Past in RED

Her eyes blank by hearing every word from Maan. She knew tat the day when Maan had accused her she had ran behind to bring him back but than she was blank. The thought tat she was sleeping for years was actually shaking her from within. Her eye rested on the little joy tat was playing with her cute doll just the way she used to do when she was a kid. Everyone seated there were just trying to gauze her expressions but there was none. Her eyes accusing Maan but they also had the pain tat she was always left alone like those 7 years tat she had lived and now counting these 3 years of misery she would just burst out with pain. She looked at Maan while his lips briefed her the entire incident from the accident till her delivery, the way she was fighting and everything but still she knew tat he was hiding something. She could read his eyes when he told tat he was there with her all the time but she knew the way everyone looked at her. Her own parents and Yash who was present there were hesitated to meet her eyes. She looked at Maan once again and he softly said trying so tat she trusts his words.

Maan: Nahi Mishti, I was all the while with you. I know I was wrong but when I realized I could not forgive myself but trust me Mishty, everyone was with me and they did not let me leave your side. See na.. aaj bhi sab yahi hain.

Geet: I can see it Maan.. I can see and feel Mr. Khuranna.

Her eyes met Vicky's while Maan looked at her with pain when Mehar came and jumped into his lap kissing him. Geet looked at her while her heart swelled with the happiness seeing her baby showering so much love on her Maan just the way she does. She looked at him and next second her hand grabbed Maan's hand and asked him to swear on Mehar.

Geet: ab tho jhoot nahi bol sakthe ho na. Sach kya hain Maan.. I want to the entire truth tat is related to me.. Everything tat I missed in this 3 years.

He looked at her while she held his hand on Mehar's head. She by now had understood tat only Mehar could make him say the truth.

Vicky: He deserved wat he got Geet. He deserved every bit of the punishment.

Her eyes spitted fire hearing every word tat left Vicky's mouth. The way they dumped him, the way they treated him and the way they snatched his daughter from him by making him to sign those legal papers snatching all rights he had on her and Mehar. She could not fathom tat the reality and the words while his tears proved the pain tat he had been given by everyone and her hand reddened Vicky's cheeks not once but twice. There was complete silence seeing the anger tat she was spitting while she held his collar shaking him.

Geet: how dare you.. tumari himmat kaisi hui mere Maan ko punish karne.. no one.. dare anyone says or punish him.. mere guneghaar hain woh and only I have the right to punish or kill.

Her each word was clear with anger and pain. she was always clear since her childhood tat none can punish Maan for hurting her and tats why she had kept the reason of 7 years separation hidden from everyone but she had broken when Vicky forced her but tat was not meant tat anyone can punish him. She looked from Vicky to Yash and than her anger raised while Mehar hid in Maan getting scared. He tried to calm her down but before he could stop her, she was all holding Yash by his collar.

Geet: Yash Handa.. who the hell do you think tat you are. How dare you do tat. aapki himmat kaisi hui mere Maan ko haath lagane ki.

Yash was quite as he himself had never seen his small sister like this. Though he had heard about her college incident but when she was with family, she was sober but right now, she was not less than an injured tigress. Geet pushed Yash looking at the others who sat there seeing her but before she could say anything, her eyes saw the way Mehar was looking at her or say peeking from Maan's arms. Her eyes said how scared she was but something clicked inside her mind and heart. She closed her eyes trying to remember any moment with Mehar but she could only see her dancing and playing like a small kid with her. She opened her eyes and looked at Maan was who was cradling Mehar. His eyes met her but the moment they met he averted them focusing on Mehar who was scared. She walked slowly towards him while he knew she had read him. He called Pari asking her to bring something for Mehar as she may be hungry but Geet stood blocking his sight looking at him with pain.

Geet: Aage kya hua Maan.

Maan looked at her, his heart died the moment he heard. He had been dying to hear her since long and when she was back she was quite for last 10 days but today she not only spoke but her anger, her pain and everything tat was deep was coming straight to him.

Maan: Kuch nahi Mishty. Tat was it, you gave birth to Mehar when you were in coma and than it took almost 2 years for you to be normal.

Geet: Phir why I feel tat I played with her Maan. You say I was in coma than why does my heart says tat I was with her, why do I feel tat I was with her and you.

Maan: you were na Mishti, tum tho humare saath yahi thi na.

Geet: Woh badi kaise hui Maan. who fed her as I know these so called family ne tho tumhe uske paas bhi aane nahi diya. M I right Maan. Kaun tha iske paas.

He looked at her and he knew tat she would not stay without knowing the rest but how could he tell her wat he was hiding and had buried deep inside his heart.

Maan: Nahi Mishti.. there's nothing like tat. I know they made me sign those legal papers but once I told them and made them understand tat I was wrong and all tat happened they forgave me Mishti. Tum jaanthi ho na tat they can never stay without me. Hain na Dad.

Maan pleaded his Dad and others to say yes but seeing her eyes spitting anger, they could not say a word too. They knew tat hiding was not the solution but how could they tell when they themselves had died seeing it.

Vicky: You almost killed Mehar, Geet..You tried to kill your own baby, Geet.

His words echoed in the entire room while Vicky eyed Pari to take Mehar away from them. Maan looked at Geet while her eyes rested on Maan who had tears in them.

Vicky: Sun sakthi ho.. do you want to know wat happened after you gave birth to Mehar. Wat happened after I forced your Maan to sign those papers.

Maan: Shut up Vicky.. just shut up.

Maan yelled at Vicky seeing his Mishti numb. Her tears dried while she looked at Maan with blank expressions. He ran to just feel a numb lifeless Geet.

Maan: Mishti.. there's nothing like tat.. See.. he is lying. You know na Mishti can never do tat..plesae Mishti.. speak up.. aisa kuch nahi kiya tumne.

Geet: how could I Maan.. how could i.

Maan cupped her face placing kisses all over her.

Maan: No Mishti.. you did not. he is just lying. Tum tho coma mein thi na.. than how can you do tat.

Geet: She was your love Maan..Mere Maan ka pyar tha na.. how could i.

Maan: Nahi Mishti.. you did not please trust me.

She pushed him away from her screaming at him.

Geet: Wahi kiya tha Maan.. I did trust you.. but you broke it..Tumne ush Mishti ko maar diya Maan. Tumne ush pyar ko maar diya Maan.

His legs stepped backward seeing the anger the pain tat she was spitting.

Geet: Dekho Maan.. he says I tried to kill my love.. see these hands.. I can Maan.. I can feel tat.

She looked at Vicky who had tears in his eyes. she walked towards him and fell on his knees asking him to tell her the past. He pulled her on her feet and said cupping her face.

Vicky: M sorry..

Geet looked at him, her heart bleeding to just see his eyes.

Vicky: You wont be able to survive it Geet.. you wont.

Geet: I want to know Vicky.. main jaanana chahti hoon ki aakhir wat I did.

Vicky took a deep breadth while he made Geet to sit on the bed. He sat down holding her hands and Maan away from them, his heart once again bleeding to know wat he had learnt due to his their past.

Maan could not bear more and he left away from Delhi unknown to anyone. He himself did not know where he was going but he could not stay away from his Mishti and her Mehar and finally he was away. The doctors could see few improvements in Geet but nothing major. The Baby was not allowed and was kept in the incubator as to monitor and was given baby food. Few days passed and Vicky and Yash were at peace seeing Maan nowhere near the hospital and one such day the Handa's and Khuranna's got the news tat Geet ad finally opened her eyes and soon she closed them again. Doctors for a second were scared but after examining they were happy tat she was no more in coma and they sighed in relief as she was finally out of her long deep sleep. Everyone was happy and could not stop thanking the almighty for his miracle. The doctors first suggested tat once she would open her eyes again they would allow the baby near her as it was very much necessary for the baby and so as planned they followed everything.

It took another 48 hours for her to open her eyes and these hours were once again hell for everyone. They would constantly ask and inquire with doctors about Geet and they would just assure them tat she was fine and finally when she opened her eyes, she was violent screaming for Maan. Her each breadth and each word echoed calling out for Maan and the nurse who was about to bring the baby was asked to take her back. Everyone was surprised but not shocked as she had turned violent calling out for Maan. She broke and pulled all the wires tat were attached to her while her unsteady legs let her whole weakened body down the bed. The doctors and nurses rushed to hold her while the family watched standing outside the ICU. She hit and tried pushing anyone who would stop her but none could see or realize wat she was saying. Finally, they overpowered her and she was given a high dose seductive tat made her to sleep for long hours. As soon as everyone saw, her calming down he or she ran inside.

Yash: how is she?

Doctor: Can we move out.

The doctor requested all to move while he asked the nurse to monitor her sitting there itself. Everyone was scared with the fine tone tat doctor said them to move out while Vicky was getting restless. He looked at Geet and once they were out he pulled the Doctor by his hand and just shoot at him with his words.

Vicky: Wats wrong.

Doctor: Does she have any history of getting wild by any chance.

Everyone nodded NO but only Vicky nodded for an Yes.

Vicky: Yes but its not in medical terms so you won't get wat I say. Just tell me wats wrong.

Doctor: She was screaming calling out for Maan and something tat I could not pay much attention as she was wild and I needed to stop before she hurts herself.

Vicky looked at everyone and the moment they saw his eyes they realized wat was all about.

Doctor: I need to monitor and observe her but I also need Maan to be besides her when she opens her eyes again. I think it's only him would calm her down.

The doctor said while Vicky looked at Yash. Others looked at him and not knowing the game tat Vicky and Yash played asked them to get Maan only for Geet. Vicky tried his best to oppose but lastly he had to find Maan but his search and his reach was not successful none knew where Maan was gone. Yash used all his powers to get a single clue about Maan. They even asked the commissioner of Delhi to search for Maan without making it big but none could get any information on him as if he was never existed. A Day passed and there was no news about Maan and they feared tat Geet would open her eyes and finally after two days she did open only to stare at everyone. Everyone talked to her but there was no response from her side. The doctors after an observation of few hours asked the nurse to get the baby and place it near her.

Geet watched at the crying baby, her own hands turning into a fist holding the bed sheet tight in them. She tried to shut her ears and not being able to control, she sat looking at the small crawling thing next to her and next second her hands held the small life harshly above. She looked while her grip on the small baby turned hard making the baby to cry more in pain. the doctors waited to see any more response and when she kept staring at the baby they smiled a bit but the smiled was snatched seeing Geet turning violent shaking the baby with all her energy. (There was only one nurse and a doctor inside while everyone stood outside watching through the glass window) Geet smiled seeing the baby cry while her hands shook her more and next second she tried to throw the baby but the Doctor pulled the baby away from her and handed to the nurse. The baby was continuously crying while Geet she moved her eyes here and there and finally they saw a pair of scissors. She picked it panicking the doctor and before he could alert the nurse to move out with the baby she stabbed him and pushed him away bleeding. She turned to see the nurse who held the baby, her anger rose and her legs moved towards them, and before she could say anything, she grabbed the small baby by her hand pushing the nurse injuring her with the scissor. The doctor however tried his best to stop her but she was wild and would just use the scissor and next she laid the baby on bed with an evil smile, she saw the scissor than at the crying baby but before she could even take her next step she was pushed and the baby was safe in the hands of Yash. Vicky stood watching her while other scared even to move.

Yash: Pagal ho kya.. do you know wat you are doing.

Yash screamed while he handed the baby to Shika . He moved closer to Geet who looked dangerous at him and before his hand could touch her, she stabbed his hand with scissor poking it deep in his muscles. He screamed while she smiled. The Nurse who had been injured ran to call the other doctors who were shocked to see blood everywhere while she was using the scissors harshly on Yash who was trying his best to control her. he instantly asked Shikha to move out and he along with another doctors and two nurses tried to control but Geet was all wild not ready to leave Yash. She pulled Yash to a corner and gave cuts to all is arms but soon the doctors were successful to get him out of her grip but than she turned more violent throwing everything tat came in her hand. One of the doctors moved closer and not able to control her he screamed at Vicky and Yash who stood watching.

Doctor: Where is Maan? Did not I say tat the moment she opens her eyes Maan Singh Khuranna should be besides her.

The doctor just finished his sentence but the moment he finished he felt a sharp pain in his hand and next he saw his hand bleeding and felt a push. Others tried to stable him and when he was the sight tat, they saw was more dangerous than wat they had just faced. They could not believe nor their eyes. Geet was sitting and smiling looking at the blood tat was dripping from her one hand while the other hand holding the scissor and stabbing herself. She looked calmed seeing it but there was no pain in her and next moment she ran pushing everyone holding the knife in her hand. Everyone got scared seeing her in such condition while she hurt anyone who blocked her way. She ran while the few other hospital staff along with two doctors ran to hold her but she was fast enough to hide.

She hid herself in a corner where she could hear voices who spoke something. Her ears sharp enough to hear the conversation and the name they had on their lips and next Mohinder was pushed by her who hit his head hard on the wall making him unconscious. Dadima Priya and Rano who had the baby and was crying looked at her in fear while she looked at them as if she would kill. Her eyes rested on the moving creature in Rano's hands and the sharp cry made her to get wild. She jumped in front of them but before she could hurt or do anything, the ward boys pulled her back and at an instant the doctors pricked her with the syringe making her sleep. Their life had changed from bad to worse and there was no clue of wat was happening.

Geet 's eyes cried hearing the torture she had given to her own people. She started to hate knowing tat she was about to harm her baby. Her eyes stared at Maan who was all quite. He saw her and before she could question him he stood to walk out but her words stopped him.

Geet: Where were you Maan.. when you knew tat I needed you. When you knew tat baby needs you.. kaha gaye the.. ya pir ab bhi you think I betrayed you Maan.. yah yeh soch thi ki she was not yours.

His heart pained with the ache tat her words gave him but he did not turn and just said.

Maan: Zindagi mein bahut gunaah kiya hain Mishti aur ush gunaah ki saaza sirf tumhe milti rahi aur ab tumare saath saath Mehar ko bhi aur chah kar bhi I can never forgive myself. I was broken and dead pir bhi wapas aana chaha.. aane bhi laga par nahi aa paaye.. nahi aa paye tumare liye and jab wapas aaya bahut der ho juki thi, sab kuch apne haatho barbaad hua tha.

He slowly opened his eyes just to have a faint vision of a place tat was dull. He looked around and could only see shabby white walls while his head pained and body numb. He could hear the faint voice of the doctor who was checking his pulse rate and asking him something.

Doctor: How do you feel now.

Maan looked at the doctor while he kept asking him questions.

Maan: where m i.. how could I come here.

Doctor: Relax Mr. you are not well and any stress would lead to more damage.

Maan just pushed the doctor and pulled all the wires and pipes tat were attached to his body. He stood up only to fall back on the bed while the Nurse and Doctor ran to support him.

Doctor: Dekhiye.. you are not in state to even stand and right now as a doctor I warn you from moving.

Maan (pushing) : Nahi , I cant.. mujhe meri Mishti ke paas jana hain.. she needs me.. my daughter needs me.

Maan kept screaming while the doctor tried his best to calm him down and finally he was given a sleeping dose. After around 8 hours, Maan once again opened his eyes with a heavy pain in his body. The nurse ran to call the doctor and once he was there, he checked Maan and sat next to him.

Doctor: Dekhiye you are severely injured and I need to inform you family. so kindly tell us something about yourself.

His heart pained hearing the doctor, how could he say tat he had everyone but still he was lonely.

Maan: how did I come here.

Doctor: Its more than 20 days you are here. Tumhe yaha koi gaon ke log laaye the. You were severely injured aur jish halat mein tum yaha laaye gaye the , hum eek baar socha tat you would never make through par shayad you had tat will power.

Maan: Kya hua tha.. how can you say I was injured.

Doctor: The villagers just told me tat you were laying all bleeding in a deserted place.. it was some jungle. You had a severe injury in your head. Shayad kisi baari jeez se mara gaya tha tumhe.

Maan looked at the doctor and tried to remember something. He slowly closed his eyes and the doctor moved out thinking tat he needed time. Maan forced his brain to rewind back and tats when he came to know wat had happened with him. He remembered tat after signing those papers he was all broken and walked out of the hospital like a dead body. He kept walking to an unknown destination and reaching far off he found himself sitting on a truck tat was moving. He did not know where he was going but just kept staring at the sky without a blink. He got down when the truck stopped and kept walking without hearing anything wat the truck driver said. He kept walking until and unless he reached the far end of the jungle. He had nowhere to go and just kept walking and walking reaching to a place where there was a small village. He looked around while the people looked at him with worry. He was all worn out and looked like a corpse who had no life but before he could say anything, he fell down hitting his head a bit on the stone. The villagers panicked and took him inside one of the house who treated him and he was awake within a day. He looked around and than the villagers offered him some food and water. They forced him to have saying tat he was very weak and asked him to live with them for few days so tat he would be strong enough to go. Maan worked hard for them and did all their hard work without s minute sleep. He even avoided to have any meals and just stayed on water. 5 days had passed by and he decided to go back to his Mishti but his luck was not on his side. He was still weak but he walked back from the jungle only to have his death coming closer. He was not scared seeing the death who is the form of Arjun but he was afraid tat would he able to fight the destiny tat had its evil eyes on him. Would he fight the goons tat he had bought with him. He gathered all his courage and slowly walked but Arjun pulled him with a jerk.

Maan: abhi nahi Arjun.. I need to go.

Arjun: give me Sameera back.

Maan: tat can never happen not in this life.

Arjun: You don't seem to be strong enough to fight Maan Singh Khuranna so better say where is Sameera.

Maan smirked at him.

Maan: where she has to be. Uski sahi jagah.

Maan walked saying but was pushed down on the ground on his stomach. He turned swiftly to see him surrounded by all Arjun's mens while Arjun laughing at him.

Maan: Itne darrte ho hare hue Maan Singh Khuranna se.

Arjun: Its smartness and Arjun Singhania never lets his enemy to win so seedhe tarike se bol do Sameera kaha hain.

Maan was adamant tat he would not speak a word and kept his mouth shut. He got up to stand only to be hit by Arjun followed by others while they Arjun continued to ask his about Sameera. Maan tried to fight each and everyone but owing to his weakness he was not able to even stand properly on his legs while they kept hitting him with their weapons. Arjun held Maan by his neck.

Arjun: Last time m asking you Maan.. meri behan Sameera kaha hain.

Maan smiled looking at Arjun and next second Arjun hit him hard with an iron rod just not once but twice on his head making him, bleed to death still Maan had a smile on his face.

Maan: and when I opened my eyes I came to know tat I was sleeping for more than 20 days Mishti.. days tat took everything away from me. Nahi jaantha ki main kaise zinda hoon par ab ish zindagi se thaq juka hoon.

Geet looked at him with questions in his eyes tat he feared to answer.

Geet: Where is Sameera Maan?

Everyone were shocked to hear wat he said. Geet's questioned made them to think tat how could they miss this. How could they not know where Sameera Singhania was. Maan tried to walk away when she repeated the same question.

Geet: Where is she Maan.. kyu nahi bataya Arjun ko.. agar bata diya hota tho.

Maan: Nahi bataya.. aur nahi kabhi batunga. And even if I had told him he would have killed me and haan yeh mat bhoolna ki Maan Singh Khuranna haar juka tha as the day when he came back to Delhi he did not know where his wife was. did not have any information about his wife and nor was he allowed to meet his daughter. Jaanthi ho.. Maan Singh Khuranna took whole 6 months to get a bit of information about his wife. 6 months he took to get a glimpse of his daughter. Sach kehta hain Vicky, Mishti tat I don't deserve you all par phir bhi maine dhoondh liya but it took another 1 year to bring tat Maan Singh Khuranna back in me.. to bring tat Maan Singh Khuranna by killing tat broken Maan in him. it took me years to bring you and your Mehar back to me aur ab aur nahi.. Jhoot ki zindagi jeeta aaya hoon.. apni Mishti aur Mehar ko pane ke liye har woh gunaah kiya maine tat I would never do. Vicky and Yash ne tho law ke limits mein reh kar mera samna kiya just to save you but me.. Maan Singh Khuranna almost killed his own lawyer to bring you back. Jaanthi bhi ho ki maine kya kiya hain.

Everyone looked back at him with questions where he gave a smile tat was not a smile for happiness but a smile tat was killing him inside.

Maan:Apni Mishti aur Mehar ko pane ke liye maine humare lawyer ki beti aur patni ko kidnap kiya. I forced him to make papers with fake proofs saying tat they forced me to sign those papers when I was not in my senses. Proving tat they used my broken state to take everything from me aur jab Mr. Agrawal ready nahi hua.. I tortured him so much saying tat I will kill his family. Jaanthi ho.. maine Yash aur Vicky ko yeh mehsoos bhi hone diya tat I was planning all this and the day when they came to know it was much late. Zindagi mein sirf gunaah kiye hain maine.

Vicky: and for this reasons you kept me busy with tat deal without interfering in it Mr. Khuranna.

Maan smirked hearing him : yes and you fool thought tat it was a project tat would fetch KC the most but you are still unaware tat the project itself is a fake Vicky.. Koi Mr. Grewal nahi hain.. it was all tat was planned by me to keep you away from Geet and Mehar aur Yash, he was not easy to deal with. I had to make him busy with all fraud money deals in their business where he would just deal with the person trying to find who was playing with Handa's.

Vicky: how low will you fall Maan Singh Khuranna.

Maan: aur girne ki aas bhi nahi hain Vicky. she is all here with you all.. jinn liya tha maine aur meri buri kismet ne ushe par ushi kismet se wapas laa diya maine and now its time tat I give you all your happiness. She is all yours.

Maan turned and his eyes fell on his Dad and Dadima who stood with tears.

Dadima: Maan..

Maan: Nahi Dadima.. not today. I was never good in relations but still you trusted me but now I don't trust myself anymore. I can't let my evil to harm her.

Raj: Maan .. tum yeh.

Maan: I love her Dad but my love is cursed and this curse will all be with me in my entire life. Jeena chahta hoon main par aise gunaaho ke baad jeene ka mann nahi karta. Kash I was never meant to be in her life.

He turned again to see Geet who sat numb with her eyes staring at him. He walked near and held her hands in his bending on his knees.

Maan: I know tat you will hate yourself but ek baar apne Maan ki baatn maanlogi. You never did anything wrong Mishti and will never do.. so whatever you learnt today just forget it as a bad dream a dream tat never existed in your life. Ushe tumari zarrurat hain.. she needs you.. Your Mehar needs you more than your Maan. She has been waiting for her Mumma to love her… sleep on you seeking the warmth tat she missed.. so please.

He kissed her forehead and walked off leaving everyone in his or her own world. He knew tat he needed time so Geet needed but he did not knew tat geet needed him.
