I saw the marriage episodes many times and finally realised what was bothering me about Zoya's actions and reactions. I will elaborate more on this. About Asad the CV's have kept him pretty consistent. I wasn't surprised with his reaction, he is like this right from the very beginning. Yes he is emotionally challenged and runs away from commitments. His father has left him scarred emotionally forever. He has never been one to give wrong notions to Zoya and then leave her high and dry. He is concerned about her, worries about her, will do anything to protect her, will never allow any harm to come to her, can't bear to see her go away, always acts like a maniac if something happens to her, loves her to death but he knows he will not marry her or admit he loves her and neither has he voluntarily or openly voiced he loves her and then went back on his words. He always maintained that distance. Yes its confusing for Zoya to understand whether he loves her or not and she wants that affirmation from him. Understandable! He has never been easy to read because he keeps everything to himself without uttering much and Zoya is just the opposite who is over articulate and all the more its difficult for her to understand him and his feelings. Moreover she has to mature a little bit more to comprehend Asad. To me Asad is clear about his feelings and stand and his character is consistent right from the beginning though he has grown a lot in his character graph with his concern, love and tolerance for Zoya and her antics.

What bugged me CV's was the slight turn you took with Zoya. All along we have seen Zoya as very direct, straight forward, vocal and coming right out what is there in her heart to out in the open without any holding back. She is very independent and sees herself equal to men and acts like one as well, I mean being equal to men. She is very forward and protects herself from this world with her buddy, pepper spray and karate chops. Not once we see her as flirtatious or being coy. She is a total Tomboy. And with these traits when compared on Friday lies the core of my uneasiness. Zoya who has never been coy and a flirt was shown as one in this marriage episode pressurising Asad in accepting the engagement or pushing him to accept this almost at the threat of public exposure.

I love the 'Bolna halke' episode not only for their acting prowess and romance but also for the character consistency and keeping them in their boundaries of their nature and habit. Asad was brutally honest about his feelings and love right from the song to his confession and what I loved about Zoya was her innocence and naivete in the entire episode right from the song to answering Asad's questions. She was an open book with no artifice in her character even when she spoke about her dimples in that episode. It was so cute to see that childish attitude. Even later when she did all the tricks to make Asad confess about that night she was that innocent girl trying to dance outside Asad's room and then jubilate to know that Asad remembers and chide herself as well. She is definition of 'innocence'. She is a tomboy with no flirtation or coquettish attitude but for the 1st time I saw her in the party where she was trying to be coy and flirty with her batting her eyes at him and that made me a little edgy. I am not saying she shouldn't have, one time its funny, but if you think from her character's POV she is a straight shooter instead of trying to get her way through some crafty means.

2ndly she uses these strangers to get to him, trying to push him into accepting the engagement almost at the point of threatening to spill the beans, that again made me feel odd trying to think what and why she was doing it. Why did she think that Asad would accept the engagement if she announced it to the world! I found I couldn't relate to her at all. Moreover what exactly was she trying to make Asad understand whole evening? Did she comprehend it herself in the first place? And if Asad understood what would she have done? She didn't realize how awkward it would have been if the news spread and when Asad is saying NO to it while she is revelling in the engagement.

3rdly, she is so confused about her feelings. If Asad is complicated then she is utterly confused. CV's you better give a good introspection from her side. Its not only important what Asad wants but also what does Zoya want? If Asad had said he accepts the engagement and its not fake then what would she have done? Happily called herself engaged or would she have backed out? She gets cold feet about engagement then what will she do about marriage? She will just go with the flow if Asad agrees to it? What is her opinion? What does she feel? Its very important that you show this perspective. Its clear that if Asad is emotionally challenged then so is she. These 3 factors kept me from enjoying the Friday episodes. Again character consistency is very important to me to relate to the characters and I couldn't relate to Zoya.

Again my 2 cents! No intention of bashing any character but just voicing what I felt.
