But she was sure of one thing; her love for Veer-Udayveer now- was real. She had experienced almost similar feelings around Akash, almost. But that was pale in front of the massive quantity she had in her heart now. And it was well reciprocated too. She looked at the creature standing beside her and felt her heart filling up with affection. He was her's; for life. To hold and behold. She leaned on to him and they made their way to her room.

The next day morning, a worried Giriraj arrived from Newyork. He too, like his best friend; refused to acknowledge Veer as his son without valid proof. Soon the people who were authorized to take the DNA samples arrived and took both Giriraj and 'Veer's samples.

"aap ne jaisa kaha tha maine bilkul vaisa hi kiya, Veer ka chehra banvane ke bajaye kisi aur ka banvadiya..he he he'ab police pagalon ki tarah asli 'Udayveer' ko dhoondti rahegi, aur hum maze lootenge(I did exactly as you said, now police are on a wild goose chase, and we are having fun)" Veer's neighbor told Akash on the phone.
"tum dobara mujhe phone mat karna, tumhe tumhare saare paise mil jaayenge..ab phone rakho(don't call me again, you'll get your money soon)" Akash said.
"Akash, yeh ho kya raha hai? Humari saari chaalein ulti pad rahi hain'ab DNA report positive aayi toh kya hoga(What's happening Akash, all our plans are failing, what if DNA report is positive)?" J made a face. They were holding their meeting in a secret corner of the mahal where no one would come.
"Yeh ladka..hmm yeh ladka Udayveer hoga..mujhe nahi lagta, iski nazar zaroor doulat par hai...bada aya Manyata ka pati ban kar...aisi chaal chalenge ki chaaron khane chitt ho jaayega" Akash said.
"tumhari plan kya hai? Kahin is Veer ko maarne ka irada toh nahi hai?" J asked.
"nahi mujhe toh sirf Manyata chahiye aur saath me thode se paise bhi, main us se maafi maang loonga aur woh ek baar phir mere paas aajayegi(I just want Manyata and some cash along with her, im sure she'll come back to me once I say sorry)" Akash said.
"Aur Veer sirf mera hoga" Jainandini licked her lips.

2 days passed with great difficulty and it was the D'day. The doctors had agreed to personally deliver the DNA reports home and every one waited for them with bated breath.
During these two days Manyata had been a nervous wreck and Udayveer remained constantly by her side. Unnati, like Manyata belived that Veer is indeed her long lost brother and accepted the truth easily.
At last the inspector arrived with the DNA report, followed by the doctors.
"DNA report aagayi hai, chaliye ise khol kar dekhte hai" Inspector said. Manyata's heart skipped a beat. What if it turned out to be...! She didn't want to think about it.
The inspector was taking too long to reveal the truth and Manyata felt she was the finalist of some silly reality show. The report could make or mar her future. She uttered a silent prayer to god for some miracle.
"Aur samay na lete hue, main apko batata hoon ki report kya kehti hai, yeh report kehti hai ki...." He stalled.
"kehti hai ki..." manyata repeated breathlessly.
"yeh report positive hai, that means yeh ladka Giriraj ji ka beta hai, Mubarak ho" Inspector said.
Manyata went still for a minute and then collapsed to the ground with relief, holding hands over her face. Udayveer raised her up. There were gasps and sighs of relief all around.
But one person in particular was not happy hearing this.
"YEH KAISE HO SAKTA HAI!! YEH REPORT JHOOTI HAI! ZAROOR KUCH GADBAD HAI...MAIN NAHI MAANTI IS REPORT KO" J cried out in extreme anger.
"chup ho jaayiye J, aap ko khush hona chahiye ki aap ke jijusa mil gaye aur aap hain ki inhe jhoota keh rahi hain,aap abhi is waqt apne kamre me jaayiye(Be quiet J, whom are you calling a liar? Go back to your room, now)" Komal silenced her.
After J had left, Giriraj and Brijraj both said sorry to Udayveer for doubting him earlier and praised Manyata's luck that she had got back her husband back.
"mujhe aap sabse kuch kehna hai, mujhe yeh kehna hai ki ab aap logone Udayveer ko dobara apna liya hai, is baat se main bohot khush hoon...hum dono ne faisla kiya hai ki hum dobara shaadi karenge, kya aap log hume iski ijazat denge?(im very happy that you'll have accepted Udayveer, would you permit us to get married once again)" Manyata asked the elders expectantly.
Brijraj came forward and placed his hand on his daughters head. "Manyata bete, hume aap par garv(pride) hai, aap ki shaadi dobara hogi, badi dhoom dham se hogi...poora sheher jashn(celebration) manayega...humara beta jo laut aya hai" he said with a smile towards Udayveer.
Udayveer was feeling like he was in heaven. All this seemed so surreal yet so true. Everyone took turns to hug him and bless him. He felt he was in such a moment where the ghosts of the past left him permanently and an angel stepped into his bleak life to light it up.
After discussion with the raj purohit, an auspicious date was set for their wedding. Preparations were on full swing for the grandest wedding the city had ever seen. There was just a week left for the wedding and the bride and groom were never left alone for a moment.

Manyata had sneaked out of careful eyes of her 'protectors' with great difficulty. She was going to Udayveer's room. She smiled as she thought about it. DS had issued strict orders that, till the day of wedding, the bride and groom were not supposed to meet and she was to be obeyed at any cost.
She was going through the dimly lit corridor when she felt someone pull her back; towards the store room. Before she could scream out in fear, a firm hand locked her mouth and he pulled her inside the room and closed the door.
"Manyata, tum sirf meri ho sirf meri, tum us ladke se shaadi kaise kar sakti ho?" Akash asked her.
"Akash...tum! Mujhe pata tha ki aisi harqat sirf tum hi kar sakte ho...Chee hai tum par" Manyata tried to open the door.
"tum meri nahi hui na toh kisi aur ki kabhi nahi ho sakti, maana ki mujhse choti si galti ho gayi, par ab maafi dedo aur yeh jhoota gussa khatam karo aur gale milo" Akash opened his arms.
"use tum choti si galti maante ho? tumse bada bewakoof (Fool) is duniya me koi nahi hai Akash...main toh-" she was forced to stop when Akash forcibly tried to kiss her. The self defence tactics she had learnt during college days came to her mind and she delivered Akash a soild kick in the gut, with her knees. He yelped in pain and fell back on the floor.
She opened the door some how and ran for her life like never before.

The wedding day arrived after a life time and Manyata was in her room, getting ready, when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned to see J holding a glass of juice in her hand. Manyata opened her mouth for a sharp retort but stopped when she saw that J's eyes were filled with tears. "jiji, mujhe maaf kardo, maine aaj tak jo bhi kiya galat kiya, please forgive me" Manyata hugged her and said "chal koi baat nahi, jo hua so hua..bhool ja us baat ko"
"Jiji, aap bohot thak gayi hongi, yeh juice peelo, thoda sa aaram milega...lo" J handed her the glass.
Manyata was thirsty and finished the glass in minutes. Her vision was blurring and the room was looking dark. "J...mera sar'" Manyata said holding her head.
J laughed in response and Manyata fell back knocked out; from the drug J had mixed in the drink.
J took out the burkha she had kept ready and put it on Manyata to cover her face. Two mean looking men arrived and took her out, out of the seldom used back door; face covered.
