Finishing her call with Rajji, a beaming Geet turned and hugged me tight, thanking me. Now that was fast! Here I was pondering over how to pacify my 'ghayal sherni' and Rajji's call did the magic for me. I could clearly see how much she missed her family but their deeds had forced her to kill all her emotions, but still they did reside in the interiors of her heart. Ever since I had told her about Rajji's supposed wedding she hadn't been herself, but now I could see a relief settling in.Before she gets more emotional I diverted her attention.

"Kya aaj pyaar se hi kaam chalana hoga ke khana bhi khilaogi. Tumne khana toh bana liya hein na? I inquired.

I had expected an immediate change of reaction from emotional to anger, as I had reminded her of the morning prank but to my surprise she said hitting her head.

"Haaye Babaji! Main bhi na khane ke baare mein bhool hi gayi. Main khana lagati hoon aap jaldi aayiye". Not waiting for my response she ran down towards the kitchen.

"Meri jhalli Geet!" I smiled nodding my head.

"Yeh mat khahiye isme mirchi zyaada hein." She spoke suddenly as I lifted the pasta bowl to serve myself.

"Kya! Don't tell me tumne mujhse subah ka badla lene ke liye, mere pasta mein mirchi daal di." I feigned being hurt but the next set of words made me repent my statement.

"Nahi, woh mere liye hein. Maine socha tha aaj main bhi aap ke saath pasta khaaungi issiliye isme zyaada masala daala hein. Aap ka pasta yeh hein." She said forwarding another bowl. Feeling guilty to have been troubling her since morning I thought of making up to her.

"Aaj main bhi tumharawala pasta khaaunga, hum ek saath, ek hi plate se khaayenge.' I said lifting my fork to take a bite but she held it saying.

"Nahi, nahi aap ko bahot takleef hogi, hum ek plate se hi khaayenge lekin apna apna pasta." I looked at her confused. She enlightened me.

"Aap ko bura lag raha hai na, ke subah aap ne mujhe sataya tha par main jaanti hoon, aap ne mera dhyaan batane ke liye yah sab kiya tha. Aur ab hum ek hi plate se apna respective pasta ek dusre ke haath se khaayenge." She said serving both pasta in a single plate and feeding me my pasta and gesturing me too feed her.

Everyday I was discovering a new side of My Geet!

A sudden sound of coughing broke our moment.

"Sorry to disturb you lovebirds! Lekin koi iss bhookhe pe bhi rahem kar ke, mujhe bhi khana khila de. Flight ka khana bhi koi khana hein bhala. YUCK!!!" Vicky said dramatically making his presence felt enjoying our flushed faces.

"Nautanki!" I muttered under my breath and Geet was all red with embarassement by his sudden intrusion.

Soon the whole family joined in, all faces beaming with happiness. Though it was quite an embarassing start for Geet and Vicky but I knew they will get on like house on fire. It felt like ages that the whole family was together under one roof.

My family was complete and happy. I vowed to myself that I will not let anybody ruin this happiness ever!!!

There was a small get together in the evening on occasion of Vicky's return. Shergill's, Malhotra's, Rathore's and Singhaniya's were all invited for a small family dinner. Post dinner all the men headed to our study for some serious discussion. Dadaji had called for it as he didn't want us to get into any kind of trouble and taking Rathore Uncle (Arjun's dad and Chief Justice, Delhi High Court now) and Singhaniya Uncle (Meera's dad and Commisioner of Police, New Delhi) in confidence for our future plans was very much needed.

Grabbing the first possible opportunity to talk to Singhaniya Uncle while Yash and Arjun had successfully engaged Dad in conversation with them I confided in him our next step, which for the time being I had to keep Dad oblivious of it until it is successfully implemented.

I was thankful to Uncle as he readily agreed to help us with some of his trusted officers without disclosing our involvement. Singhaniya Uncle patted my back and turning towards Yash giving him a meaningful look, and I could see the colour of Yash's face drained. Indeed his future father-in law knew his son-in-law a little too well.

Five of us had managed to come out in the adjoining terrace waiting for that one call and finally Yash got the call of our interest and he declared all was fine and as a confirmation of our plan Singhaaniya Uncle's phone buzzed reporting the emergency which we had created. He looked towards us and excused himself as he had to report to the site soon. Soon all took leave as it was late.

Finally finding the course clear Yash heaved a sigh of relief saying, "Phew! aaj toh bach gaye yaar, Sasurji ne chod diya, pata nahi next time kya hoga. Lekin jo bhi hoga dekha jaayega filhaal main jaake chain se so jaata hoon, itna kaam jo kiya hai maine."

"Aur waise bhi aaj se Dev Khanna ki neend toh kya zindagi haraam ho jaayegi."

Breakfast was a quiet affair Dadaji hadn't taken his medicine and had been reprimanded for the same by the womenfolk, Geet has gone to his room to bring them. Dad had gone out in the lawn as the gardener had requested him regarding some issue. Vicky and I strictly concentrated on our breakfast as very soon we were going to be interrogated. And it was time...

"MAAN..." Dad's voice echoed in the hall as he furiously marched towards the dinning table throwing the newspaper in front of me.

"Yeh sab kya hai Maan?" He raised his voice.

"Newspaper hai Dad." Vicky answered feigning innocence.

"VICKY... Main acchi tarah se jaanta hoon yeh sab tum logo ka kiya hai. Mujhe toh kal hi samajh jaana chahiye tha jab Yash aur Arjun office aaye the. Brij toh jail mein hai toh obiviously tum logo ka agla target Dev hi hoga, hai na? Lekin tum yeh bhool gaye ke Dev ke saath Aman ka naam juda hai, aur Aman ke naam ke saath koi khilwaad kare yeh main bilkul bardasht nahi karunga. Tumhaari himmat kaise hui yeh sab karne ki?" He blasted us.

"Relax Dad we can explain", Vicky tried to handle the situation. I knew Dad was very hurt and I didn't want to hurt him further so kept quiet.

"Relax, tum logo ko andaaza bhi hai tum logo ne kya kiya hai. Yeh sirf ek Company nahi Aman ka sapna tha, uske khoon pasine ki kamaai hein, uski izzat hai jo tum logo ne sare bazaar uchaali hai. Dekha Aparna yeh sab karne ke baad tumhaara laadla keh raha hai relax."

" Mere mare hue dost ki amaanat hai Khanna Cement." He concluded.

"Aap ke issi dost ki amaanat ko unka laadla barbaad kar raha hai. MD hone ki aadh mein ussi Company ki jadh khokhli kar raha hai.Maine Aman uncle ki amaanat ko barbaad nahi, balke bachaya hai. Unki izzat uchaali nahi hai balke unka naam badnaam hone se bachaya hai."

"Dev Khanna, Khanna Cement ka MD apni hi Company mein chori karta hai, jiss godown mein humne accident karwaaya hai wahan uss Dev ne apni hi company se churayi hui cement black karne ke liye hoard ki thi. Kabhi aap ne socha Khanna Cement ka naam black marketting ke case mein uchalta toh kya hota. Maine Khanna Cement mein se Dev ko nikaal ke bahar phekne ke liye yeh sab kiya hai Dad." I finally revealed all of them with the harsh facts that they all were oblivious to.

"Aur tumne mujhe batane ki zaroorat nahi samjhi, badla lene ke liye itna bada kadam bina kisi ko bataye uthaaya. Ek baar bhi tumne Pari ki baare mein nahi socha, usse kaisa lagega?"

"Mujhe kaisa lagna chahiye Dad, jab mujhe pata chala ke mera apna bada bhai hamaare Papa ka sapna barbaad kar raha hai, apne hi ghar mei chori kar raha hai, Company ke account mein frauds karta hai. Mujhe bahot bura laga aur issiliye maine Maan Veerji ka saath diya. Unhone mujhe bata kar hi yeh sab kiya hai. Aur main apne Papa ka sapna aur izzat bachane ke liye kuch bhi kar sakti hoon. Apne bhai ke khilaaf bhi jaa sakti hoon. Maine Nani se bhi baat kar li hai aur unhone bhi permission de di hai hume. Nani ko Veerji pe poora bharosa hein." Pari declared as she walked in the house.

"Jab tum logo ne sab kuch soch hi liya hai, toh mere bol ne ka kya matlab reh jaata hai. Maan ko badla lena hai, tumhe apne Papa ka sapna bachana hai. Iss sab mein main kaha hoon." Dad was truly hurt by all the happenings. There was complete silence in the hall but a painful scream of Dadaji cut through it as he fell down from his chair screaming Geet's name.

Suddenly the atmosphere of our house had become heavy, though the Doctor had indicated that it was truly a positive sign as Dadaji had spoken something after years but in our argument in the hall, we all except Dadaji had failed to notice that Geet, who was returning with Dadaji's medicines had witnessed the whole scene and feeling guilty of solely being responsible for everything she ran towards our room weeping when Dadaji had called out to her but had lost his balance and fell down. But an instant joy filled over as Dadaji slowly called out to Geet and also completed his phrase fumbling.

"Geeet main teeek hu." Geet started crying when Dad walked up to her and assured her that she was not responsible for all this but somewhere this sudden news had come as a shocker to him and he overreacted.

"Mere hi apne naak ke neeche yeh sab ho raha tha aur main jaan hi nahi paaya, lekin Maan ne sahi waqt pe mujhe ehsaas karwaaya ke Aman ki Company ko sabse bada khatra Dev se hi hai. Main thoda zyaada hi emotional ho gaya tha issiliye overreact kar gaya. Lekin ab waqt aa gaya hein ke main apni zimmedaari (responsibility), jo Aman ne mujhe di thi usse nibhaaun aur Dev ke saare haque usse cheen loon." He spoke thereby agreeing to our plan ahead.

It was indeed time for Dev Khanna's pack up!!!

Sitting in the study we chalked out all the pros and cons before going for the final kill. Dadaji, Shergill Uncle and Dad were a great help. Arjun was handling the legal aspect, Yash was dealing with with the board of directors, Vicky and Aadi were collecting proofs so tomorrow nothing would go wrong.

Finally all set and two of our enemies safe in the police custody totally unaware of what would brace them tomorrow when they walk out in our arena.

POLICE STATION

"Thank God! Pari you came, I have been detained here since yesterday. Mom is also out of town, these people aren't cooperating and my lawyer isn't receiving my calls." Dev exclaimed, his frustration and helplessness clearly evident.

"Thats because your lawyer is facing an inquiry, he cannot practice until the verdict is announced and will be barred from this profession if found guilty Mr Khanna. So here I am on behalf of my client Miss Pari Khanna, as the new legal adviser of Khanna Cement." Arjun updated Dev with the recent facts.

Dev looked perplexed towards Pari demanding an answer to which Pari spoke out finally, "Nani and Rajiv Uncle has appointed him. Aap inn saare papers ko jaldi sign kar lijiye."

"Yeh sab kaise papers hai aur tumne mujhse poochne ki zaroorat bhi nahi samjhi itna bada decision lene se pehle, yeh mat bhulo ke main Khanna Cements ka MD hoon." Dev burst out on her. A night at the police station had really taken a toll on him.

"Haan jaanti hoon , woh MD jo iss waqt police custody mein hai, hamaari Company ki itni badnaami ho rahi bahar, aur aise waqt mein aap yeh sab bol rahe hai. And if you have forgotten then let me remind you Mr Dev Khanna ke Papa ki will ke hisaab se Nani aur Rajiv Uncle ke paas powers hai ke emergency mein woh humse bina pooche koi bhi decision le sakte hai aur woh final aur binding hoga. Toh kya aap sign kar rahe hain yaa hum jaaye." Pari spoke making herself very clear to Dev.

"Mr Khanna inn papers mein aap ka written statement hai ke Khanna Cements ke official godown mein repairs ho rahe hein issliye aap ne apne personal godown mein cement shift kiye thi. Iss statement ke baad you will be free so can u please hurry up, hamaare paas sirf 10 mins hai decision lene ke liye aur mujhe bhi Brij ke case ke liye court pohuch na hai jaldi." Arjun said nailing all Dev's doubts and in a haste to come out of all this mess Dev signed the papers without reading them.

Arjun and Dev were busy in clearing all the legal formalities Rajiv escorted Pari out of the police station only to be mobbed by Press.

"Miss Khanna kya yeh sach hai ke aap ke bade bhai ko police ne cement ki black marketing ke case mein arrest kiya hai, aap ke truck driver sharaab ke nashe mein aap ke hi godown wall mein truck bang kar diya aur aap ke bhai ke saare plans fail kar diye?" A reporter questioned.

"Haan batayiye Miss Khanna cement ki itni shortage hai market mein to aap ki personal property mein crores worth cement kya kar rahi hein. Kya aap ki Company iss sab ke baare mein jaanti hai. Jawab dijiye?" another reporter too added.

Vicky with help of guards immediately helped Pari and Rajiv out towards the car and Arjun finally emerged out with Dev and addressed the Press.

"Dekhiye Mr Dev Khanna ko arrest nahi kiya gaya tha unhe sirf accident se related routine inquiry ke liye detain kiya gaya tha aur ab woh azaad hai. Jo cement godown mein thi woh Khanna Cements ka new stock tha. Kyun ki Khanna Cements ke official godown mein repairs ho rahe hai issiliye Mr Khanna ne saara consignment yaha shift kiya tha. Aur ab se kuch hi der mein Khanna Cements ke Board of Directors (BOD) ki meeting hai jahan final decision liya jaayega. Thank you all." Arjun finally gave the statement to the Press on behalf of Khanna Cements and leaving a shocked Dev with news of reporting soon to Khanna Cements for BODs meeting.

KHANNA CEMENT CONFERENCE ROOM

"Mr Dev Khanna, in the light of recent events, the presented proofs, the various Financial Statements and taking into consideration the current position and situation of the Company. We the BOD unanimously take the decision that we hold no confidence in you and thereby demanding your resignation as the MD of Khanna Cements with immediate effect. You are further notified to immediately transfer all the funds that u have withdrawn from Company accounts for personal use, shift all the stocks of cements that u have transferred without required permission from the Board. We also hereby seal all your accounts, discontinue all your perks and privileges that you have enjoying as the MD of this Company.Please do the needful at the earliest."

"Miss Pari Khanna will soon be taking over as the new MD of Khanna Cement." The scene was worth watching when the Board took their decision and voted against Dev and in favour of Pari.

Dev was finally kicked out of Khanna Cements for good.

Slowly all the BODs left the room only Dad, Nani, Pari, Dev and me were left in the conference room. Oh! how I loved to see Dev like this failed, humiliated and dejected. Nani's voice broke the silence of the room.

"Humne tumhe Aman ka sapna unki izzat saupi thi par afsos aap ne sab kuch barbaad kar diya. Itna gir gaye aap ke apne ghar mein chori ki. Chi." She left the room not wanting to fall weak in emotions for a person who deserves the worse.

Pari silently got up making her way out but Dev's voice stopped her, "Badi ho gayi tum." His words appeared more sarcastic than genuine.

"Maine kabhi nahi socha tha ke itne waqt ke baad main aap ko aise milungi. You have really disappointed me Bhai. I am so ashamed of you." She ran out crying. I was just about to follow her but saw she was with Nani so thought to finish the incomplete work here.

"Yeh wohi jagah hai jahan tumhe MD banaya gaya tha aur aaj yahi tumhe nikala bhi gaya. Maine tumhe tab bhi kaha tha ke jiss din tum galat raaste pe chaloge tum mujhe apne khilaaf paaoge. Aaj tumne Aman ka guroor, uska sapna aur uska vishwaas jo tum par tha, woh sab tod diya." Dad burst out on him leaving just Dev and me in the room.

Dev was about to leave the room when I stopped him, now it was my chance I had been waiting for since long.

"Mr Dev Khanna, Jaa kahan rahe ho. Tumhaari gaadi bahot acchi mujhe bahot pasand hai. Aur jo mujhe acchi lagti hai woh meri ho jaati hai. Keys please. Aise kya dekh rahe ho?" I questioned him, not getting any reply I continued.

"Yeh gaadi Khanna Cement ke MD ki hai, Company ki hai. Toh ab se yeh Pari ki hui aur main Pari ka fiance hoon toh technically Pari aur yeh gaadi meri, Vikraant Singh Khurana ki hui . So now can I have the keys please."

"Bahar ka raasta uss taraf hai aur sadak tumhaara intezaar kar rahi hai. ALL THE BEST!!!" I concluded.

Watching over Dev walking lifelessly out of Khanna Cement gates on the street I made the call.

"BRO MISSION ACCOMPLISHED AND NOW OVER TO YOU!!!!"
