screamed

MANYATA:shut up you both ok come here and help with the decorations , I am going to bring the cake

Saying this she grabbed her jacket and was almost rushing out of the hills , she raced but the cake shop was more up and her legs pained like hundred devils , but she was running like a horse in a race but this horse had to stop as it got banged against figure and found herself down on the road as a small part of her jeans got torn the person handed it hand as she got up to see it was mayor along with his friends group saffal ,santanu and kripa as mayor staired at her face and said

MAYUR:I am sorry manyata I mean I did 'nt see you

She opened her mouth to speak as she got a text from sadiquul saying

"babiji the food order fell on the ground while putting in the ground it is totally destroyed what are we to do?"

Manyata face turned pale as she wondered what was she supposed to do as her eyes travelled at the appolozising mayur and she asked him

MANYATA:are you free now?

MAYUR:yes I am but I am sorry please

MANYATA;ok here is the restro address please go and say them to give today birthday order and take it to my home

At this he looked at her confused as she took his hands into hers and said with pleading eyes

MANYATA:and please be carefull that ma don't notice please you will do it na mayur

MAYUR:yea sure

As this words escaped his mouth she again raced upwards while even he along with his friends as she saw the sun was almost setting and she was very much aware that the cake shop on the foot hills of latern hills and she must return before the sun sets as finally she reached the cake shop and after a bit pleading the shop kepper agreed to hand the order and in mean time she also got the information that the food had also she asked mayur and his friends to join the party , the decoration was also ready but here even vasundra was insisting on going back to home , manyata knew she had to rush and by the time she came out she realized that it was pitch dark and now even the shopkepper had locked it shop and went she raced down the hill all alone as the sudden cry of cicada ran a spine down her nerve she shivered in the cold and now even her legs hurt so badly suddenly she tripped on a stone and got her legs sprained , she had no strength to move still tried her best dragging it but it was of nohelp now she was struck in middle of such a scaring place with no light and with no strength at all but as always even this time god send her angle as she saw a streak of light as it came nearer she noticed it was a car she stretched her hands for help and it stopped but a frown came across her face as she saw the driver it was none that her super hot proff uday sir as he opened his window glasses and giving his signature smirk he asked

UDAY:seems like someone here needs a lift

She crushed her fate for such a bad day but she was helpless in the hands of lady fortune and finally said

MANYATA:sir can you please drop me to my home my ankle is twisted please sir

UDAY:sure come

She passed a sweet smile and sat on the passenger seat and acrefully kept the cake as the ride started the ride was quite as uday did a blunder to open his mouth and asked

UDAY:so hows birthday is it?

MANYATA:my mom you don't know sir I had so much of trouble since morning this prateek they lost the receipt and then this sadiquul bhai spoiled the food so I had to rush here and there the whole time thank god mayur and you came to my rescue

UDAY:but you should not come here during this time it is dangerous

MANYATA:I know sir but today situations made me come but sir what are you doing here?

UDAY:I had some personal work with the forest officer

MANYATA:but he is already gone

UDAY:yes I was unware of the fact so are you coming to tomorrow evening spring festival

MANYATA:no sir

UDAY:why I thought all people of the town were going

MANYATA:I do not like crowded area so I will not be going

UDAY:ok here we finally reached do wish your mom from my side

MANYATA:sir why don't you come along

UDAY:I would love to join but sorry today it is not possible

She got off the car thanked him and went inside opening the gate as she saw mayur waiting on the doorsteps , they headed inside and did the final touching after long vasundra came and the party was started she was so happy and pleased but entire time manyata was into the deep thought of uday , his brown eyes seems like a drug to her ,and his voice so strong and so powerful he made her heart skip beat and her cheek turned red as she questioned herself that if it was truth that every body goes to spring festival then even he must be going and a part of her jumped to go to the fest as mayur came and said

MAYUR:ok manyata its too late I need to leave

MANYATA:thank you mayur for whatever you did today

MAYUR:can you do me a favor in return

MANYATA:sure anything

MAYUR: tomorrow evening in the spring festival all my friends are going to the masked party and they want me to go to but I don't have partner so I was just thinking '''.it is ok if you don't want to go I can understand I mean you don't go any year

MANYATA:you asked me so politely and I don't find a reason to reject I am going with you ok

MAYUR:yea thank you so much

Saying this manyata pulled him into for a hug as warmness spread over the globe , mayur cheek flushed and the love eh stored for years seemed escaping his heart for this beauty but somewhere the tables were being turned and the prisoner of nature was set free , disaster was to start as the beast smiled to himself
