PART - 7 OUR SMALL WORLD

Sleep didn't have any mercy on ARNAV that night,he laid his eyes wide open his one arm protectively wrapped around KHUSHI's waist holding her securely to him and the other on AASHI ,he has never seen KHUSHI the way she was moments ago the way she has broken down in his arms, the fear he has seen in those hazel eyes was same he has seen the night he has come back home after his kidnapping,,the relief and the reassurance that he was and is going to be there with her always and now when they have come so far in their life they were not just ARNAV and KHUSHI now they were parents and he knew that they will go to any lengths to protect their daughter from any harm whatsoever,he looked at her wife brushing the tendirls of hair away from her face tucking them behind her ears,his gesture let out a sigh from her and she snuggled closer if that was even possible and he felt nothing but pride for her wife,the way she has stood up for ther daughter today was impeccable.

But ,he also knew that behind that strong faced mother there was a daughter who has felt worse for speaking up to her buaji like that whom she loved and adored ,he himself respesected her a lot ,he get that she has been concerned but the way she has spoken about AASHI only he knew how has he controlled himself from speaking something outrageous .AASHI was theirs and nothing can change this fact and he would be dam if he didn't let this fear went down the drain from his wife's heart.

The morning rays made their way through the glass door towards their room,it was already morning and he was so lost he hadn't realised it,just as he thought to get some sleep he heard AASHI's wail ,quickly coming over he picked her up and led her to the poolside,not wanting to disturb KHUSHI's sleep.

As he rocked AASHI in his arms trying to stop her from crying,how much he hated tears,he realised she musy be hungry, as quickly the realisation dawned he quietly move downwards,it was quite early so not anyone was up at this time,he made his way to the the kitchen and took the milk out of fridge,balancing AASHI with one arm holding her tight her head securely placed on his father's shoulders ,he put one pan on stove to warm the milk and filled other with water to sterilise the bottle.

While doing he felt a joy that no words can ever express,the excitement for first time doing something for his child,his baby and feeding her can any deal or the profits worth of millions would even be able to come close to the satisfaction he felt at this moment ,never ever and that was the true happiness he felt at this moment.

He filled the bottle with milk and again headed upstairs towards the poolside,he sat on the armchair bringing AASHI on his laps so that he can feeder,he checked the milk on his arm to see its not too hot for her,he thanked all te books he have read on the child care as all the information was coming sohandy today,he can never go wrong with his daughter.

He fed AASHI and once she was done he stood up patting her back softly so that the milk gets digested,while walking with her back and forth he talked to his baby.

"AASHI u know ur mama is upset,what should we do so that she becomes happy as before,we know she will not say anything herself rite".

To which AASHI paased her a full blown smile as of understanding her father' words.

"Hmm.kuch to karna padega" (something has to be done but what)he crooned.

As if to answer all the questions AASHI's eyes caught attention to a magazine placed on the table,as ARNAV turned to see what has caused his daughter source of attention his eyes followed hers and there lay on the table a book with a mother holding a little angel in her arms and tan expression that said she was explaining something to her.

The great ASR mind worked in full spring at that time,this would be the perfect thing to do ,the best gift he could give to KHUSHI and this way all her fears and insecurities regarding to AASHI would also go away forever.

"AASHI u know what ur really an angel"he screamed in joy and kissed her on her cheeks and she her lips curved into the beautiful adorable smile ,a child understands nothing but love and affection nomatter how small she is.

He didn't knew how time paased,he was playing with AASHI ,and has already spoken to aman regarding the arrangements to be made.

"AASHI,baaki sab toh thik hai par tum naa KHUSHI ki tarah jalebis mat banana,(rest all is fine but you please don't learn to make jalebis like KHUSHI),okay ill teach u to do gardening and then both of us will do it together while ur mama creates mounts of jalebis"he smirked at his daughter.

"Acha to aap mer shikayat kar rahe hai aap apni beti se ARNAVj"(like you are complaining abt me to your daughter ARNAVji)KHUSHI spoke in a teasing tone to the duo .

"KHUSHI tum ' tum to so rahi tha naa"(KHUSHI ' you --- you were sleeping )ARNAV spoke urgently he has clearly not expected KHUSHI to hear that.

KHUSHI has woke up to not find her daughter and her husband by her side ,as she got up her feet has automatically taken her to the poolside,the connection she shared with her ARNAVji always guiding her to where he was and then she has stood mesmeriszed as if she was watching a scenic beauty but to her nothing in the entire universe can be more beautiful than the site of her husband talking to their daughter and taking care of her so gently yet protectively.she knew until and unless he was there with her no harm can come to them ever.

The mention of jalebis her has broken her trance and she decided to tease her husband a little and seeing his flushed face she knew she has hit the mark,to her rite now they both looked like two little kids caught in doing some mischief.

"KHUSHI its nothing like that,me and AASHI were just talking"ARNAV spoke again to get her attention.

KHUSHI broke in heavy laughter he was ASR ,whom people considered as arrogant and a smart businessman all encompassing never altering from his focus but then he was here in their small world which they have built for themselves where he was only ARNAV and she felt blessed because his this side was only reserved for them.

Her laughter ARNAV stood smitten seeing her laugh like that when suddenly KHUSHI came forward pulled his cheeks and said "CHOTTE"

"What the KHUSHI,tumse kitni baari kaha mujhe is naam se mat bulaya karo" (how many times I have told you not to call me by this name KHUSHI)and now definitely not again,I am a father now)he said anxiously.

"ARNAVji ,jab aap aise baat karte hai naa toh bahut cute lagte hai aur hum apne aapko rok hi nahu paate"(ARNAVji,when you talk like this you look so cute that I cant help but call u this)KHUSHI spoke as if explaning something to a small child.

"KHUSHI me and cute u got to be kidding me"he said.

"Kyun aap hamari jalebi ke baarein mein baat kar sakte hai aur hum aapko cute bhi nahi bula sakte"(why you can talk about my jalebi but I cant even call you cute)she said in mock anger and turned around.

"Okay fine "he said surrendering ,he knew when it comes to verbal bits he can never win over his wife".

"I wont talk about ur jalebis making spree and you want call me chottey, DEAL"

"SAUDA" she confirmed and shaked his free hand sealing the deal.

And both of them broke into laughter as they always did whenever the terms like deal and sauda came in their conversations these small small fights has only made their relationship stronger than ever and they took full enjoyment in it.

With a concerned look on his face,he cupped KHUSHI's face and she immediately snuggled to his touch and asked in soothing voice

"KHUSHI, tum theek ho naa"(ru okay).

She nodded her head in negative and hugged him from side clutching his arm keeping her head on his shoulder and keeping her other hand over ARNAV with which he was holding AASHI.

"Ab hum thik hai"(now I am fine) she confirmed.

The world is always full of people who say harsh words,the manipulations and falseness ,but its upto us how we take it in our life,if we let the bitterness change the goodness in us then its no one loss than ours and this thing was best understood by ARNAV and KHUSHI who from being strangers has now come this far to learning being parents together and nomatter what life puts them through with the power of true love and the faith they have on each other they knew they wil always come to the place they called their chotti si duniya which was full of love a place they called their home.

While writing this all the while,i was imagining the scene playing in front of me and hoping you all can do the same too while reading it,i personally loved writing about ARNAV as a father.

CAN ANYONE GUESS WHAT WOULD HAVE ARNAV PLANNED FOR KHUSHI ?
