Episode 243 Discussion: 11th April 2013

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.
Do not litter the thread with chit-chat conversations. A little is permitted to have the friendly atmosphere, but when you feel like chatting more, it is desired you take your conversation with your buddies to alternate venues like chat clubs, pm mode etc.
Quoting Policy: It is desired that people refrain from single, double, triple and multiple quoting of posts on a repetitive basis. They can pick out the parts that they like to quote as opposed to quoting the entire post. It is often seen that we have to scroll through the pages when all they have done is quoting and more quoting with one line response to the actual post. IF has a rule that more than three times quoting is not allowed. But nowadays as people read IF posts over phone, it is preferred that people do not quote longer posts and just extract the portions of the post that they like to respond to and if they still find it relevant to their thought process then get the entire quoted text.

Episode 243 Discussion - EOD summary

Crazy RK continues expressing his love and obsession for Madhu. Holds her Hostage in RK Mansion by cutting his hand with the kitchen knife.

Events of the Episode

Episode continues with Madhu fleeing from RK's room at opportune moment of RK turning away his attention over to the servant. RK is angry, panic-stricken and starts yelling Biwi. Downstairs the servant at the maindoor blocks Madhu from getting away. Risabh soon follows her and holds her. Rest the household servants, Bittuji, Dips and Sikky come to watch the commotion. RK turns around to them and asks them to leave and not watch a husband-wife's squabble as otherwise he will puncture theoi eyes. All leave.
RK and Madhu's confrontation starts. Madhu confronts him how he can call whatever he did to her as mere "Nok-jhonk" (small tiff, here and there). The unwedding, the public humiliation, the way he besought to break her heart is not a nok-jhonk that she can forget the hurts and forgive him even if he beseeches forgiveness on his knees. And on top of that, she is not seeing any remorse from him. That she is not a commercial glass piece to be broken. She is a girl whose trust, heart and self-confidence was broken.
RK agrees that he has made a mistake, had committed the wrong, and that every mistake can be forgiven, a chance given to correct it. Madhu is apalled at his choice of correcting it. She asks him, how can he correct it by forcefully bringing her home? He asks her to suggest anything that can correct all that went wrong. Madhu states that nothing can correct whatever he did, because it was not just a wrong, he had cut her into pieces. How can he correct it ? He just cannot.
But RK has answer for everything. If he cannot correct it, then he must put an end to his determination to correct it. Hahaha. He comes with a knife, hands it over to Madhu and asks her to end him, his love, his obsession and his lovestory, as he her blood in his veins, keeps calling her name. When Madhu's hands are shaking, he says, "you won't be able to do it as you are so delicate, let me do it myself". He takes the knife, holds the knife edge on to his palm and lets his blood bleed from the cut. He quotes the bleeding blood drop as his witness, his cut as the evidence of his destruction as he bleeds his love.
As Madhu tries to stop him, RK puts up a condition that he shall stop if she answers two of his questions. As to question number one, he asks if she loves him. M is not willing to answer him, but wants him to stop at his madness. RK just yells out the question to her and under the duress, Madhu answers, Yes. That she loves him. He drops the knife. Madhu goes ahead to dress the cut. Lot of blood has been bled.
RK in a deranged state, keeps looking at her in lovelorn state and asks her not to worry about the injury or blood loss because if anything happens to him, she can give him blood. And he proceeds to ask her his second question, if she loves only him and no one else. This question utterly disgusts her. She looks at him bewildered and disgusted and simply decides to walk into the mansion as RK is not in any reasonable state to be left alone. Dazed as she is with the events, she walks through RK's blood, leaving her blood-smeared footsteps on the floor. RK watches it and is happy at that kind of RK style Griha Pravesh. Madhu extremely disgusted tells RK, she is not coming back to their room and goes inside the ground floor spare rooms.
Sultan and Aryan cajole each other. Aryan promises Sultan that he will never be obstinate of asking him to take him to Madhu. They feed each other. Aryan reminds that they need to move on and will move on. (Trust me...the kid is uttering these mature dialogues, Unbelievable isn't it?).

TRP analysis for Week 14 - April 1st to 7th 2013

TRP and GRP Ratings - Week 14

The TWISTERS and NEWSMAKERS over the Charts are MEIEJ show and SET MAX and Sony Channel.

MEIEJ is only one of the weekday shows to keep itself unchanged at 2.9 while the rest of the shows fell.

In GRP charts we see that Sony's channels havs toppled Zee and Colors. SET MAX had a whopping increase of 78% from previous week with GRP point going to 218 pushing Zee and Colors down. Zee is at 185 and colors is at 156 (a 13 ans 18 and odd %age wise respectively). Even Sony has toppled Colors.

The Star is obviously SONY and MEIEJ of the Week 14 TRPs

Thanks Ananya! And just to give a visual idea of how well MB held up against the other top 10 shows as of Week 13 - take a look below. Reds shows % drop in TRPs from week 13 to week 14. Blue shows an increase in TRPs. All the top shows except for Veera and Madhubala showed a TRP drop.

Note: shows in chart are ranked as of week 13- not week 14. Which is why you see MB at 9th position, not 6th.

MAS is the acronym for Mutual Admiration Society.

It was name given by Sonu, aka Peach aka applenpeaches to the members of the people here as people by default admire writers to appreciate each other's views here; which has now over the time become the norm also. We do need to appreciate each other's views and postings to get that needed balance.

Extremist thoughts and moralizing thoughts are not welcome over this thread. It is entertainment show we are watching. The channel calls their programs as entertainment and we are watching the show. Discussions are welcome in light hearted and in realistic manner. Moral policing is not appreciated. We do not want to feel stifled into that kind of atmosphere here.

There are several other social welfare sites that are there to discuss the genuine issues. If for some reason, it is felt that social concerns have to be addressed and ethical and moral responsibility needs to be exercised for watching entertainment, then; certainly the forum is an open place to create separate ATs and build up that kind of propaganda.

Please heed to this as direct request and conditional requirement to participate in this thread. Strong words such as psychopaths unless used in show, need not be used to instigate riotous atmosphere or start sermonizing.

POINTERS for the discussions

Regulate the font size. Keep remembering that. It is really not pleasing to see big bolded letters for no special reason.
The thread becomes a mess when you give your review and do not REST for sometime until others have posted. You keep on responding as if this is a CHAT thread. Please understand, respites or reviews; once or twice are good for few pages...don't make a regular chat thread with your whining on the same point. For the online readers, the thread becomes unpleasant read
When episodic content is emotional, take a deep breath, give a good lengthy review; that acts as your vent in one single post...and make an exit to calm down your nerves if you still are possessed by only what you've seen. Like most readers, I can't take long pages of EDT, to sift through posts to see whether it was episode review, or response of respites(vents) or it was whining. Remember end of the day, we still have work to do here to keep the thread maintained.

Nok-jok. It upset Madhu as much as it upset me .. RK admitted his mistake (Thank CVs) But Madhu is in no mood to forgive and forget, most probably because RK seems to think of his "un-wedding" drama as nothing more than a simple mistake yet. He has realized neither the magnitude of his wrong doings, nor has he understood the pain he put Madhu through.. Madhu's hard hitting dialogues were too good.

That knife cutting scene was just . What was he thinking? Oh right! He wasn't thinking at all. His madness just hit new heights, his downward spiral hit an all new low. Don't ever underestimate the power of obsessive love. That was just But RK just doesn't understand that this is not how you win over someone especially Madhu. She yelled she loved RK just to stop him .. but she didn't answer him when he asked if he was the only one she loved. Wonder what RK made of that! Me thinks, he just happy to have Madhu back to focus on that issue. Madhu's expression all this time was one of shock ..She couldn't believe what RK had said and done. Nor could I to be honest. The way his character came across today was .. let's just leave it at not good.

Lo beh chala khoon e ishq .. loo chala main tabah hone .. har boond bahi gawa bahne.

Some brilliant shayari today too.

Sultan and Aryan attempt to move on. Good for them. Radhaji is back, and happy to have her bahu back till Madhu dispels her misconceptions. And she begs for forgiveness. Radhaji is sorry to have been selfish, and Madhu is upset with her for thinking about bringing Madhu back in RK's life.

im speechless, I herby declare RK as scary man now, bcos it is entertainment factor for us to see all this but the preson who deal with these kind of mad crazypeople understand how it feels, and worse part is he dont even realise his mistakes, top of that radha also favour him saying he has huge ego ,duunno what to say,

OK, first thing first, I HAD GOOSEBUMPS 😳 I won't comment if I liked it or hated it, but I had GOOSEBUMPS when RK was about to cut his hand. That scene was sheer sheer sheer brilliance👏 And the shayari from RK while cutting his hand added to the dramatic effect👍🏼 RK's dialogue, "Aankhein phod doonga.." was🤣🤣

I also loved his dialogue, "Bhagwaan ne humaare paida hone se pehle hi humaari prem kahani likh di thi"👏 Wow, toh bhagwaan manufactured two brainless people to get them together and cause World War on Earth?😆

But I loved Madhu today. She won't forgive RK because he literally ripped her apart. And this dumbo is still stuck on nok-jhonk😡

So RK basically wanted her to cut him so that she could take badla from him for ripping her??🤪🤣 Kya hoga is namoone ka?🤣🤣🤣

When RK said, "Welcome back Jungli billi", did you see that evil smirk?😲 He scared me today😳😆

Anyway, Radhaji is gonna be on Madhu's side👍🏼 I hope she knocks down some sense in RK's bhoosa bhara brain😛

From the last 4 episodes, Sultan and Aryan are trying to finish their food, finally, they achieved a breakthrough ! 👏 i feel bad for the kid, he's given lengthy dialogues and he recites them poora ratta maar ke ..

So Madhu tried to escape but failed...liked RK's aankh phodne wala dialogue..he doesn't need the audience...Madhu reminding him of all his atrocities was fab. 👏 she became the spokesperson of the audience today...He admitted that he made a mistake (was that a GIANT LEAP?🤢) but therez maafi for every mistake and he's ready for punishment...for a min. both cud not decide who will decide the punishment so it's RK as usual...he cuts his hand , blackmails Madhu in admitting that she loves him...OMG he can be this shameless 😡 Madhu's feelings came across as true but not RK's 😡 WHY RK WHY? Why did he have to ask that second question and ruin it all for them? 🤢 yest. we were discussing that he needs Radha or Madhu by his side but now i know who he ACTUALLY needs..He needs SULTAN in his life..Sultan is the REAL bitter cure of his bimari ! I always hated Sultan for intruding in their life but today, I want him to hang around Madhu so that RK gets a good dose of his own medicine...

till yest. i clinged to this hope ke he loves her and wants her back...but this is just 10% of the truth...he cannot tolerate that anyone else can enter Madhu's life...he's doing all this to keep her away from Sultan...yes, he may love her but all that is secondary..he has not moved an inch since the unwedding day 🤢 i pity him..how his expression changed in 1 sec. when Madhu confessed and he posed the 2nd question 😭 no wonder Madhu was shell shocked...what kind of symbolism is that? Madhu walking on his blood and doing her greh pravesh?

Finally Radha made an entry..itni raat ko walk karne gayi thi kya? 😡 She was elated that RK must have apologized to Madhu but no...phir se haath jodo and maafi ..RK isse zyada nahi jhuk sakta...😆 actually Radha ka dimag bhi isse zyada nahi chal sakta toh don't trouble it mataji...

precap, Madhu is not leaving RK mansion , jab tak RK ko uska 2nd jawab nahi mil jaata...Madhu plz give him the answer and free yourself.

I am pretty sure I have read or seen somewhere the tradition in some Indian cultures about the newly wed bride stepping inside the home of her husband for GP with red colored feet to mark her entrance for the first time. Does anyone know the significance of this tradition or if it signifies any permanency? Since this tradition was not followed during MB's first GP, is there any symbolism for it to be shown this time?

In another show, the newly wed marks her entrance with a handprint on the wall of the house.
