We exited from the study, Vicky danced the way to his room not before giving us a winning smirk. I couldn't believe Geet gave up so soon! Dadi was all the while grinning and I couldn't control anymore and burst out.

"Dadi I tell you yeh Geet aur Bhai ka koi bharosa nahi pata nahi kab ladte hain aur kab ek ho jaate hain aur aap log has rahen ho." I complained absolutely not happy with what I witnessed few minutes ago. What confused me more was Dadaji's smirk and the knowing look that both him and Dadi exchanged, sensing our confusion Dadi spoke.

"Aap ko kisne kaha ke Geet ne Maan ko maaf kar diya?" We all stood rooted at her statement.

"Annie bete planning toh aap ne bahot acchi ki thi lekin aap bhool rahi hain that you are dealing with Maan." Still not getting any response from us Dadi elaborated.

"Alright hum aap logon ka confusion clear kar dete hain. Kal jab Geet ne Maan ko kamre se bahar nikala tab hi hum dono jaante the ke Maan chup baithnewalo mein se nahi hain woh zaroor kuch aisa karenge jo Geet ne socha bhi nahi hoga aakhir MSK ko harana itna aasaan nahi hain. Maan sirf tab haarenge jab woh khud haarna chahe. Yeh sab Maan ka kiya karaya hain!" She stated the fact.

"WHAT!!! Phir aap ne Geet ko itna kyun sunaya, aap bhi Bro ke saath ho gayi." I cribbed and continued "Main abhi jaa ke Bhai ko dikhati hoon."

"Rukiye Annie...hum Geet ke saath hi hain aur issiliye humne Geet ko sunaya ab dekhna yeh hain ke Geet sar jhuka ke haar maan leti hain ya phir Maan ko mooh tod jawab deti hain." Dadi disclosed her stand.

"Tok kya hum kuch nahi karenge?" Pari inquired.

"Karenge na, popcorn kha ke free ka entertainment dekhenge aaj. This is going to be interesting!" Dadi winked and asked us to freshen up and join them at breakfast.

"Maa aap bhi kya bacchon ke saath..." Aparna looked tensed with all the events.

"Aparna bachon ki baat nahi hain, inhi choti choti khushiyon se toh zindagi dilchasp (interesting) banti hain aur yehi nok-jhok pyaar ke rishtey ko aur mazbood (strong) karti hain." I assured her.

All moved out of the study and I turned towards Maan holding his collar I confronted him.

"Main jaanti hoon yeh sab aap ne kiya hain... sach sach bataye main yahan kaise aayi?"

"Geet yeh kya tarika hain apne pati se baat karne ka kuch sharam haya hain ke nahi tum mein." He said glancing my hand on his collar and then my face.

"Aur tum yahan kaise aayi yeh main kaise bata sakta hoon, Geet ke Babaji dekh rahe hain na aap bechare pati pe kitna atyachaar ho raha hain. Agar tum mere paas aana hi chahti ho toh directly bol deti meri baahein toh hamesha tumhari liye khuli hi rehti hain." He concluded dramatically confirming my doubt that all this was his doing.

"MAAN...drama mat kariye aur seedhe seedhe bataye warna..."

"Warna kya? Tum MSK ko dhamki de rahi ho. Toh theek hain suno, main hi tumhe yahan laaya tha. Kal raat ko tumhe yaad hain na hamaare room ko terrace se join karte glass door par koi knock kar raha tha, woh main hi tha jab tum door khol ke bahar check karni nikli tab main chupke se room ke andar chala gaya aur chupkar tumhaare sone ka intezaar kar raha tha. Jab tum gehri neend (deep sleep) main thi tab mauka dekh ke main tumhe yahan study main le aaya. Lekin tum yeh kabhi saabit nahi kar paaogi ke yeh sab maine kiya hain." He proclaimed his achievement proudly and I just gaped at him shocked.

"Geet aise aankhen phaad ke kya dekh rahi ho, soch rahi ho na ke main tumhe utha ke yahan tak le aaya aur tumhe pata bhi nahi chala,hain na." He whispered in my ears kissing my cheeks.

"Haan!" I replied still dazed.

"Geet dimaag pe itna zor mat daalo jo beet gaya usse bhool jao aur yeh socho ke ladies brigade jo tumhaare khilaaf ho gayi hain unse kya kahogi ?" He asserted, his smirk provoking and reminding me about the blunder.

"Aap ko sharam nahi aati aise sab harkatein karte hue aur upar se mera mazaak udate hue. Sab mere baare mein kya soch rahe hoge. Aap ki wajah se sab mujhe galat samajh rahe hain" I tried to sound confident but knew I was actually trapped.

"Yeh tumhe tab sochna chahiye tha jab mujhse panga liya tha, kal raat ko toh bahot style maar rahi thi aur mera mazaak banaya uska kya. Tumhe kya laga main tumhe chod dunga. No ways! Kal toh badi sherni ban ke dahaad rahi thi ab kya hua bheegi billi ban gayi. Chalo bahot late ho gaya main tumhaari wajah se ab main workout karne jaa raha hoon. Bye! miss me!!" He hauled me to him kissing me hard and ran out of study leaving me appalled.

I was so angry with self and him and couldn't help muttering.

"Dusht - daanav, dus sarwale Ravan..." Suddenly he peeped in and ordered me.

"Baaki kosne ka program baad mein continue karna filhaal mujhe der ho rahi mujhe office bhi jaana hain."

I stomped my way to our room to freshen up. Standing under the shower I was thinking of ways to get back at him. Yesterday when I had seen that chipkali so close to him I just couldn't control myself not knowing what took over me and I reacted in such a way. I know Maan loves me and I totally trust him but still the very sight of some other woman near him made me mad. I have never felt or behaved like this earlier.

'Babaji yeh sab kya ho raha hain mujhe kuch samaj nahi aa raha hain.'

Stepping out of the shower I tried to reason out my behavior for a moment I felt how childish of me to fight on such a petty issue but then all his statements echoed in my ears and all my anger returned reminding me.

'Geet mat bhool ke unhone bhi toh tujhe nahi manaya, tera gussa door karne ke badle kya kya nahi sunaya, ke tu bekaar baat badha rahi hain, jagdaalu billi, ghayal sherni aur kya kya nahi bola. Aaj agar toh jhuk gayi toh woh tera aur mazaak banayenge.'

'Nahi main nahin jukhungi, lekin ladne-jhagadne se kuch nahi hoga,kuch aur sochna padega.'

I patted myself as I got a superb idea to settle my scores with him.

"Maan Singh Khurana aap ke hi mooh se boli hui saari baatein waapis lene pe majboor nahi kiya na toh mera naam bhi Geet Maan Singh Khurana nahi."

I entered our room post my workout only to receive a shock. Geet had nicely arranged my clothes and all my things on the bed as I walked up to the bathroom only to find my towel and other toiletries too well arranged in place. Though this was her daily routine post wedding, but today it seemed out of place.

I wasn't expecting this!

Then I headed for breakfast and there too she was absolutely normal, serving me my favorite pasta and my black coffee. Infact I reluctantly tasted it but all was fine which made me more suspicious about her idea of payback. I had practically spitted out my coffee in shock when she smiled at me sitting beside me and the next moment she got up caressing my back and inquiring if I was okay. The rest just gaping at us.

Once done with breakfast I was heading towards Dadaji's room as he had called me to discuss some issues when I bumped into my Jhalli who seemed to be in a hurry. Before I could question her she bombarded me with her set of questions of what I would like to have for lunch as she will be sending lunch for me.

Now her behavior was scaring me!

I was totally harrowed and confused since morning. My sixth sense alerting me but Geet's totally chilled out approach proving otherwise though I was sure she is upto something but what?

I returned to our room to confront Geet that too before leaving for office I had to know what was cooking in her mind or I will surely go crazy thinking about it the whole day. The sight stunned me Geet who had driven me mad since morning was here doing bhangra.

For a moment I forgot everything and was just drawn to her as if some magnetic force pulling me.

She looked ethreal!!!

Coming back to my senses which had gone for toss seeing my pure, innocent angel dancing.

'Yeh ladki ek din mujhe paagal kar degi!'

I mumbled to myself and then took up the task to confront Geet.

"Geet yeh sab kya ho raha hain?" My presence and question startled her for a moment.

"Yeh...main toh aivey timepass ke liye dance kar rahi thi." She said grinning ear to ear testing my patience.

"Woh toh mujhe bhi dikh raha hain. Main yeh jaan na chahta hoon ke tumhaare dimaag main kya chal raha hain. Subah se dekh raha hoon tum aise behave kar rahi ho jaise kuch hua hi nahi, itne pyaar se pesh (behave) aa rahi ho, meethi meethi baatein kar rahi ho. Itna sab kuch hone ke baad tum itni shaant kaise ho sakti ho?" I finally burst out trying hard to keep my temper in check.

"Yeh lo...jab main aap se ladti hoon toh bhi problem aur jab pyaar se pesh aati hoon toh bhi problem. Aap ne hi toh subah mujhe bola tha aise apni Pati ke saath nahi pesh aate. Phir mujhe samajh aaya ke Pati toh parmeshwar (God) hota hain uska anaadar (misbehave) karna ghor paap (grave sin) hota hain aur hamaari sanskriti (culture) ke khilaaf bhi hain, hain na." She spoke animatedly while I kept staring at her.

"KYA...aur achanak iss hriday parivartan (change of heart) ki wajah?" I too played along to make her spill the beans.

"Aap ne hi toh subah mujhe ehsaas dilaya apni galti ka, main bina wajah ke aap se ladti hoon, aap ko pareshan karti hoon, kal maine jo kuch bhi kiya woh sab galat kiya, hain na. Mujhe toh aap se maafi maangni chahiye." She asserted innocently making me loose my cool.

"GEET...apni nautanki bandh karo, izzat se bata do tumhaare dimaag main kya chal raha hain. Mujhe kosne ke badle phool barsa rahi ho, chilane ke badle..." I yelled only to be cut off by Dadimaa who entered our room hearing the commotion.

"Maan yeh kya tareeka hain baat karne ka aur aap itna chilla kyun rahe hain...Kya chal raha yeh sab? Kuch dino se hum dekh rahe hain aap sab ne iss ghar ko circus bana diya hain, khaas kar aap dono." She blasted us.

"Aap dono ka kuch pata hi nahi chalta, raat ko dono lad rahe the phir subah dono ek saath the, breakfast par bhi dono ek saath hi baithe the aur ab phir aap lad rahe hain...ab toh sab theek hain..." Dadi concluded.

"Kuch theek nahi hain Dadi aur nahi subah tha...woh toh main hi raat mein soti hui Geet ko study mein utha ke le aaya tha..." I closed my eyes cursing myself to have spilled the beans. Slowly I opened my eyes only to see Geet smirking raising her eyebrows and the rest trying hard control their laugh.

'I don't believe I fell for it!' Now everything made sense Geet had conned me for confessing my doings.

"Geet waise toh hume koi shaque nahi tha par aaj aap ne khud saabit kar diya hain ke AAP MAAN KI GEET HAIN! Aur yeh bhi ke ghar mein hamesha hamaari chali hain aur aage bhi hamaari hi chalegi."

"THEY CAN WIN THE ENTIRE WORLD BUT HERE WE ARE THE BOSS!!! AND THAT'S HOW IT STAYS!" Dadi proclaimed kissing her forehead and all of them left the room. And we both burst out laughing as I pulled her in a hug.

"Accha toh aaj tumne saabit kar diya ke tum MAAN KI GEET HO hmmm!"

"Koi shaque!" She exclaimed proudly. Breaking the hug I looked at her, she immediately shied her red cheeks adding on to her beauty lifting her face up to look back at me I replied.

"Nahi." Before I could continue Aadi's call broke our moment and I had to leave urgently. Kissing her goodbye I made my way to KC where Arjun, Yash, Vicky and Aadi were waiting for me.

KHURANA CONSTRUCTIONS

"Kya...kya...kya!"

"TV serials ke actress ki tarah reactions dena bandh kar Yash." Arjun chided him.

"Baat hi kuch aisi hain ke itna impact toh banta hain na boss aakhir The MSK ko room se bahar nikal diya gaya...Ha ha ha..." He burst out laughing others too joined him. I glared at them but no effect and looked at Vicky giving him a I will kill u! look to which he just scurried behind the trio.

"Ho gaya...ab kuch kaam bhi karle." I stated sternly and they all abided but not to miss the small muffles here and there. I glared at them and finally all seemed serious but it was shortlived as Yash's statement caught everybody's attention.

"Aadi tu zara pata kar na koi insuarance cover ya phir koi helpline ke baare mein jo bechaare pati ko biwi ke atyaachaar se bacha sake. Hamaare Arjun ko iski bahut zaroorat padnewali hain." He stated making a serious face but this time even I couldn't control myself and Arjun's face was worth watching.

"Bakwaas bandh kar aur mere baare mein fikar karne ke badle apne baare mein soch." Arjun spoke precisely.

"Maine toh already apni setting kar li hain ghar pe bhi bol diya hain, Sasurji se baat karne ko hamaari shaadi ke baare mein. Main ab koi chance nahi lena chahta agar Maan ke saath aisa ho sakta hain toh hamaara toh kya haal hoga woh soch ke hi darr lag raha hain. Waise bhi ab Meera zyaada se zyaada waqt mere hi saath hogi and I will make sure aisa hi ho." Yash declared dramatically.

"Haan main bhi Pari ko Annie se door hi rakhunga warna pata chala mujhe toh yeh log KM ke gate pe hi bitha denge. Arjunbhai aap jaldi shaadi kyun nahi kar lete." He urged Arjun.

Now I didn't like this but before I could react loosing his patience Arjun snapped.

"Tum logon ko Annie ki fikar karne ki koi zaroorat nahi, main usse sambhaal loonga. Itna bhi kuch nahi kiya hain usne aur mat bhoolon ki shuruaat humne ki thi usne sirf jawaab diya. Aur maanna padega ke kamaal ka diya! Arjun remarked proudly.

"Bro hum iss tarah haar nahi sakte..." Vicky whined only to be interrupted by me.

"Vicky ek mazaak humne kiya ek unhone, baat khatam aur waise bhi yeh ek khel hain koi jung nahi. Ladkiyon ki khushi ke liye aisi 100 haar manzoor hain mujhe. And most important khel khel mein bhi main itna bada risk phir se nahi le sakta."

"Jo ho gaya woh ho gaya, aage koi galti nahi honi chahiye. Yeh baat yahin khatam hoti hain. I hope I am clear." I said with finality.

"Ab aage kya karna hain?" Aadi inquired.

"Dev kaafi haath paav maar raha hain lekin koi uski madad nahi kar raha. Handa's ne bhi usse darwaza dikha diya hain aur Brij ko toh waise bhi humne kahin ka nahi choda toh ab?" Yash informed all.

"Hum unn par nazar rakhenge, we will wait for their next move and accordingly strike. Tab tak kuch nahi." I stated and all agreed.

I got up from my seat and moved towards Arjun hugging him.

"Thanks Arjun for everything! Ek bhai hone ke naate main jaanta hoon ke tumse accha life partner Annie ka ho hi nahi sakta aur tum hi Annie ko uske bachpane ke saath sambhaal sakte ho." A lump formed in my throat as I was awed by Arjun's thoughtfulness yesterday and his declaration today.

"PLEASE MAAN I LOVE ANNIE JUST THE WAY SHE IS! Aur waise bhi usse pareshan karne mein jo mazza hain woh aur kahan." He winked easing the heaviness around.

We parted for the day Arjun leaving for his office where Annie was supposed to join him from today and Yash and Vicky along with Pari and Meera going to XYZ Hotel together for a joint meeting for our upcoming prestigious project.

"Paaji pakki khabar mili hain woh reporter iss waqt XYZ Hotel mein hain."

"Tu wohi ruk main abhi aaya, aaj ussreporter ko pata chalega Brij Handa se panga lena kitna bhaari padta hain!"

KHANNA HOUSE

"Dev sir Brij Handa XYZ Hotel jaa raha hain abhi."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes sir kuch der pehle woh ghar se nikle hain."
