Next day after leaving Adi at camp, Arjun went to office. He was a bit disturbed that he went directly to Sam's cabin.

Sam: kya hua Rawte? Any problem?

Arj: kal ek incident hua.patha nahi kisike prank the ke nahi. Bas ussi ke bare me bath karne aya tha.

Sam:bath kya hai?

Arjun shows the chit to Sam and says about the matter.

Sam: bath ko aise thode na chod sakthe hai. its serious Rawte. Hum koi risk nahi lesakthe.

He calls Chotu to cabin.

Ch: yes sir.

Sam: Chotu, we need a man to keep eye on Adi's camp. Sirf waha nahi balke uss lane me. Keep an apt person over there.

Ch: sure sir, kya hua? Koi problem hai?

Sam: abhi filhal tho nahi. Lekin it's a precaution. Kuch bhi notice kiya tho mujhe ya Rawte ko inform karna.

Ch: yes sir. I'll see to it.

He goes out. "tum fikar math karo. Adi kaise hai?"

Arj: he is fine. kal bohot khush the. kafi ghoomne gaye the

Sam: that's good. Ab bas 1 month aur kuch din hi bacha haina?

Arjun gets a bit upset by that. "hm…"

Sam: mujhe patha hai ke tumhe tumhare bete se dur rahke bohot bura lag raha hai.hamare kaam bhi kuch aisa hai ke usse akele ghar pe nahi chod sakthe. Lekin agar ghar pe koi hotha tho… usse ghar pehi…

Arj: ghar pe nany rakhna mujhe pasand nahi hai Sam. Wo uspe bohot zyada hi depdend karne lagege.

Sam: mien nany ke bare me nahi keh rahe the.

Arjun looks up to him. "Sam please we have already talked about it. please stop it"

Sam: akhir kab thak Arjun? don't you think Adi deserve to be happy?"

Arjun gets up from the chair and walks to the door.

Sam: tum hamesha aise chup nahi reh sakte Arjun.

Arjun turns to him. "for your information Sam, Adi khush hai. hamare duniya me koi kami nahi hai. usse aise hi rahne do"

He walks out of the cabin. Sam looks at his retreating figure. "tum nahi samajhthe Arjun. Adi khush nahi hai. wo bas tumhare khushi me shamil hai."

Sakshi reaches her cabin too and saw Arjun going out of sam's cabin. "lo akdu Ratwe ka darshan hua. Aaj kisse pakane ke baath soch rahe hoge?"

He was walking directly to her cabin's direction.

Sa: God ye tho yahi arahe hai. ab meine kya kiya?

He knocks and enters without permission. "Sakshi… mujhe wo…"

Sa: ek minute Arjun. pehle ek good morning tho bolo.

He raises his eyebrows to her. "Sakshi, mere paas waqt…"

Sa: good morning takes less than 3 seconds ACP Rawte.

Arj: tumhare problem…

Sa: even less than 3seconds.

He stops his words for a few second. "din me ek bar good morning karna kafi hai. you said it twice now. ab aage ke bath kare"

She just nods her disappointedly. "mujhse na tho sahi good morning tho kaha. Ok fine. boliye. Kya kar sakthi hu me apkeliye"

Arj: mujhe Rajat Khana ke bare me information chahiye. Kal ke case me ye naam aage aye the. so get me information ASAP.

Sa: par kal ke case me aap nahi the.

Arj:kal nahi tha. Isliye aaj puch raha hu. Get me the details about him.

He turns and goes out.

Sa:lo. Mien yaha case report karne ayi thi.inhone mujhe kuch aur hi bana diya. Kaam pe lag ja Sakshi. Aaj firse samjhe samjhau se bacha hai. ab sunne math dena.

She gets to her working mode. With her contacts she gets all information about Rajat. After that she goes and knocks at Arjun's door. "Come in…"

Sak: ye lijiye. Jo mujhse ho saktha tha wo sab yaha hai. Rajat seemed to be a positive man, par uske piche kafi kuch chal rahe hai. I mean unke contact list me kafi zyada log hai jo hamare hitlist me hai. par kisike sath bhi koi direct link bhi nahi. He knows to keep his slate clean.

Arj: (looking through the files) koi itna bhi ache nahi hai ke apne slate itna bhi clean kare. Koi na koi nishan tho zaroor miss kiya hoga. Any way good job.

Sakshi's eyes are wide open. "Excuse me??"

Arjun looks at her. "kyu thareef pasand nahi hai ya ye kisi aur se karwaya hai?"

Sa: meine hi kiya hai. par… you said 'good job'

Arj: ha… I don't think wo koi gaali thi

Sa: no... I mean… (coming out of shock) wo kya hai na kabhi aap mujhe tareef nahi hai. isilye thodi hairan thi.

Arj: agar kaam ache ho tho tareef karna mujhe koi problem nahi hai. bas kaam pe ache se dhyan rakna chahiye. Hasi mazak sab ache hai, par sabkeliye uska ek waqt hai.wo samajhke control karo. Samjhe??

Sa:samajh gaye. I'll try.

She gets up and leave the room.

Arj: ab isse kya hua?mere har bath pe ladthe tha. Ab thode bohot sudhar gaye hai. good.

Sakshi goes directly to the hall. Aisha and Sree were there.

Sr: kya bath hai Sakshi? kafi khush dikh rahe ho?

Sa:guess what? Arjun ne 'good job' kaha. Wo bhi mujhse…

Ais: are wah well done dear. Fir tho tum kuch kamal ke kaam kiya hoga?

Sak: iske matlab mien pehle nahi karthe the?

Ais: aisa thodi na kaha. I mean….

Sak: patha hai. mien bhi chauk gayi thi. And he even spoke well to me. Kuch tho chuut raha hai.

Sr: ha jabse ye mahina shuru hua hai, sir kafi badla sa hai.

Sak: ab iss mahine me aise kya bath hai. bachonko vacation time hai. hamare koi special bath tho nahi hai.

Ais: vacation time hai.yahi bath hai na… wo...jabse…

Sam walks in. "team we have one more case with us now."

Arjun follows him too. All take their seats. "ek bache ke kidnap hui hai. abhi thak koi ransom call nahi mila hai. Mr. Anmol Dixit ka beta, Ajay. 10 saal. Arjun, tum Aisha aur Sakshi waha jao. thab thak mien,Sree aur Chotu yaha sambhalthe hai. Sakshi ke information ke help se ye case kafi jald hi solve hone ke chance hai. so team lets go."

Arjun leaves with the ladies. They reach Ajay's home and asks for the details.after the details of the case, Arjun discuss it with Sakshi and Aisha. "jithna hame bathaya gaya hai, ye kidnap business rivalry hone ka chance nahi hai.ye log ithne bhi bewakoof nahi hoge. Its something else.mujhe uss Anmol ke mama, Deva kuch teekh nahi laga. Aisha, get information on him"

After some more investigation they get the information about Deva. He was Anmol's uncle who had a dark life. He kept to himself most of the time and was badly into superstitions. He kept visiting tantrics mostly for various reasons.

Arj: aur ye tantric se kyu milthe the?

Sak: ye nahi patha. Lekin Deva ko Anmol ke property aur paise petho ankh thi.

Arj:aur Anmol ne apna sabkuch Ajay keliye hi kar raha hoga. So it can be a reason that Deva do something.

Ais: iske matlab Deva ne hi ye sab kiya?

Arj:ho saktha hai.ye patha lagana hoga ke Ajay ke gayab hothe waqt wo kaha the. aur for kaha gaye.

Through many questioning and investigation,they find Deva guilty. But Ajay's location was still unknown.

Arj: akhri baar puch raha hu. Bolo ajay kaha hai?

At last Deva had to speak up. He had left Ajay at the tantric's place.

Arjun goes with Sakshi and Aisha after giving Deva to the police. on the way he informs Rathod too. As Rathod's case was solvedhe too joins Arjun at the tantric's place.

It was well protected zone. But the team didn't have any problem in getting in. it was just a little game for them to get past the tough looking men, called the sevaks. They get in soon and inside it were like hell.

Ajay was about to be slashed out by the tantric. Sam's shot stopped his acton.but Ajay was injured. Arjun takes the kid out of the hall in his arms.there was a cut in Ajay's wrist which was a part of the ritual going on.

Deva wanted to finish off Anmol's prosperity and this was the method suggested by the tantrics.the team felt disgusted at the thoughts.

Arjun takes the kid to the SUV. The kid is so frightened. He clings on to Arjun's shirt. "daro math beta. You are safe. hum apko apke papa ke paas chod denge ok."

The kids nods yes and hugs Arjun tightly. Sakshi looks on to it.

"ye bhi inke ek roop hai?"

He calls Aisha to bandage the wound. Aisha and Sakshi come up. Arjun goes away with Sree and Sam.

Sa: Arjun ke ye chehra meine kabhi dekha hi nahi. Wow.

She looks at Aisha who was treating Ajay. The kid was sobbing and Aisha was consoling him. in between she tied bandage to his wrist.

Sak:wow yaar, you are good with the kids.kaise sambhalthe ho insabko.

Ais:kyu?itne bhi kya mushkil hai?

Sak:mushkil? Kafi tough hai na? bache kafi tang karthe hai.bohot sare sawal bhi karthe hai

Ais(smiling) : bachpan me hum sab bhi aise hi the Sakshi.agar uss waqt hamare parents ne aise socha hotha tho hum yaha nahi hothe.

She gets the point. "wo tho hai Aisha. fir bhi mujhe bache uthne teekh nahi lagthe."

Ais: ek bar unke man jaane ke koshish karo. Uske kareeb jane ke koshish karo.fir dekhna tum khud ye soch badal dalega.

Sak: kya sare bache aise hai? (thinking about Adi) I mean…agar koi bachathode khadoos type ke ho… kuch hamare Arjun ke tharah… usse bhi sambhal sakthe hai?

Ais: why not? Aaj hi tumne kaha ke Arjun sir tumhare tareef kiya. Aur abhi unke ek aur chehra dekha. Tho unke type ke bache… usse bhi sambhala jasakthe hai. waise kaun hai ye bacha? Ye wahi hai na jo tum kal bathane wale the?

Sa:ha wahi.

Ais: all the best with him.agar koi help chahiye tho batha dena.

She takes the kid to Arjun and Sam.

Sak(in mind) :cube jald hi complete karna hoga.

She didn't know why she wanted to meet Adi.inside she didn't like kids much. But something in him was drawing her to the kid.

Both cases were solved. Arjun calls Chotu.

Arj: aaj sabere jo bath hua tha uske kya hua?

Ch:sir uss lane me hamare 2 informers hai.abhi thak kuch bhi unusual notice nahi kiya.

Arj: ok. Fine.

He walks to his room and still looks at the chit. What is this all about?

After work, Arjun goes to camp and takes Adi to a hotel. Its just about 6 pm. The city was still busy. Adi was so busy updating the day to him. All the way, Arjun was also noticing around, just to make sure if everything was ok around.

Adi: apke koi chor bhag gaye hai?

That caught Arjun off guard. "kya?"

Adi: apke chor bhag gaye hai?

Arj:nahi tho.kyu?

Adi:tho aap kisse dhund rahe ho.

He smiles. Junior Rawte was exact copy of the senior. He could catch his Dad red handed. "are wah mere champ kafi achi tharah se observe karthe ho"

Adi: police wala hu.sab dekhtha hu…

Arjun ruffles his hair. Adi pouts his face. "sabko mere bal se kya problem hai? uff…"

He arranges it himself.

After food he wants to go to park. Arjun didn't want to go, still they go. In the park, Arjun stands at the swing area, while Adi is on a swing. The ACP in him was vigilant, but the dad in him was so happy to be with his son.in between another kid comes and talks with Adi.

"naya friend!!" Arjun smiles while thinking.

Then the kid gives a paper to Adi and runs away. Arjun immediately goes to Adi.

Arj: kaun the wo Adi? Kya hai ye?

Adi:patha nahi dad.usne ye apko dene keliye kaha.

He takes the paper and reads it, keeping away from Adi. He frowns.

Few minutes back:

Adi was enjoying the swing.his dad was just a few feets away, standing leaning onto the post of another swing,watching him.his dad was smiling at him.

A boy of his age comes to him. "hai tum Adi ho?"

Adi: ha…

Boy: mien Roni. Ye ek uncle ne diya hai,tumhare papa ko dene.

Adi takes the paper and the boy runs away. Just then his dad comes to him.

Now:

He folds the paper and keeps it in his pocket. "wo kya hai dad?"

Arj:kuch nahi Adi. Ghar chale?

There was a change in dad's tone.he nods yes.

They got in the SUV. They were driving home. Arjun was disturbed. Adi knew it and kept silent.

It was dark now though it was not late night. But then…

A screeching voice and a hit … Arjun slammed the brake.

A black SUV just passed by him from his side, very close to him… hitting his SUV hard with it… and then sped away. Arjun's SUV had to move to a side of the road, with the force that it hit him, and thanks to his presence of mind that he slammed the brake hard. It avoided a bigger collision to a tree right in front of him, which was on the roadside.

He looked ahead at the passing SUV, there was no number plate.

Adi was frozen to the seat.he looked really frightened. Arjun pulls away the seat belt and scoops Adi to him. "Adi… aap teekh tho hai na??Adi Speak…beta you are fine… speak…"

Adi was in shock. "dad…" he whispers.

Arjun hugs him tight. "its ok Adi… kuch nahi hua. You are fine. mien hu na aapke saath. You are fine."

Adi couldn't cry. He was damn afraid. They sat there for a while. "Adi, hum ghar chalthe hai.ok??" he slowly nods yes.

Arjun goes fast to his home. He carries Adi to the hall. He was too frightened that he didn't leave Arjun for a second. Arjun sat on the sofa, hugging Adi tight. In between he took his mobile and messaged Sam. "come home now. urgent"

He couldn't leave Adi too.his fear was resurfacing. Already he had lost Roshni. He won't be alive without Adi. But Adi's silence frightened him.

Arj:kuch chahiye apko. Please kuch bolo. Aapko lage tho nahi?

Adi nods no and hugs him tight. "dad… wo hame maarne kyu aye the?"

Arjun didn't know what to say. "koi maarne nahi aye the Adi. It was just an accident. relax. kuch nahi hua" Arjun pats his back and kiss his hair.

Sam reaches home. One look at them said something was off. While getting in he had noticed a hit mark on the SUV too.

Sam:kya hua Arjun?koi accident?

Arjun gives the latest chit to Sam.

"sambhalna… waqt bohot kam hai…"
