A captivating start to the FF!

Chapter#5

Khushi's POV-

Ughh... It was time for office with that stupid Laad governor. I got up lazily and got ready for office. I had to come back home early so that I could go meet Akash because his family had invited us over. I was excited to see what Akash looked like but who knew that something was up for me...Big time!

When I reached office, I got off the car, very very VERY lazily. It was my second day and I didn't want to make a bad impression. I reached the door and I was about to take the door knob when I felt someone's hand collide with mine. It was warm. I looked up and it was him. He seemed different, in a very weird way, I couldn't describe what was wrong. Either it was him or something was wrong with me. I was falling for him but I denied at that time.

"I'm going first." I heard him say.

"What? I was here first." I decided to fight.

"It's my land. It's my office. Every single thing you put your hands on is mine." He said, gritting his teeth.

"Ap ka naam tou nahi likha howa na." I said.

"What the..." He said gritting his teeth. Someday he'll break his teeth with all the clenching and gritting.

"I am your boss." He said.

"So?" I said and went inside without waiting for his response.

I went up to my cabin and sat down. It was my first day and I had misbehaved with my boss for the third time in a row. Just as I was thinking about apologizing I was disturbed by a call. It was Arnav Singh Raizada again. He called me up in his cabin. I am dead, definitely, positively dead! It was all I could think of.

I slowly started heading towards the stairs and reached his office. I saw Lavanya sitting on the table and with a flirty smile on her face. He was looking at her as if they'll just do it now. I got annoyed and knocked on the door; hard enough to let them know of my presence. Both of them quickly turned to look at me. Their expressions changed in a matter of seconds.

"Here edit these, change their design, and make them catchy. I want them done by the end of this day." He said pointing at the desk which had a pile of sheets.

"End of the day? These are more than 500 how am I supposed to.." I got cut off.

"Do it or just resign." He said while taking a deep breath as he was the most innocent being on earth. Jerk!

I saw Lavanya laughing and then getting up from the table and then kissing him on his cheek. I felt my heart burn. It was an unknown feeling then but now..

Well, editing and designing wasn't a problem for me. I started doing it. I looked at the time... it went from 1:00 pm to 3: oo pm, 4:00 to 6:00. I had finished just in time, half an hour before off time. I went up holding the pile up the stairs, they were heavy but I had no one to help me. I entered with a knock glad to see Lavanya wasn't there. It was him working on his laptop.

"Come in." he said as he typed furiously on his laptop.

I put the whole pile on his desk and said 'Done sir!'

He looked up and said- "You may leave now."

I rushed from there as soon as possible because you never knew when this guy changed his mood and started putting more work on me.

I quickly got ready as Payal kept screaming 'Hurry up! Hurry up!' every minute. She wore a sari and I was in my usual, shalwar kameez.

All of us were ready. My Dadi, Amma, Bao jee and Payal. We sat down in our car and were off to Shantivan. Shantivan was a weird name for me but by what Payal told me they did seem like peaceful people. I had been told that Dadi and Akash's Nani were good friends but had not seen each-other in years. He had two cousins who lived there as well. One of them owned a business and his sister was a sweet married lady. Akash's dad was usually out of country but he would be here for meeting Payal. There fore I was excited to meet this peaceful family.

We had finally reached there, after 20 minutes; it was huge house but ours wasn't bad as well. There was a lot of security. I asked Payal why that is so, she told me how his cousin is famous with his business so he needs security. I felt a weird thing inside me as if something is about to happen. Bad, is about to happen.

We were warmly welcomed my Akash's mom, Manorama mami and Anjali. They seemed sweet. We sat down and then suddenly I hear my Dadi scream 'Devi!' and she got up and hugged a woman. Payal whispered to me 'she is Nani jee'

I got up in courtesy and then my I saw a man come down stairs.

It was the same guy who passed a smile at me in the office. With glasses!

And then what really shocked me to the depths of my heart was Arnav Singh Raizada standing right beside him with his wide eyes looking at me!
