Khushi sat on the couch with the box, her heart pounding at an unusual rate. She calmed herself by breathing in and out. She closed her eyes contemplating the smiling face of her man who had sent this for her as a surprise. If the gift can create such havoc in her brains what would happen when she meets him? She opened her eyes wide thinking of that day that moment, left hand fingers finding solace in right hand fingers by clutching so hard..

"Hey Devimayya whats happening to me? Arnavji has sent me a gift so lovingly and I am here nervous on finding a proper muhurat to open it.. Open it Khushi.."

She slowly opened the wrapping cover of the box which revealed a cute square box with colours and a greeting card on top' The envelope addressed as "To my baby Khushi" those little words made her cheeks go red to give a competition to the red strawberries. Its always a thrill to taste the nectar at the end likewise she kept the card and letter on her lap to read it at the end. The next upcoming surprise was a jewel box, she opened it with awe to find a thin silver colored chain with a heart shaped pendant. It looked heavenly when she took it out in her soft hands. Happy tears pouring out to celebrate the happiness she was inculcating with the possession of such a lovely chain from her sweet heart. From his heart to her heart closing the distance among them. Another jewel box, she wondered what it was. She was surprised to find out a ring with AK imprinted on it. She took out another box and opened to find a small crystal which had two love birds one in a cage and other outside the cage trying to unite. Was it a symbolizing something about them? Is anything bothering Arnav ji ? or something which is itching his mind and he wants to disclose it to me. Suddenly it struck her when he had told her about something which he want to convey but would do only when he meets her in person.. She felt happy for the fact that the bird was yearning to come out of the cage to join its pair. Likewise her Arnavji is desperate to come out of his own cage to join a free bird like her. She was the reason for his happiness; he might open his heart out to her one day. She thought of waiting for that day when he would share his whole life with her like how she would share with him. A tear appeared along the eyelashes but uncontrolled bliss inside.

Further she took out some papers which shook her the most. Brochures of some post graduation courses in some American universities.

" haww' Arnavji wants me to think of higher studies ?" She felt that the respect for him is quadrupled inside her. He was not like others who would want his wife sit at home and be a loyal house maker. He wanted her think of more options by utilizing it for her higher studies. Joy clouded her mind that she wanted to hug him at that instant. She went through all the brochures feeling contented. There was a gift wrapped with names "for AKash & Payal wishing you a very happy married life" from Khushi & Arnav ( Bhai & Bhabhi)' but the gift was not wrapped. She could find a cute Pair watch which he had bought as a present for Payal and AKash marriage.. She liked his idea of presenting them a gift from both of them together.

"Hey Devimayya.. ye Arnavji bhi na' He didn't tell me that he did such a cute gesture for me. How cute we both look na? ooops.. sorry I don't mean to self praise our Jodi but we both do look cute together.."Any other materialistic gift wouldn't have given so much smile and happiness to her. She kissed his pic in the frame and hugged as if she had got him to hug not able to move aside even for a second.

When I think of all we have of everything we share, how we blend so well together and care for each other, I find my soul is filled with LOVE as its never been, for our relationship is so perfect, I often think it's a dream'..

Though we converse a lot through the phone its always exciting and pleasurable to write letters for your loved ones. I used to write many letters when I was a child to all my friends and my cousins. Now I don't even get time to read my mails. Time has really changed people and we have distanced ourselves with our close relations. I didn't expect Abhay would visit India . So I had little time in buying you some gifts. I have kept one ring and chain with heart pendant. I don't know how you take it but I feel for calling you as my wife I had to have a right on you. I sent you the ring as our engagement ring and that chain to regard you as my wife. I am not sure we would have a proper engagement before marriage as my arrival would be nearing to the wedding date. So thought of giving my wife her engagement ring and I didn't want anyone to know abt this.I have also made a similar one and worn on my finger. The day we meet I would wish we exchange them. (Khushi felt surprised on his idea of exchanging rings and felt proud that Arnavji could understand her feelings. ) And the chain as my wife will have her mangalsutr on the day of wedding but this I would consider as the nuptial thread which would bind our lives.This would remain close to your heart like I would remain in you forever' Hope you like it. (Khushi was extremely happy that she started crying and kissed the chain keeping near her heart. She immediately wore around her neck closing her eyes thinking of him who would be hers forever. She never thought he would give her such a pleasant surprise.) I know you would be shocked to see the brochures of those courses. Khushi I don't know about your ideas but I want you to decide independently and I assure you that I would be with you in all your endeavors. If you wish to study I am very happy to make you join in some universities. If you wish to look out for a job I would help you as well. You are free to take decisions in Our life. I know I was a bit angry in talking to you about Lavanya's matter but there is nothing that I would restrict you to be bound in my limitations. Sorry if I had hurt you in any way.

I had bought a gift for Payal and Akash. As it is we their bhai and bhabhi so I thought I could take the privilege of buying something of my choice and gifting it as our present to them. If you didn't like the watch you can buy something else for them Khushi. I know you wouldn't spare my name when you add yours' :P

Finally I had a big dilemma in gifting you something.. I thought of buying a laptop or an I PAD or something which would make us easier to chat through webcam daily. As far as I understand about my Khushi she is not the one who expects or rejoice for an expensive gifts. I would have bought such a gift to lessen your burden of visiting AKash's office but I wanted to tell you something Khushi. More than watching, the voice I hear everyday from my mobile has always attracted me. I would love to keep the thrill of meeting till I land there and meet you in person. A bliss I always experience with your calls cant be replaced by those video chats though I could see you through a medium. I do imagine how you look with what expression u talk to me.. I have seen you in one time as well but I feel our rare video chats have more thrill than chatting through video everyday. If you don't feel so, please let me know. I have already bought an IPAD for you and given it to Abhay. If you wish to see me everyday I will ask him to deliver that to you.. I didn't know whether it disappointed you or not but take this a chance for me to understand you better.

"You are right Arnavji. I would love to talk to you more and keep my anxiety and curiosity intact till the last minute rather than having a video conversation every day.. I cant agree more that you are the sweetest person I have ever heard of".

Khushi closed her eyes, tears rolling over.. what can she say about this extraordinary fiance of hers ? His gestures, innocence, his cuteness the way he guides her.. how can someone be so perfect she thought ? He also might have flaws but the ones which evidently shows off through ones actions are genuine.. It's a bondage decided by the almighty she had just accepted God's decision which always had brought happy tears on her face. She thanked Devimayya for her existence among such a blessed families.

Arnav was on a call with his director when his phone beeped. He excused himself to attend the message. He thought it was Khushi's message and a smile crept over his lips. He opened to find a new number message saying : "Hi Jiaji, this is Nandkishore Khushi's brother. I heard you wanted to talk to me.. Can you tell me your convenient time so that I can call you?" Shocked baffled as there was not even a small fraction of expectation of news from his brother in law. Now he himself wants to communicate. He smiled at the message and replied back " Thanks NK for the message. It was pleasure to receive it from my brother in law. Im in a meeting right now.. I will call you back after I finish the meet. Take care."

After a while Arnav finished his meet and got back to his team for calling his brother in law. He felt NK must have slept but wanted to give a try calling him as he might feel bad that his jijaji didn't keep up the word. He tried calling NK several times but the number didn't go through. He felt suspicious as he had dialed the same number from which he had got the message. While thinking about the number Tanish came in with Akshay , Rania and Misha.

Tanish : Boss we have to finalise the terms today or else we are going to end up in mess.

Arnav:hmm.. Tanish' give me some time.. I will get back to you..

Akshay : What happened boss? Bhabhi is not picking up the call ?

Rania : Oh God' Is she angry?

Misha : Boss did you fight with bhabhi ?

Arnav Singh Raizada gave a stare which was enough to shut up their mouth and not to poke their nose as he was in a bad mood. He wanted to know why NK had sent a message from an anonymous number and didn't bother to inform him later. As such he was busy with his office work and he had skipped calling KHushi today which added to the fury.

Akshay : Boss'. Are you ok ?

Arnav : Im fine Akshay .. I am trying to call my brother in law.. Khushi's brother.

Rania : Khushi bhabhi has a brother too ?

Tanish : now don't start your match making lecture with anyone..

Arnav : Please guys' I need a break' Can you just sit silent for a while..

Vishal : Chill boss. Here you have this Ice cold juice.. You would feel better .

Anitha : uh' The sun has started rising in west Misha!

Misha : Yea.. Vishal has started atleast worrying about some living being around him other than u'

Anita flared up hearing the sweet conversation: Will you guys stop?

Rania : Let Vishal enjoy for the moment Anita.. You should give freedom to the slaves atleast till marriage.. After marriage you can revenge for all these.

Vishal : Oye' adding fuel to the fire haan ?

Anitha : Yea.. don't you know girls are like fire ? We can destroy anything!

Tanish : Finally Anitha herself agreed that she is really like a fire. Vishal was telling me that he was jumping straight from the frying pan to fire by the decision of marrying her.. He is true in his words.

Anitha gave a cold stare at Vishal and left the cabin while Vishal had to literally beg her and follow her for the prank played by his colleagues . Arnav always enjoyed the lighter moments with his team.. He managed to produce a wide smile hearing their laughter and jokes.

Arnav finally managed to call Khushi at night to find out her reaction on the surprise gifts.

Arnav: Hey ? How are you Khushi ? How is everyone doing ?

Khushi : hmm..

Arnav : What happened?

Khushi : nothing..

Arnav : Are you ok ?

Arnav : Why are you so gloomy today Khushi ? Any problem? Didn't you '. Like what I sent you ? I mean did I do any mistake?

Khushi remained silent..

Arnav got irritated : Speak up Khushi.. Whats the problem ?

Khushi : Voh.. Arnavji' Silence is my answer..

Arnav : For what ?

Khushi : arre mere buddhu patidev' you made my mouth shut with such fabulous gifts and those cards and letters were out of the world.. You make me mesmerized with your wonderful behavior day by day..

Arnav : Patidev ? When did that get into head ?

KHushi : yea.. someone had kept a chain asking me to wear which was equalent to mangalsutr, I have worn it and I have the right to call the concerned person as my pati.. do you have any problem Sir?

Arnav ( laughing ): Crazy girl.. Seriously Khushi did you like the gifts ?What about that idea of video chats? What would you prefer ?

KHushi : What do you think Arnavji ? There was nothing in this world other than your love.. I have it as my prized possession nothing else can compete that.How could I have a different opinion when you think from my point of view every time ? I wouldn't accept that IPAD even if you had sent me.. Not because of any particular reason.. but I would be tempted to chat with you daily which disrupts your work and my studies.. These calls and occasional video chats are more than enough.

Arnav : uff' Im bowled over with your words.

Khushi : You really surprised me with that photoframe.. Thanks Arnavji'

Arnav: My pleasure..

Khushi : You know I cant even imagine such cool surprises.. I don't know what I would to surprise you..

Arnav : Khushi I don't need gifts or surprises.. I need you and your love' that's enough.

Arnav : aha.. my wife knows me better.. wow' Accha Khushi.. Before I forget .. NK had messaged me in my mobile asking me for my convenient time to talk. I replied back saying I would call him. When I called his number was not getting through. I mean some probem with that number.

Khushi : ah.. really ? I gave him your number to call.. I will do one thing Arnavji.. Let me talk to him and you can call him when ever you are free'

Arnav :hmm. Fine.. so whats the plan today ?

Khushi : Im at the dance practice for your Payal's sangeet Me and Lavanya have even geared up for a sangeet competition.. Even naniji agreed to it. All my friends including Swetha are participating..

Arnav : sigh.. I miss it badly.. I miss every occasion badly' ah' my wife and sister on one stage? I can only dream about it..

Khushi : hawww.. don't remind me Arnavji.. I wasn't ready to dance but all of them forced me to ' I didn't want to participate without you watching my dance.

Arnav: Hey that's ok dear.. I will watch it through video.. Don't worry since Swetha is participating Im sure Abhay would be around with the cam corder. I will get to see a clear cut video..

Khushi : Yea.. Arnavji.. it seems Abhayji liked Swetha and they are going to conduct their engagement soon after Payal's marriage.

Arnav : oh.. that idiot didn't inform me still.

Khushi : He is busy in communicating with his fianc like all his friends do..

Arnav : hmm.. yea.. I m busy with my fianc. Any problem for anyone?

Days passed.. it was the day of Sangeet. Raizadas had insisted to arrange for the sangeet at their house but Payal's father wanted to arrange it in their society hall near their house. Raizadas arrived with Abhay's family in grandeur and it was Khushi's and Payal's family who had welcomed them.

Shyam looked around the hall and appreciated the decision of Payal's father as it was really big enough to accommodate Raizadas and their relatives along with Payal's relatives and neighbours. Akash dressed up in dark blue sherwani stole glances with his would be wife Payal. Payal was dressed up in golden colour lehenga with matching jewellery.

Anjali came forward after meeting all the relatives of Payal. She went to dress up Lavanya and Madhu who were giving their performances tonight. Anjali meanwhile had a short scanning of the whole place for her sweet bhabhi Khushi who were not visible from the time they entered the place. They met Sashi , Garima and Buaji but she was still invisible.

Manorama with a disgusting and an unsatisfactory look roamed around the place. She couldn't settle herself as she felt the place was too hot for her make up to get messed up.. While touching up her make up she bumped on with the server who happened to fall down by dropping some kheer on her new designer saree specially bought for her son's sangeet. This happened after she had been purposely hinting over the saree to all the ladies present there. The kheer was on the bottom of her ankle which was not pretty visible but she made it a point to make this matter crucial. She had very less options for her plans. She immediately started shouting at the boy who dropped the kheer. This made all of the alert and they came over to watch her tantrums.

Manohar : What happened Manorama? Why are you shouting ?

Manorama : See what respect and welcome I got from my would be daughter in law's house? IS this the way to treat a mother in law?

Manohar : Its just a small mistake' Why are you creating such a big issue over it ?

Mami : I cant accept this.. Im dulha's mother. Its an insult to me.

Nani was about to hop in but Khushi came near Mami and washed her legs and cleaned her saree with water.It shocked everyone present there.

Mami : Khushi bitiya'.what are you doing ?

Khsuhi : That's ok mami. You are like my mother so no harm in cleaning a mother's leg.

Mami :Get up bitiya' Its embarrassing.

Nani : What is this Manorma? Why are you showing off yourself as a joker ? Isnt it embarrassing on accusing Payal's family infront of everyone?

Khsuhi : Nani, it was not mami's fault .Neither it was boy's fault.. Its just a slip. Mami was right.. She got her saree unnecessarily dirty..

Nani : Khushi bitiya.. Saree was not much valuable than respect towards others. She is losing dignity everyday'

Khushi : Nothing much Nani.. come on we can start our sangeet.. Its already late.. Akashji. Take nani and mami with you.. Shyam jeejaji.. can you look after the stage lightings?

She was arranging for the dance performances when Abhay came in from no where.

Abhay : hey' bhabhi.. Im all set with my cam cord..

Khushi : Yea.. I know.. Swetha is ready with the dance too..

Abhay: ah.. no.. this is mainly to shoot my bhabhi and her dance.Instructions and orders from New Jersey. I wont dare to surpass those instructions.. I have already shot this great gesture of yours.. Waiting to shoot your dance steps..

Khushi was dressed in silver colour lehenga with blue choli. Her beauty had knocked off all the spectators and now she felt a tinge of redness on her cheeks when she came to know about Arnav's plan of watching sangeet through video.It added more to her beauty. She ran to the room where Lavanya and ANjali were getting ready for the dance.

I think it's one of the best think scene in the whole update. It just shows how their relationship has progressed and how good the understand each other without haven't even meet once.

You know what i loved that they didn't feel the necessity of seeing each other via webcast and that hearing each others voice is more than just simply talking.

Nk is acting weirdly & suspiciously. let's see how he is gonna communicate with Arnav.
