Finally I'm done with my finals and I can update this story for you guys! Now get ready for the suspense and I think you all are in for a big shock now 🤣 Anyways please continue giving likes and comments otherwise I won't be updating. Sending too many PMs and so many people PM/FB message me to update and once I do no one reads. So please I'm requesting you to like and comment! chapter 46
v - "What happened to her?" he asked all panicky
dr. - "Do you know her" she asked in a rush as she was doing different tests on Jeevika.
v - "She's my wife"
nurse - "Your wife fell on the bathroom floor. She is bleeding out"
v - "WHAT? She had a fever but?" he said all confused.
dr. - "Your wife is'.
dr. - "actually your wife has overdosed on some strong medication. We need to drain her body right now"
v - "WHAT? OVERDOSED?"
dr. - "Quickly hand me that tube" she said to the nurse who did right that.
The doctor took the tube putting it in through Jeevika's nose. Within a few more minutes she started draining out Jeevika's stomach. Through the tube everything inside Jeevika was coming out so the nurse immediately started hydrating her through an IV. Viren stood there confused holding Jeevika's hand. He wasn't sure what in the world was going on. All he wanted to do was breakdown now. Two of the most important people in his life were admitted in the hospital at the same time. But right now he knew Jeevika needed him more and that the whole family was near Veera. The whole process finished in another thirty minutes and thats when the doctor talked to Viren.
dr. - "Her body started to shut with all the high levels of drugs inside her. This must have happened sometime this morning"
v - "She was uhm. She had a high fever this morning and fell down n the kitchen and then I immediately gave her her medicine"
dr. - "Do you know the name of the medication?"
v - "I can't remember right now"
dr. - "It's okay I'll go check the last medication checked out from the pharmacy. I'll be back in sometime" she said leaving the room.
Viren's guilt was taking a toll over him now. Jeevika was in this state all because of him. Had he been careful she would not be here, but his focus was on Veera. As much as he wanted to be there for his wife, he couldn't. Everytime he wanted to prove to himself he could be a good husband and a good brother he proved himself wrong breaking his confidence.
nurse - "We're going to move her to another private room. Her vitals are still low, but she should wake up in sometime"
v - "Okay thank you" he said in a low tone.
They all transferred to the other room and passed by Viren's room. Virat was inside but he thought he saw Viren so quickly came outside the room and followed what looked like Viren. He got inside the room to see Jeevika unconscious and Viren standing, in pain right next to her.
virat - "Bhai? What happened? I mean what's wrong with..?" he said getting all confused and panicked.
Viren went to the side to talk to Virat.
v - "She bled out in the bathroom. Someone called the nurse quickly and they brought her out. The doctor said she overdosed on some medication making her bleed internally and fall unconscious"
virat - "Overdosed? What do you mean by overdosed?"
v - "I guess this morning I gave her the wrong medication or more than required. It's all my fault"
virat - "Bhai relax"
v - "I can't. This is because of my stupid mistake. I was just so freaked out when I saw she had fallen down on the ground on top of Ma in the kitchen this morning that I don't know. I guess I rushed and just gave her the medicine I saw on the end table assuming it to be the right one"
virat - "I know how stressed you've been with Veera and the whole thing at home. Don't worry bhabhi will be alright. You stay here with her. She needs you the most right now. I'll go inform everyone and send Ma here. Jeevika bhabhi needs people besides her right now. Veera will understand"
v - "Virat do one thing. Can you please call Armaan. He's been ringing Veera's phone up for the past hour and I didn't pick it up. He's probably really worried"
virat - "I will don't worry. Buzz me up if you need something okay?"
Viren lightly smiled and went back sitting next to Jeevika. Within fifteen minutes Vanshika and Manvi came running to the room to see Viren looking at Jeevika who was still unconscious. They already were informed of what happened. Vanshika went to Jeevika's other side and slightly caressed her weak face. She looked all pale and sick. She was feeling so guilty of not having taken care of her. She knew Jeevika deserved better after all she has done for this family, and especially Viren and Veera.
vanshika - "Viren when will she wake up?"
viren - "Doctor said soon. Her vitals are still low"
vanshika - "I've never felt more guilty than this before"
Viren knew this was his fault and seeing Jeevika in that state just made him want to cry. But he couldn't he had to be strong for her.
