His words trailed off as he switched off the table lamp and drowned into herā¦..

Mumbaiā¦
The entire family was happy to have Arjun and Riya backā¦..From their faces, all were convinced that all is well between themā¦.
As Arjun had guessed, there is a pooja arranged by his mom for their happiness and future life!
Shree was happy for his bhai and his friendā¦ā¦He couldn't have asked for moreā¦.a blissful life for them was all he wanted and here it wasā¦..
It was a full on family time, the pooja, the lunchā¦.
After that, Riya unpacked and gave all of them the gifts she had bought from Darjeelingā¦.
Sameer hadn't turned upā¦So his gift was left behindā¦..
Arjun was trying Sameer's phone for the past 1 hour but still no luckā¦.He was in ETF and Arjun knew what he had to doā¦..
Riya insisted that she would accompany himā¦So both went straight to ETF to meet Sameerā¦..

As they went into his cabin, Arjun got a call and so he gestured to both Riya and Sameer to excuse him for a few moments and went outā¦ā¦
Sameer was a little shocked to see both of them thereā¦.He knew that this meeting was unavoidable but he didn't know that it would happen so soonā¦.He had not gone to receive them in the first place fearing that he would cause an unnecessary tension situationā¦So he had backed out purposefully saying that he had some work at officeā¦..
Riya stood next to the door trying to think casually and she wanted to make things cool and normal between herself and Sameer because she knew that it would be a big relief to Arjun!
Sameer, at first stood like a total outsider but then Riya was quick to understand his hesitationā¦..she had to take the first step and break the iceā¦.and she knew what she had to doā¦
She took a deep breath and walked towards himā¦ā¦Sameer was a little confused about what to doā¦..What to talk to herā¦and also about what her mind state and attitude towards him wasā¦.
But she seemed quite determined to ease things outā¦ā¦..She spoke up "bhai.."
That addressal couldn't have sounded better to Sameerā¦.It was all that was needed perhaps for him to understand that she didn't hate him nowā¦.or rather she didn't consider him as the reason for her sister's disappearance from all their lives, yes, Sameer hated to admit that there was a possibility that his Shona was deadā¦.so he chose to think it as disappearance!
Sameer looked up at her the very next instantā¦..She continued "bhaiya,I hope you don't mind me calling that way!"
Sameer couldn't speak anything as he was at a loss for wordsā¦..but then he finally managed to speak "of course notā¦.tum, I mean aapā¦."
She cut his words short, "tum sounds better bhaiyaā¦.aap se choti hoomā¦.aisa hi rehna chahthi hoomā¦."
Sameer smiled and a silence set in without knowing what to talk furtherā¦..
Sameer broke the silence and spoke up "Reshma keā¦.[he stopped abruptly and added after a silent pause] I am sorryā¦.mujheā¦"
Riya sensed his state of mind and spoke up to help him "jo hua uss keliye aap khud ko dhosh matth dijiyeā¦.main samajh gayi hoom ke aap innocent haiā¦.shaayad Reshu di ki kismet hi kharaab thiā¦..[stops]ā¦..kaash di jald baasi na karthiā¦.agar aap keliye wait karthi toh shaayad aajā¦"
Sameer's eyes flooded with unshed tears and he couldn't respond verballyā¦..ā¦all his past memories with his shona had suddenly resurfacedā¦..their breezy fairy tale love affairā¦.their moments togetherā¦their beautiful relationshipā¦those were some of the best days of his lifeā¦...a wedding which started as just a promise or commitment but to her, it was everythingā¦ā¦.and then the weak moment when she had surrendered herself to himā¦.giving herself to him without thinking about anythingā¦She had trusted himā¦believed him to the extend of doing anything and everything for himā¦..
But little did they know that destiny had different plans for themā¦.
Then Riya broke the last piece of the secret which Sameer was yet to knowā¦..she spoke up in a lost tone, "par di kya karthi? Woh bhi majhboor thiā¦.shaayad usi ke wajeh se unnone ghar chodaā¦"
Sameer looked at Riya enquiringly as to what that majhboori wasā¦..
Riya added "kab tak sab se chupaa sakthi thi??ā¦.ek na ek din sab ke saamne aa hi jaathaā¦.phir na jaane maa aur baba ka kya haal hotaā¦.at times, I tend to thinkā¦.may be she took the right decisionā¦.though it hurts us allā¦."
Sameer had to get this straight and he needed the exact reply from herā¦."kaisi majhboori? Aur kya chupaane ki baat kar rahi ho tum Riya??
Riya looked at him slightly shockedā¦she thought he already knew itā¦.where did she guess it wrong?? Then she herself found the answer to itā¦.Arjun never spoke face to face with Sameerā¦so perhaps sameer never got to read the letter or even got to know about Reshu di's pregnancyā¦..
Sameer urged her again "bathao Riya???"
Riya stammered since she didn't know if she should tell him this nowā¦.already he was in a broken state and now thisā¦."wohā¦.actually.."
"Reshma pregnant thi Samā¦"
Arjun's voice spoke up from behind themā¦..Sameer and Riya looked to his directionā¦..Sameer was shocked beyond words could describeā¦.
That was more than what Sameer could bearā¦.he slumped onto his chair and broke down completelyā¦..he hadn't lost just his love but also his child which had taken its form inside herā¦ā¦
Riya alternated her looks between Arjun and Sameer and stepped towards Sameer to console him but Arjun stopped herā¦.may be Sameer had to break down and let out his bottled up emotionsā¦.only then would he be able to gather himself again!

They decide to leave him alone for a few minutesā¦..
They stepped out of his cabinā¦..
Shree had just entered office and waved at Riyaā¦.Arjun left Riya in his company and walked into his cabinā¦.
Riya and Shree have a small chit chat and Riya comes to know about the efforts Shree and Sameer were taking to find Reshu diā¦
Riya is more than happyā¦..just the knowledge that Shree and Sameer felt that her di was alive somewhere was giving her a new hopeā¦.a new belief that some day her di would come back and they would live happily together!
She looked towards Sameer's cabin "agar di iss duniya ke kisi bhi khone mein hai, toh woh zaroor waapas aayegiā¦kam se kam aap keliyeā¦aur aap ke pyar keliye zaroor waapas aa jaayegiā¦[she added after a pause]. She will come back jiju!"

Several miles awayā¦.ā¦Himachalā¦the same nightā¦.
Reshma: Oh god Sophi, kya kar rahi ho tum??? Kitne dher se dinner ke liye bulaa rahi hoom??? Aisa kya kar rahi ho??
Sophi: abi aayi diā¦.bas dho minuteā¦.
Reshma: agar dho minute mein nahi aayi toh sab khaana fridge mein rakhungi aur kitchen close kar dungiā¦.
Sophi closed her lap top and rushed out to the dining area "arre arre aise atyachaar matth karo yaar"
Both took their chairs and started the dinner when Sophi enquired "mitu baby so gayi kya??"
Reshma stared at her "raat ke dus bhaje hai sophiā¦.woh kab ka dinner kar ke so gayiā¦.aur main tumhe kab se bulaa rahi hoomā¦ek baat batha, aisa kya karthi rehthi ho uss laptop mein??"
Sophi: [grinning] social networking diā¦.you know kitne saare friends hai mere??ā¦.. anjaane, undekha friends ke saat chat karne mein bohat maza aathi haiā¦ā¦.aap ko bhi try karna chahiyeā¦. time pass ho jaayegaā¦..tum kaho toh ek login create kardhoom???
Reshma said in a sarcastic voice, "oh plss sophiā¦.yeh sab mujhse dhoor hi rakhnaā¦.mujhe koyi interest nahi hai!"
Sophi: arre diā¦you can catch up with your school and college friends tooā¦family ke saaā¦.
Reshma didn't allow her to continueā¦she snapped her short "tumhe jo karna hai karoā¦par mujhe baksh dho behenaā¦."
Saying that she finished her last morsel and hurried into the kitchen with her plate not turning back to Sophi's call even onceā¦..
Sophia is Reshma's colleague at the school and also her flat mateā¦ā¦Reshma, Ashmita and Sophia stay togetherā¦ā¦Reshma treats Sophia just like her little sister and Sophi also feels the same for herā¦..
