The entire journey from RM to the doctors was passed in a comfortable silence. Arnav and Khushi kept looking at each other time and again and at Aashi, Arnav knew Khushi was scared ,he knew hospitals always gave her a scare and he has seen her when her babuji was in hospital,the ever strong Khushi who has broken down in his arms,he still regretted that he wasn't able to comfort her then but now he will not let anything break her,he was himself scared somewhere down the heart and he wished that all was well with Aashi, they kept drawing strength from each other sitting quietly yet talking through their eyes throughout the journey.

After a half an hour ride they reached the hospital where Arnav has taken the appointment,he opened the door for Khushi ,he took Aashi from her and then they went together ahead.

ASR being somewhere commanded utmost attention and Khushi was well versed with these things now,they directly went to the floor where the appointment was slated at and went straight to the doctors cabin ,he ushered them to come in and he looked at Aashi who was passed a sweet smile to him.

Doctor '"Mr and Mrs Raizada your baby is very cute and you don't need to worry at all its just a routine checkup to see all is fine with her and if there is anything required, we will do the needful immediately".

Arnav looked at doctor who spoke ever so calmly with them and he mentally thanked Aman,he knew Aman would never utter a word , he must have tackled doctor very smartly,but Arnav knew he owed an heartfelt thanks to aman for his utmost honesty and support ,he has always been his right hand man but handling doctors uneasy questions with so much conviction Arnav felt sense of gratitude because he knew if someone would have asked him anything uncomfortable about Aashi,he would not have been able to control his anger,Aashi was his daughter and that was the only truth.

"Arnavji" his trance was broken by Khushi's hand on his arm

He assured her with his eyes that all is fine and he told the doctor to proceed,Khushi very apprehensively handed Aashi to the nurse and they both followed her.

The doctor checked her and then instructed the nurse to get her blood sample,as soon as Khushi saw the nurse approaching Aashi with the needle,she just spoke in a loud voice

"yeh aap kya kar rahi hai sister,aap itni chotti si bacchii ko inject kaise kar sakti hai"(sister what are you upto,how can you inject such a small girl)

The nurse told her in a calm voice as she was used to see parents panicking seeing their child getting injected

"Mrs Raizada its just to take her blood sample so that we can get all the tests conducted"

"I know that sister but still wait aap samajh nahi rahi hai"(I know that sister,but I don't think you are understanding what I am saying), Khushi spoke with annoyance

Telling the nurse off she went to call her husband who has stepped out to attend a call,the moment he sensed her he cut the call and asked in soothing voice

"Khushi kya hua,tum itni ghabrayi hui kyon ho"(what happened Khushi,why are you so tensed)

She hugged him sideways and said "Arnavji who Aashi ko inject kar rahe hai,woh ek chotti si bacchii hai aur who nurse samajh hi nahi rahi hai"(Arnavji they are injecting Aashi,she is so small and this nurse is not even understanding what I told her)she whined like a child.

"Khushi its necessary to be done,the sample needs to be taken for the tests and you tell me is it possible to collect blood sample through any other way no naa so dnt be so scared Aashi is our daughter and she is strong okay comeon lets go inside" Arnav told her

Hearing his soothing words she calmed down a bit and braced herself to go inside ,they both stood there holding each other seeing their daughter being injected for the first time,but as the nurse started to go nearer Aashi he went his own mind going into panic mode ,if not that was not less as soon as Aashi saw the needle near her she started crying and one thing Arnav Singh Raizada couldn't bare at all was tears in his loved ones eyes and this was his daughter who was now crying at the peak of her voice.

He walked ahead and picked Aashi in his arms and tried to make her stop crying ,he turned to the nurse and said

"CALL THE DOCTOR"

The nurse sprinted to call the doctor and in the mean time the parents were able to calm their daughter down.

"Mr Raizada " the doctor started to speak

Both of them turned to the doctor and sensing his anger the doctor quickly spoke

"Mr and Mrs Raizada there is no need to get so alarmed,I handle children daily and a child does gets scared seeing needle and Injections for the first time,you please let her down and let us do our work".

"Are you kidding me doctor,have you seen the way she was crying some minutes back ,is this way how you handle it"he retorted back

"Yes doctor that is what I was saying too ,cant we do this any other way,she is too small for all these injections" Khushi who was already scared to wits spoke up too at the same time.

The doctor was losing on its patience,he has seen parents getting worried but this was too much ,this was the first where the parents were behaving like kids,knowing no other way he said to them in a strict tone

"Mr and Mrs Raizada I understand your worries fully but seriously there is no other way to do this and if you cant see your daughter then its better you hand her to the nurse and wait outside we will get this done and call you,its important for your daughter goodness and needs to be done at the earliest and if you decide not to go through this then its your own loss.

The doctor knew he was being downright strict but he has no other way of making them understand,he expected both of them to leave but he was shocked that they both went ahead and nodded the nurse to come and collect the sample.

What he didn't knew was that they were Arnav and Khushi who didn't needed words to communicate to each other,the moment doctor has spoken those words,they both have realised that it was necessary for their daughter and with that they remembered the promise that they have made to each other of doing their best they could do and they had each other as their support so without any delay they went ahead with it.

Arnav held Aashi in his arms whereas Khushi very lovingly held her arm to the nurse to take the sample,and both of them tried to divert her attention when the nurse took it and to the utter amazement she didn't cried she winced bt she didn't cried and finally Arnav and Khushi breathe a sigh of relief.

The doctor stood spellbound seeing this scene in front of his eyes,he was astonished thinking were they the same who were just panicking like anything minutes ago but seeing them he even agreed that this girl was surely blessed to have such parents and they make a picture perfect family.

The trio returned with final words from the doctors and he has warned them about Aashi prone to catch a mild fever by the night as it was the first time being injected ,he gave them the chart of his timely vaccines and all the precautions that were to be taken.

Both Arnav and Khushi listened to the doctor very attentively,the reports came in at the earliest on ASR'S insistence and with gods grace all was well with their daughter,they offered their thanks in the DEVIMAIYYAS temple whole returning home.

Reaching home as expected they were bombarded by questions by everyone and they answered them very calmly knowing all were worried about Aashi and finally the long eventful day came to an end by everyone retiring to their rooms.

The whole night Arnav and Khushi didn't slept even for a second ,though Arnav asked Khushi to sleep but sleep was miles away from their eyes as they both watched over her for signs of fever from time to time and the little angel slept peacefully away from all the whims surrounding her.

Finally it was early morning when Anjali came and took Aashi to her room and ordering them to go to take rest,they finally slept with a content that all was finally well in their world.
