Chapter 9.
Soon after the call Khushi dialled Arnav's number to remind him about the marriage certificate. She, luckily, did not show her ego as she could only see that house and nothing more at that point of time. He had given her, his number so she quickly called him. Unfortunately, she could not reach him as his number was switched off.
She, then, remembered that he had given her his other number in case of emergency.This is emergency, she thought. She strolled through her contact list and finally found it.
"Hello, AR Fashion Lines. May I know who's speaking?" a lady on the other end picked up.
"Hi, I am Khushi," Khushi said,"Can I talk to Arnav?"
"I'm afraid you can't talk to sir. He's in an important meeting right now."
"This is important. I mean.. Er. Who are you?"
"I'm Rosy. His new PA, mam."
"So, miss Rosy. Please hand him the phone NOW!"
"I've got his strict instructions, not to hand him the phone."
"Really? You know, I can sue you now."
"And how will you do that?" Rosy, asked, her voice mixed with sugar and bitch-honey!
" I will.."
"You will? Sorry, I don't have the time now for this."
"Because you are not allowing a wife to talk to her husband!" Khushi said as that was the only thing she could think of. She emphasized more on 'wife' and 'husband'.
"WHAT!? Sir is married?"
"Of course he is."
"But still I can't.."
"Then you will face the consequences." Khushi said and cut the call.

The next moment she saw, she was standing in front of Arnav's office!
I have to go in and talk to him NOW. Otherwise, that swine Akshay will call again and again and harass me. Mister Arnav Singh Raizada, I don't care if you are in an IMPORTANT meeting right now or that Rosy is hell too bitchy, but I'll talk to you NOW.
Khushi instructed herself and got into his AR office. She saw herself in a lavishly styled office which was way too elegant. She saw the index next to the lift and went to the 23rd floor which was 'Arnav Singh's Office.'
She got off on the 23rd floor and got into the main office area. It was much more beautiful than the ground area and she wondered how Arnav managed to design this in such a less time. The walls were clad with lavender colour tiles with many many pictures hanged on them of various models in various designs. One design was traditional while most of them were either swim suits,bikinis or party wears.
Khushi strolled through the hard wooden flooring and reached the reception. She snapped at the girl sitting over there who was on the other phone.
"Excuse me?" Khushi said, politely.
The other girl kept the phone and stood up to greet Khushi. She was wearing a complete formal attire with a pencil black skirt with tucked-in white shirt with a small blazer over it. The shirt did nothing for the girl as her cleavage was seen more than anything. Khushi wondered that if she would have bent then the whole office would have got the world's best view. Khushi giggled at her own thoughts.
"Hi." the girl said,"I'm Rosy"
So Khushi realized that it was Arnav's PA. So she decided that she would not introduce herself. Also, she changed her voice by coughing profusely and said by adding word in between each cough."Uhh I Uhhh want to meet Uuuhhh Arnav."
"Oh. Sir is busy now. Do you need a medicine?"
"No thanks. Can you tell me where is his conference Uuhhh room?"
"it's there but why?" she pointed to a room in the extreme corner.
"Thanks! By the way, I'm Khushi" Khushi said and winked at her and ran right through the hall way and got in to the conference room.
She opened the room and saw that there were a lot of people in business suits sitting around a round table which were now looking at her. She then saw Arnav who was showing a presentation but he was also looking at her no in utmost shock.
Arnav got out of his reverie. Khushi smiled at everyone at walked upto Arnav and stood next to him.
"Khushi, what the hell are you doing here?" Arnav said with his temper boiling up. He still managed to smile at everybody who were looking at them with owl-eyes.
"I'm sorry. But Kavita ji's son called. You still didn't fax the marriage certificate?"
"What? I forgot actually. But.. BUT YOU CAME HERE TO TELL ME THIS?" Arnav said, his eyes actually popped out, crossing all the limits. His face showed shock and surprise with shame and embarrassment, all at once.
"Yea! What if he removed us?" Khushi said in his ears. Her voice was extremely casual, as if she was telling Arnav about her school crush.
"Who is she, Arnav?'' A man got up and asked. He was then followed by other two men who asked the same question.
"Actually she is.." Arnav tried to say something.
"His wife!" Rosy said, as she stood on the entrance.
Now there were whispers and murmurs which eventually shifted to laughters and teasings in the room. Every one looked at Arnav and Khushi with a very pleasant smile. Some guy said something in the guy next to him's ears and they both would laugh. While two other people actually winked at Arnav.
Finally a man clad in a grey suit stood up. He had a fat belly and the world's worst huge moustache.
"So? Mrs. Raizada." Everyone started laughing. He continued,"And why are you here, madam?"
"Actually," Arnav said.
"Actually, you both miss your lovey dovey times, don't you?" The fat-belly-man said and other series of laughter followed.
"No actually" Arnav again tried to say.
Other man stood up,"Of course Mister Iyer! Naya couple hai. Don't tease them."
Fat guy said, "So Mrs. Raizada, what's your name?''
"Umm.. Khushi"
"Khushi Singh Raizada. Please, this public display of affection. Not here."everyone giggled."The washroom is there!"
"M.Iyer! Please!" the second said,"Khushi and Arnav. You two make a beautiful pair. We didn't know you were married."
"Nor did I" Arnav said quite silently, looking at Khushi.
The second guy cames towards both of them and said,"I'm Jignes Mehta. I will clinch this deal only on one condition!"
"And what's that?" Arnav asked, his face was noticeably nervous.
"Cheer up child. Only if Khushi and you come to my place for dinner. "
"WHAT!?" Both of them said together.
"No whats and buts. Today at 8 at my place. OK?"
Arnav looked at Khushi and Khushi looked at Arnav. Khushi was about to say no when she saw ARnav expression. Please, let's go. I have to finalize this deal, Arnav tried to say through his eyes.
But Arnav, we are not married.
But I don't want to my first deal to be screwed. Please, Khushi. Please!
OK OK Fine.
"We'll be there, sir." Arnav said and smiled.

Arnav dressed himself in a black tuxedo suit. He kept all the buttons open & cleanly gelled his hair. He saw the time. It was 7.30. He thought of calling Khushi.
He stood in front of her room's door and remembered the morning incidence and smiled to himself as he remembered how she danced and swayed to the music.
He calmly knocked on her door.
"Khushi, are you ready?"
"One minute!" Khushi said. Within few seconds Khushi opened the door. Arnav's mouth fell open looking at Khushi.
She was wearing a transparent white colour saree with a border of black, golden and pink embroidery. She kept her long locks open which were flowing with the wind. Her jhumkas were completely in sync with the saree. She kept the pallu of her saree in a stand which showed her perfectly carved tummy and waist with a small black bindi on her fore head. Khushi looked amazing would be an understatement!
