Methili the reason behind Pranay's win?

Guys,

Methili was the moral support behind Pranay's win in the race but she was not the hole sole reason!!! Just because a gal sits behind a guy doesnt make him a winner!!! If that was so, Adi too had someone behind him!!!

then why is it that Adi thinks that it was because of Methili that Pranay won the race? That reasoning sonds so illogical!!!
