And here's...
Part 17 - Unbreak my heart!Khushi saw Arnav's BMW screeching to a halt a li'l away from her main door. She ran as fast as she could and stood in front of his car. She gasped as she caught a glimpse of him under the dim lights of the driveway. He looked haggard! His eyes were hollow and bloodshot, his hair messed up and his cheeks looked sunken. She bridged the gap between them and stood right in front of him as he got down from the car. Arnav looked at her and her heart went out to him seeing how sad he looked. She raised her hands and cupped his left cheek
'Arnav? What happened to you?'
And in that second, Arnav snapped! He grabbed Khushi by the shoulders, turned around swiftly and roughly pushed her against the door of his car. He brought his face an inch away from hers and snarled at her
'Tum apne aap ko samajthi kya ho? How dare you hang up on me?? You think you can do whatever you want and say whatever comes to your mind and I'll just take it sitting down?'
Khushi was shocked at the way Arnav was yelling at her and the way he had pinned her to the car. As her upper arms started throbbing due to his strong grip, tears started pooling in her eyes. Arnav was still glaring at her and her heart broke a li'l seeing that he was unaffected by her tears.
'Arnav! I'm sorry I overreacted! I...'
'You're damn right you overreacted!' Arnav cut her off while his grip on her arms tightened, bruising her pale skin instantly.
'Arnav!! Please! You are hurting me!!' Khushi's tears were unstoppable now. She trembled slightly seeing Arnav's wrath. He looked manic and it scared the hell out of her!
Arnav let go of her arms roughly and turned away from her. Khushi saw how stiff he'd become. His hands were fisted at his sides and his jaws were clenched. He was breathing heavily. As scared as she felt of him, she knew she had to try and calm him down. Their relationship might be new and rocky right now, but Arnav's irrational anger was not new to Khushi. She knew he didn't mean anything he said when he was angry. So she went close to him and tentatively put a hand on his shoulder. When he didn't relax his rigid stance, Khushi pressed her palm on his shoulder and tried to turn him around.
'What do you want from me Khush?' Arnav almost whispered without turning around.
Khushi was surprised to see him suddenly subdued. There was no easy way around this. She decided she has to tell him about all her insecurities...about his past...about their past...about their future...everything! She took a deep breath...
'I want you Arnav! Only you!'
'But you have me dammit!! All of me! Why won't you understand such a simple thing?'
'Can you blame me Arnav?! Given your skirt-chasing past, every single minute of which I've been witness to?' Khushi blurted without thinking.
'What?! What did you just say?' Arnav was spitting fire as he turned around and glared at Khushi.
Khushi instantly took a step back from him. She could feel her legs trembling under his angry gaze. She bit her lip and looked down. Arnav took a couple of steps towards her and saw her still not meeting his gaze.
'Look at me Khush' he said softly.
When she did not look up, his infamous rage took over him completely and he gritted his teeth and punched the door of his car, right next to Khushi. Khushi yelped in fear and shock and tried to hold her tears back. Arnav was shocked to see Khushi's response. He went close to her and gently held her close to himself.
'Khush? Are you afraid of me?' Arnav's words were a strangled whisper.
Khushi heard the pain in his voice and instantly looked up. She swallowed the lump in her throat and tried to shake her head to say no, but it was too late! Arnav had already seen the naked fear in her expressive eyes. He groaned loudly and let go of her. He ran a frustrated hand through his hair and started to walk away from her.
'Arnav! Please stop!' Khushi pleaded.
'Go away Khushi! Get away from me before it's too late! I'm a monster. I don't know how to do this...this love, this relationship, commitment, marriage! I'm not cut out for any of this. I will only end up hurting you more. Please! Leave me alone! I cant do this anymore!'
Khushi was too shocked to respond immediately.
'What are you saying Arnav? I know I overreacted and I shouldn't have acted so impulsively the moment I heard Mia's name, but please, try to understand my insecurities. I'm as scared as you are! You know, this is my first relationship too Arnav! Are you telling me you're going to give up on us so easily? Is this how much you love me?' Khushi forcibly turned him around to face her as her anger started rising.
'I can bear anything Khush but i can't bear that you don't trust me! It's been barely a week since we confessed and we are already fighting over a girl...a girl who was never my girlfriend! Whoever gave you that idea? Did you even think of asking me before you jumped to conclusions? I agree I don't exactly have a rosy past when it comes to girls, but I thought you trust me enough to know that I have never had any feelings for any of them nor have I ever led any of them to believe so! You're the first and only girl I've ever loved! But I guess I was too stupid to give up my beliefs for you! You proved me right today Khushi...all this talk of love and marriage is crap! Two people can never live their entire life together. We have been together for barely a few days and already this is ending! What does that tell you?'
'En...end...ending? What do you mean?' Khushi stuttered.
'I mean, this is not going to work out. You mean too much to me Khushi. I am not the right person for you. I'm grumpy, I'm snappy and I have an insane amount of anger inside me. It'll burn you down sooner or later. I don't want that for you. You're a happy person and you need someone who is like you. You're not going to be happy with me. Sooner or later you'll realize that this was a big mistake and by then it might be too late. Better now than later!'
Arnav opened the door of his car and turned around to see her before he got in.
'I'm sorry' he said as he got in and drove away.
Khushi stared at his retreating car dumbfounded. She felt like her life was slipping out of her hands. What had just happened? When she saw Arnav's car pulling into her driveway, all her anger had vanished...all her insecurities were gone! She was elated that he was here...here early! Her heart had soared thinking that he had driven down just for her. And now, 30 minutes later, here she was...standing alone in the middle of the night, reliving the same nightmarish moment of more than 2 years ago! Khushi felt dizzy with grief...grief over her short lived love and grief over all her shattered dreams and grief over the realization that she had just been dumped by Arnav...again!
'You promised! You promised me that you'll never break my heart Arnav! You promised!!' Khushi whispered into the night air as she collapsed in the middle of her driveway with gut wrenching sobs.

As soon as Arnav drove into his house, right next door to Khushi's, he felt empty! He banged his hand on the steering and cursed loudly!
'F$@k! What the hell did I just do? How did such a simple fight escalate into something this big?' Arnav thought to himself. He realized that once again he had let his anger get the better of him and once again he had said things he did not mean due to that. As he turned his head to his right, his eyes fell on the huge bouquet of Gerberas that he had got for Khushi, lying on the passenger seat next to him. He had chosen a big bunch of all the colors the florist had which made it very bright and beautiful!
'Just like my Khushi!' Arnav thought and that jolted him into reality instantly. 'Shit!' he exclaimed and got down from his car grabbing the bouquet.
As Arnav ran onto the street towards Khushi's house, he furiously chanted 'Please be there! Please be there!'
The moment Arnav entered Khushi's house again, he scanned the entire driveway, but she was not there! She was gone!!
Arnav stood there as he thought back to a week before.
'I love you Arnav...always have!'
I'm afraid you'll break my heart again. I'm very very afraid!'
'Khush, I'll never break your heart again! And I'm not going anywhere...not now...not ever!'
I.Love.You! I Love you Khushi!'
Arnav let the flowers drop on the ground as he began to feel very afraid...
'What have I done?

A/N:
I know! I know! Too much drama, right? But according to me, there's bound to be some when two polar opposites come together in a relationship. Khushi 'expects' Arnav to understand her insecurities but Arnav is dense when it comes to the matters of the heart and when it comes to understanding what a girl wants...reassurance!
So please give them a chance! They need to put in more time into this relationship...and Lucknow is going to give them that! Until then, drama it is! 😳
