He was working on his laptop, as usual. Doing some work. Or maybe just distracting himself from all the restlessness.

He leaned back on his chair and closed his eyes…..

And couldn't help but smile at what just appeared in that short period of blink…..

Her smile….

That's all he saw before he opened his eyes again…..

He looked at the time.

She should be home by now. He thought……

He walked to his cupboard and looked at his clothes….

Why was he so worried about what he was going to wear when he wasn't even sure if she would come…..

Regardless, he decided to get ready.

For her.

He put on his vest and started buttoning it…..

But he paused….

His hands stayed on that top button…

Not letting him go beyond that.

His thoughts wouldn't let him….

I wonder what she thought about it…

I hope she liked it….

Would she come?

He didn't know.

Should I call her and ask?

No, it's her decision.

I will not call her. I will let her decide on her own….

I hope she doesn't get more upset….

Would she?

He didn't know anything.

All he knew that he had to just wait….

Just wait.

For her to come.

Or not.
