Khushi's POV

I wanted to die, just simply die. How come he was there? Payal told me HE was Akash's cousin-brother. I mouthed a 'F*ck' to Payal which didn't go unnoticed by Arnav jee. The 'jee' freaked me out then but I didn't like to call him just by his name for no reason at all.

I told Payal that he is the Laadgorvernor, my boss. She hit my head playfully thinking that things between us would be normal. Well I certainly doubted that! They all sat down, I talked to my to-be-jeeju. He was the best guy I had ever known. Our bonding became stronger just in a few hours.

All through the dinner Arnav jee was staring at me, in anger or not I didn't know but it was making uncomfortable. His sister Anjali was so nice; I doubted that he was her brother. They were like chalk and cheese. She was so calm and friendly. Their Nani seemed to like me a lot. She kept mentioning what a sweet girl I am again and again.

I was ignoring Arnav jee as if he wasn't there in that room. I didn't even talk to him. Soon Nani jee and Dadi started to talking about dates, the special date Payal and Akash would get married. Both the families loved each-other and since Nani jee and Dadi were good old friends there weren't any questions.

"I'll go get the sweet's thaal from our poolside." Anjali jee said getting up.

"No, Anjali beta you should stay here Khushi can get it." amma said.

I didn't want to go alone anywhere because what if he had followed me?Without any option left I got up and went towards the direction I was told to.

I saw the thaal at the table; I had to admit they did have a beautiful house. But this room was so grey and just so depressing. I ignored this thought when suddenly I felt his presence. I turned around slowly to see him.

'Bloody hell.' I said to myself. and bit my lower lip/

"I wonder, Khushi is there the slightest possibility of my having your complete attention at all this evening?" His tone was dry; his deep voice was giving me weird thoughts. A faint flush of heat sweeping along my cheekbones.

"I was... Was there something you...I didn't hear..?" I stammered having no idea what I had just said. But I knew it didn't make any sense.

"This is something ... that seems to be happening quite a lot just lately. I'd like to know just what has been wrong with you these past few hours. You talk a lot but you seem to maintain quite right now." He said and his arms folded on his chest.

"What do you want me to do? Work for you here in your house as well?" I said gathering up some courage.

"No" He whispered.

I flicked my tongue nervously over my dry lips.

"I have to go every body must be waiting." I said and just took a run for it.

All the dates were set. Everything had to be done in a week because Akash had to go to America and it had been decided that Payal will go too. With that we bid our good-byes and left off to home.

We got home and I quickly got into my room. I was just tired and Arnav Singh Raizada was soon to be my relative...I simply couldn't digest that so quickly. I was about to go outside to go and make myself tea but then I heard Dadi talking..

"Arnav beta seems so nice. Devyani (Nani) also liked Khushi a lot so why not get them together as well, on the same dates? I even talked to Devyani she was happy with Khushi. I just had to ask you Garima, did you like Arnav?" I heard them say. My world had shaken. I stood there forzen. NO! JUST NO! My head screamed but my heart was beating fast as if trying to win the race with my brain.

"I love your idea. It would be so good if both our daughters would go to the Raizada house." Amma said, excitement was evident in her voice.

This was wrong, just VERY wrong. I very well know that the love of his life is Lavanya. Not me. Its been like 4 days I've met him but just no! Anybody but him; I'd go and jump off a cliff but marry that Laadgorvernor.

"Just a confirmation from Devyani and then we'll talk to Khushi about it." I heard Dadi continue.

Ha! That confirmation is never coming, because he can never be mine. I was relieved but then in my heart I felt something weird. My words struck me, Mine? Mine? ASR Mine? Just Weird!

Raizada Mansion

"Anjali did you like Khushi?" Nani asked Anjali as they both were in the kitchen.

"Yes Nani. She's such a lovely and a beautiful girl. I wish I had a sister like her." Anjali said dreamily.

"Well, we can make her our daughter-in-law?" Nani said looking at Anjali.

"What? Really Nani?" Anjali said in excitement.

"Yes I was thinking to choose her for our Chote. They are such nice people and I've known Devi (Dadi) since we were in school. And I know they are lovely people. Asay log bohat kam miltay hain." Nani said.

"I know Nani. I loved how Khushi jee just blended in with us with in a matter of hours. But Chote?" Anjali sighed. Arnav would never agree.

"Wait let us talk to him." Nani said.

Nani jee old Hp to go call Arnav. He came and sat down near Anjali.

"Chote we had to talk to you about Khushi jee." Anjali said keeping a hand on his shoulder.

"What? Khushi? What about her?" Arnav said frowning.

"Well what do you think about her?" Anjali said.

"She works in my office. And I don't know her much." Arnav said shrugging his shoulders.

"What? She works in your office?" Anjali said passing a look at Nani.

"Yes. But why are you guys asking about her?" Arnav gave a plain look.

"We want you and Khushi jee to get together. And my get together we mean 'get married'." Anjali said.

"What the..?" Arnav growled.

"Chote look, you have to get married to someone one day, let that day come already." Nani said.

"No way... I don't want to talk about marriage and with Khushi? Not happening!" Arnav said getting up.

"Why Chote? Meray liye bhi nahi?" Anjali said sadly.

"No! I can't! I am with Lavanya!" Arnav yelled and got up.

"See Anjali I told you he is with that thing. I am never going to accept Lavanya as the daughter-in-law of this house. Mark my words Chote." Nani said as she got up too and came face to face with him.

"Chote I agree with Nani." Anjali said.

"NO THAT IS NEVER HAPPENING DAMMIT." Arnav shouted and stormed out of the house.

Arnav took his car to Lavanya's house. He ringed the bell and she came out.

"Oh my god, ASR? What are you doing here at this time? Is everything alright? '-Lavanya said taking Arnav inside her house.

Arnav told Lavanya about how Khushi is Akash's sister-in-law and how Nani wants them to be together.

"What the hell? Khushi? As is your employee? But Asr? Lavanya said.

"Yes...But I've told them that I won't marry her." Arnav said sipping the glass of water.

"No! I mean ASR you will because I have a plan. You say yes for the marriage and then keep the marriage go on for 5-6 months and in the end say it didn't work out." Lavanya said smiling and pretending as if it was the most common thing to do in the world.

"What? No way." Arnav said.

"Asr? Please? And in this time we can make her look bad and make your family agree for me." Lavanya kept her hand on his shoulder.

"Fine!" Arnav said. "But just six months." He continued.
