XYZ HOTEL

[PARI'S POV]

Meera and I were seated in one of the restaurants of the hotel post the meeting while Yash Bhai and Vicky still discussing the remaining formalities of the project. Mr Chopra was planning a major revamp of his 7 Star Hotel. Constructional changes will be done by Khurana Construction,Yash Bhai's firm will design the decor and the look while Khanna Cements will provide them cement at the most feasible rates. Mr Chopra was happy and satisfied with the whole idea, planning and finally the deal was signed.

We were waiting for Yash Bhai and Vicky to get done. Meera excused herself to use the washroom while I was gazing the view outside. Suddenly I had an uncanny feeling of being watched. I looked around only to witness some cheap men staring at me lustfully. I averted my view but still could feel their eyes on me, they now started passing cheap comments and advances on me. Meera too had left her phone with me, I tried calling Vicky and Yash Bhai but their phone was unreachable.

Now I was getting scared!

The hotel was already closed for public on account of revamp and taking advantage of the situation one of the guy moved towards me not wanting to take any chance I just picked up our belongings and ran towards the door.

[BRIJ'S POV]

Once I reached the hotel my friends directed me where I could get hold of that reporter, while they waited in the only open restaurant of this hotel. I was looking out for that reporter who had my life living hell from a past few days. 24/7 that news channel aired all news segments, talk shows, debates etc regarding my case ruining my family reputation.

"Ek baar mere haath lag jaaye phir use uski aukaad dikhaunga!" I promised myself.

Finally I saw the object of my misery who stood in one of the corridors engaged in a conversation with Mr Chopra, Yash and Vicky.

'What are all of them doing here together'.Are they planning something against the Handa's?'

I walked towards them to find out what all of them were up to, the smiles on their face was adding on to my temper each second but before I could confront them''..

[VICKY'S POV]

"Thank you all for your support! Next year this hotel will be celebrating its Silver Jubilee Year and I want to inaugurate the new revamped hotel on the very day 25 years ago my Dad inaugurated this hotel. This was my family's dream which without the support of Mr Ranjit and Rajiv Singh Khurana, Mr Malhotra (Yash's Dad) and Mr Khanna (Pari's Dad) then and today the new generation taking over and giving it a new lease of life. I am indebted to all of you!" A beaming Mr Chopra exclaimed.

Yash Bhai assured Mr Chopra that this revamp will be the best of its kind! We were about to take his leave when Miss Rhea Mehra too joined us, she had come here to sign a contract on behalf of ABC News Channel which will be promoting and also covering all aspects regarding the revamp. Mr Chopra thanked her and the channel for their support. We were engaged in our conversation when some noises caught our attention. We looked in the direction to see Brij standing at a distance and some kids laughing at him. We moved towards them.

'Time for some fun!' I thought and indeed the statement from one of the kids had us all in splits.

"Mummy dekho Mowgli uncle!" It was indeed a sight to watch Brij's face lost all its colour only to be replaced by red colour of fury the very next moment watching all of us laughing at him.

Not letting this golden opportunity slip off our hands Yash Bhai played along, "Bilkul sahi kaha tumne bte woh chota Mowgli ab bada ho gaya hain." adding to Brij's embarrassment.

"YASH'" Brij gritted his teeth.

Seeing the situation getting volatile the moms grabbed their kids moving out. I assume the kids must have seen Brij's jungle fiasco news and had associated him with the cartoon character of Mowgli walked away singing the famous track of the cartoon show.

"Jungle jungle baat chali hain....." only to be hushed by their mom but Yash Bhai continued.

"Chaddi pehen ke fool khila hain...fool khila hain!"

The next moment Brij pounced on Yash Bhai grabbing his collar uttering profanities Mr Chopra and I tried to intervene as Bhai spoke in a stern voice.

"Collar chod!" Freeing his collar off Brij he continued. "Aisi galti karne ki sochna bhi mat jo tujhe seedhe yahan se hawaalaat (jail) pohucha de. Yeh tera hi kiya hain jo ab tere saamne aa raha hain. Samjha."

"OYE!..." Brij started only to be silenced by a loud scream which echoed through the corridor.

" PARI! " The only word that escaped my mouth as we rushed towards the source.

"Maan khana pohuch gaya na? Aur aap please time pe kha lena." My cutie wifey demanded.

"Geet main ek meeting ke liye bahar aaya hoon, bas ab office hi jaa raha hoon aur khana bhi kha loonga. Pakka. Waise aaj banaya kya hain?" I inquired.

"Aaj toh maine saari apni favourite dishes banayi hain butter kulcha, paneer makhani,daal makhani, jeera rice aur uske saath khatti kairi (raw mango)ka achaar!" She disclosed making scrumptious sounds. This woman surely knew how to drive me mad the very thought of her facial expressions at the moment was building up an urge in me to grab her and kiss her senseless right now. Getting control over myself and realizing the menu she had just disclosed left me dazed.

"Geet kya yeh khana tumne mujhe bheja hain? Geet agar itna heavy khana main office mein khaunga toh so jaaunga." I asserted.

"Oh hello! Main toh apne khane ka menu bata rahi thi aap ke khane ka menu bhi koi batane ki cheez hain wohi ghisa-pita ghaas-phus jo maine bhijwa diya hain. Yummy delicious khana toh ab main khaungi." She stated proudly.

"Haan yummy, delicious aur fattening bhi." I muttered but she heard it.

"Kya aap ne mujhe moti kahan?"

"Nahi Geet meri aisi himmat main toh yeh keh raha tha ke itna makhan bahot fattening hain." I tried to do some damage control.

"Sab samajti hoon main'.aap apna pheeka khana kha lijiyega aur main apna masaledaar khana abhi khaungi yahaan." She concluded.

"Ek minute...tum khaungi matlab...baaki sab kahan hain?" There was complete silence from her side for a few moments making me doubt that she was alone.

"Uff Maan aap bhi na, sab toh hain yahan'.accha maine gas pe khana rakha hua hain main jaati hoon baad mein baat karenge. Bye." She cut the call abruptly confirming my doubt.

She was indeed alone!

XYZ HOTEL

[VICKY'S POV]

We all ran towards the secluded corridor and the sight that braced us was truly shocking and unexpected. Dev was fighting a group of men single handedly while Pari and Meera stood frightened in one corner. On seeing us both rushed towards us and narrated us how these men had misbehaved with Pari cornering her in this deserted corner of the hotel and when Meera tried to intervene they started misbehaving her too. Dev who had been passing from the other side of the corridor rescued both of them and got in a scuffle.

I looked in the direction of those men who were trying hard to overpower Dev and Brij charging towards Dev, to attack him from behind ofcourse the coward that he was. Yash Bhai rushed there and blocked him from attacking while I plunged on the group who had nearly cordoned Dev.

Dev had saved the girls and we owed him this favour and also teach the scoundrels a lesson of a lifetime that they will think 10 times before doing such a thing in future. All of Brij's friends were biting dust.

Though the hotel security had arrived but I had gestured Mr Chopra to not interfere, Yash Bhai had been waiting for this day when he could settle scores with Brij, somewhere even after all the planning done there was a kind of pent up anger which needed release. Today Yash Bhai had got an golden chance which was accidental but required.

I am sure Bro's (Maan) chance was not far!

One final blow from Yash Bhai and Brij landed on Dev and now Dev did the needful.

"Teri himmat kaise hui meri behen ke saath yeh sab karne ki, kya socha tune main kuch nahi karunga. Mujhse badla lena tha toh saamne se vaar karta apne chamcho ke saath ladkiyon pe vaar kar raha tha!" He punched him hard making Brij bleed.

Brij lay defeated on the floor but soon he picked up a vase from nearby table and was about to attack when Miss Mehra caught hold of his arm and warned him.

"Jail kaafi pasand aa gaya hain aap ko Mr Handa! Before more charges are pressed on its better you leave, as your men are in for serious trouble with attempt to rape charges being pressed on them and I hope you are not planning to join them." She concluded. Mr Chopra's security didn't intervene but Mr Chopra had already called the police who arrested Brij's friends but Brij needed to be out because Bro wanted it that way.

Dev walked up to Pari and inquired if she was fine to which Pari just nodded. She was drowning in mixed emotions one side the love for her Bro and another side anger for his deeds.

Dev was also hurt Mr Chopra's staff came with first aid kit for us. Pari looked lost, I held her hand firmly pressing it assuring her its ok but Yash Bhai gestured her and she went towards Dev making him sit on the couch nearby she dressed his wounds silently. Done with the dressing she got up when Dev held her arm but Pari freed her arm from his grip and spoke sternly.

"Maine apne bade Bhai ko dressing ki kyun ke main unse bahot pyaar karti hoon par main uss insaan ko maaf nahi kar sakti jisne apno ke saath itna bada dhoka kiya ho." She just walked out not once looking back.

KHURANA MANSION

"Chal Geet ab itne vadde ghar mein tu akeli hain, Nakul Bhaiya, Bela Di aur baaki saare servants bhi rest karne apne quarters mein chale gaye. Chal koi nahi isme darne ki kya baat hain abhi kuch der mein sab aa jaayenge. Tab tak main khana kha leti hoon warna Dadaji aur Dadima bahot gussa ho jaayenge. Ek kaam karti hoon yahin kitchen slab pe baith ke kha leti hoon jaldi jaldi, hain na." I served the food in my plate.

"Haan Geet best idea hain hum yahin kitchen mein chori chori chupke chupke lunch karte hain, kisiko pata nahi chalega!" Maan suddenly hugged me from behind startling me.

"Maan aap...yahaan...kaise...aap toh office..."

"Apni wifey ke saath akele lunch + romance karne ka mauka thodi jaane deta!" I said winking at her and she blushed at my open declaration.

"Chalo ab jaldi jaldi kha lete hain isse pehle koi kabab mein haddi aa jaaye!"

"MAAN..." She hit my arm with mock anger but I knew she was happy to have me here with her for lunch. After our call I immediately called Aadi and informed him that about the change in my plan and then called KM and instructed Nakul about my plan and he made sure that all the servants were out of mansion for sometime. Lifting her up and settling her on the kitchen slab and then making myself comfortable beside her I lifted a morsel to feed her but she stopped my hand midway.

"Maan yeh bahot teekha hain aap ko takleef hogi, aap ka khana toh maine office bhej diya." She was feeling guilty but the next moment she jumped down from the slab and brought tomato ketchup and added to the paneer sabzi so it reduces its spiciness.

I was in awe of my Meeshti!

We both sat together on the slab feeding each other. Lately but I have realized how much these small moments mean. A smile on her face just brightens up my spirits. Finally done with our lunch date I headed back to office. I couldn't help smiling remembering our moments together feeding each other and ofcourse ocassionally catching her off guard and kissing her senseless and her showing her mock anger but the colour of her cheeks proving otherwise. My reverie broke when my cell buzzed and Vicky spoke to me regarding...

KHANNA HOUSE

"Hello kaun bol raha hain?"

"Yeh jaan na tumhare liye zaroori nahi lekin iss waqt sirf main hi tumhaari help kar sakta hoon."

"Kaun ho tum, aur main kaise maan loon tumhari baat?"

"Mrs Ayesha Khanna tumhaare paas koi aur choice nahi, acchi tarah se soch lo main woh hoon jo tumhe tumhaara sab kuch wapas dila sakta hoon. Main wapas phone karunga lekin tum iss baare mein kise se bhi baat nahi karogi apne bete se bhi nahi kyun ki uss par 24/7 Maan Singh Khurana ki nazar hain. Samjhi."

'Yeh kaun hain jo mujhe aise phone kar raha hain aur hamaare baare mein itna sab kuch jaanta hain. Uska iss sab mein uska kya phaayda hain?'

KHURANA MANSION

Post dinner Yash, Arjun and Aadi had dropped in for some discussions we can't meet up at office frequently as it would create suspicion around but todays happenings had left many questions unanswered. Dev was following Brij that we knew but Brij?

"Maan kya soch raha hain tu?" Arjun inquired.

"Brij ka wahan apne doston ke saath hona kuch samaj nahi aaya, aakhir woh chahta kya hain?" I shared my worry with all.

"Main bhi tab se yahi soch raha tha par kuch samaj nahi aa raha hain, Mr Chopra ki deal ke wajah se toh woh nahi aayega aur usse hum par shaque bhi nahi hua hain. Uski baaton se toh aisa nahi laga bachi wahan sirf ladkiyaan Meera, Pari aur Rhea..." Yash divulged the details.

"Rhea toh sirf ek reporter hain, Brij usse kyun milna chahega?" Vicky queried. Dad suddenly stiffened at the mention of Rhea's name but before I could react Geet enlightened us she had overhead our convo. Placing the tray of coffee on the table she continued.

"Rhea Mehra...Maan mujhe yakeen hain Veerji uske liye hi aaye honge. Rhea hi woh reporter hain na jo Veerji ke saare news segments cover karti hain, hain na. Ek aurat ki wajah se unhe itni zillat uthani pade yeh woh kabhi bardaasht nahi kar paayenge. Woh zaroor usse nuksaan pohuchayenge. Maan Rhea ki jaan khatre mein hain!Please usse bacha lijiye." Geet pleaded breaking down and I just stood up taking her in my arms consoling her.

"Geet tum fikar mat karo hum Rhea ki security ka poora khayaal rakhenge. Don't worry." Arjun too assured her.

"Maan yeh khel ab aur bhi khatarnaak ho gaya hain. Main umeed karta hoon ke kuch galat na ho. Gunehgaar ko sazaa mile na mile kisi begunaah ko kuch nahi hona chahiye!" Dad proclaimed as he left the study. Rhea's name had disturbed him but why?

I had come down from my room for a cup of coffee, Geet was in the washroom so I decided to help myself when I saw Dad going out of the house. I followed him out only to see him leaving alone in his car without any security. He seemed very tensed and worried. Him leaving like this didn't go down well with me.

The main door opened and Dad entered in quietly, he was walking towards the stairs when I switched on the lights startling him. Before he question me or change the topic wasting no time I came straight to the point.

"Dad aap itni raat gaye Rhea Mehra se milne kyun gaye the?"

"Tum mera peecha kar rahe the?" He stiffened at my sudden question irked with my behavior inturn questioning me sternly.

"HAAN!" I confessed.
