We sat there embracing each other, her tight hold on me clearly indicated the amount of fear and anxiety still residing in her. She had taken the decision but still her past memories were taking a toll on her. I will make sure all the traces of her past are washed off gradually.

"Geet's voice broke my thoughts, "Maan agar uss din bhi maine thodi si himmat kar ke aap ko bulaya hota toh yeh sab hota hi nahi humaare saath. Aap aake hamesha ke liye mujhe apne saath le aate yahan."

"Main aaya tha Geet, tumhe hamesha ke liye apne saath le jaane. Lekin der ho gayi thi." I revealed to her the facts which were still unknown to her.

"Uss din jab tumhe khud se door jaate dekha toh achaanak ek khaalipan sa cha gaya, ek ajeeb si beichaini hone lagi, aisa lag raha tha ke meri rooh mujhse alag ho rahi hein, bahot ghuttan mahsoos ho rahi thi. Ek pal bhi main woh bardasht nahi kar paaya, poori zindagi kaise jeeta main tumhare bina Geet." I confessed to her my emotional turmoil then.

I narrated to her the happenings after she left with Brij, we immediately started for Delhi. I had promised myself that this time I will not backout. We were about to reach Delhi when I received a call from our Meerut site informing us about an accident that had occured and many workers were injured. We had to rush to the site to handle the situation. I had thought I will make all the arrangements and return as soon as possible to claim My Geet unknown to the conspiracy planned against us.

Annie and Meera tried to get through her to convey my message but to no success, finally next day Meera went to Handa Haveli to enquire about her when her Maa informed Meera about her sudden wedding and gave Meera a letter wherein Geet had mentioned that this was her decision and for the betterment of all and we should respect it.

"That news shattered me Geet, after so many years I had decided to give my life a chance, give our love a chance but..."

"I couldn't believe the very thought that I lost you, it was all my fault. Had I stopped you then from going with Brij..."

That day I was too broken and had drowned myself in alcohol. Yash and Arjun had helped me home and that night Dadimaa had come to my room, though I was not in full sense but still I faintly remember she had cried sitting beside me caressing my head. I realized my pain and vulnerability had broken that strong woman. So the very next day I left Khurana Mansion and shifted to Dehradun with a sole aim of steeling myself off any emotion, drowning myself in work and also fulfill your dream of building Our Aashiyaan!

"Maan shayad yeh hamaari kismat ka likha tha, issiliye hum judaa ho gaye..."

"Kismat nahi Geet, Dev." I disclosed the cause of our pain and she looked at me shocked.

"Haan Geet, Dev ne yeh sab plan kiya tha. Dev ne hi Meerutwali site mein accident karwaya tha, taake main waqt par tum tak na pohuch saku. Kuch din pehle hi Police ne uss truck driver ko arrest kiya jisne woh accident kiya tha and the driver confessed Dev's involvement. Mujhe laga woh business rivalry ki wajah se yeh sab kar raha hein lekin jab maine tumhare divorce papers dekhe toh all the pieces of the puzzle fell in place." There was silence in the room Geet spoke breaking through it.

"Haan Dev ne kaha tha ke woh construction business ko rule karna chahta hein aur issiliye usne mujhse shaadi ki thi taake usse Handa's ka support mil sake." Geet added and stiffening a bit she spoke.

"Maan, Rajji?" Geet was very tensed for Rajji.

"Rajji ko main kuch nahi hone doonga, bharosa rakho Geet. Dev ka saaya bhi nahi padne doonga main uss par." I promised Geet.

HANDA HAVELI

"Tum jitni jaldi ho sake wapas aa jao, haan main jaanta hoon main kya keh raha hoon tumhe. Tumhari yahan jyaada zaroorat hein mujhe. Wapas aa jao." I ended the call when Rano looked at me clearly upset with my decision.

"Yeh aap ne theek nahi kiya Jee." I assured her that I know what I'm doing and it is much needed now. Before she could argue Parjayiji walked in.

"Devarji shukriyaan aaj aap ne jo Rajji ke liye..." Before she could continue I stopped her.

"Parjayiji, Rajji meri bhi beti hein aap mujhe sharminda mat kijiye." I requested her when she revealed to us getting emotional that she was well aware of all the facts regarding Dev. She had overheard the conversation of Ramukaka and Rano after the news of Geet's divorce and her eloping with someone had been disclosed to all. She was shocked to know the truth of that man who always acted to be a perfect son, son-in-law and husband. She in the most vulnerable tone added.

"Ek Maa hone ke naate mujhe Brij ki fikar thi, lekin mera Rab jaanta hein ke maine dil se yahi dua ki thi ke Brij kabhi bhi Geet tak na pohuch paaye. Aaj bhi main yahi chahti ho ke Geet jahan bhi rahe surakshit aur khush rahe aur inn logo ka kaala saaya kabhi uski zindagi par na pade." We could see just pure love and concern in her eyes. These testing times had indeed united us and strengthened our resolve to fight against this sick mentality.

KHANNA HOUSE

Crashing another empty bottle of liquor on the floor he stood up on his wobbling feet, walking towards the object of his interest, his confidant to whom he would share all his success and failures, his happiness and sorrows, his pain and revenge. His Secrets!!!

See here I stand again, after all the planning to accomplish my goal of making Khanna Cement, the No.1 cement company again and also plunging into construction world and taking over the construction empire from Khurana's but one mistake. That Geet, I underestimated her.

This close, this close I was in achieving my dream but that Geet ruined all my plans. I had never thought she would disappear like this and turn the tables around. I had thought once the news of our divorce reaches the Handa's they will kill her in the name of family honour and she will be out of my life forever. But her sudden disappearance alerted that Mohinder. He has become a threat to my future planning. I have to act fast before he causes anymore damage. I have a come a long way and will not let anybody obstruct my path now.

The day I had returned from Canada after completing my studies only to find Khanna Cements in neck deep losses and the reason of our woes those Khurana's flourishing in their business. I had vowed to avenge all our pains and their betrayal which caused our downfall. I tried to create problems in their business, even tried to bribe their employees to leak their confidential information but to no success. They all were too loyal and nobody had guts to go against The Maan Singh Khurana in the business circle.

Then I realized that if I have to topple a giant I need to weaken his roots and thereby started planning and researching over his achievements, his strengths, and his weaknesses. Though he didn't have any weakness but there was one loose brick in the Khurana Fort. Their rivalry with Handa's and EUREKA!!!!

Brij Handa was my next target, it was not very hard for me to get information of the haughty Handa's and their heir, the fool Brij Handa who was very popular for all the wrong reasons and I took advantage of it. Inorder to gain entry in Handa arena, with help of my trusted people I conned the volatile Brij in a scuffle and then entering as his savior nailing my purpose to befriend him. All went well, foolish Handa's were so impressed by my 'I am perfect' act. Then to strengthen our relation professionally we struck the deal of collaboration of Khanna Cement and Handa Constructions(HC).

But I had to play safe and stay away from them in public as my presence around Brij would alert Maan who had a fair idea of my manipulation in his business. I was still thinking over to how to access more power in HC and then I saw Geet.

I was blown away by her beauty, she was a perfect mix of pure untouched beauty and a great body. She was my entry to the Handa household and thereby a secured position in HC.

All was happening according to my plan but Maan. There was some reunion party in their college I thought of gate crashing there to look out for an opportunity to woo Geet but the events that transpired there left me livid and seething. Brij was equally angered with Maan's presence near Geet and seeking this as a perfect opportunity Mom and I trapped them in for an alliance of Geet and me. Handa's were more than happy.

Luck was on my side as I got to know Maan left for London leaving the course clear for me. I tried my level best to get close to Geet but Handa's conservative thinking and adding to it Geet avoiding me as if I was invisible. Maan's absence also didn't help much but I got one chance when Geet's college was taking them to Dehradun on account of some study tour, as usual Handa's were not interested but I intervened and they agreed, ofcourse I had my reasons firstly she would start acknowledging me and second I had planned something for us.

I followed them to Dehradun and seeking an opportunity my men kidnapped Geet and started forcing her and then I would rescue her like a hero and impress her but again Maan ruined it all again. I couldn't make it on time as my car broke down midway and not only did Maan save her but also took her with him and they spent a night together alone.

Whole night when I was searching for them in the forest and they were having fun, I had hid my presence from Brij when he came to search for Geet but I had seen Maan and Geet together coming out of their tent and even their love bites confirming all my doubts.

They had slept together!

Maan had again snatched away my prey, my Geet. He had won yet again.

I had to marry Geet to accomplish my motive and though I hated her now for betraying me but still I like a perfect idealistic fiance agreed to marry her feigning my trust in her. Mohinder and Rano were floored by my act and I successfully married Geet but on the condition that our marriage will be kept under wraps for time being as my first aim was to fulfill my Dad's dream to revive my Company and then settle down. They fell in my emotional trap.

I made Geet sign all transfer papers on the wedding day itself so that all her inheritance was transferred in my name soon and even the divorce papers. She like a fool signed them without reading and I won. Today I have a considerable share and holding in HC and after marrying Rajji it will be strengthened all the more. Brij's future is finished and I will make sure he rots in jail and then I will takeover HC as Mohinder and his son are not even worth wasting time on.

"Mohinder Handa mujhe ghar se nikaal kar bahot badi galti kar di ab main Rajji ko iss tarah apne pyaar mein paagal karunga ke woh khud tumhaare mooh par karara thapad maar ke mujhse shaadi karegi. Aur tumhe khud main Handa Haveli aur HC se dhakke maar ke bahar nikalunga. HC aur KC sab kuch mera hoga bahot jald."

"I will be the king!!! Dad suna aap ne main sab kuch haasil karunga yeh mera, DEV AMAN KHANNA ka vaada hein aap se." I promised to the garland laden photo of my Dad.

KHURANA MANSION

Geet had been restless whole night and even I couldn't sleep a wink after the phone call, came down early on an excuse for my workout. Dev has already planned his next move and I am ready for it. You have done enough damage Dev but now no more. My phone buzzed and I smiled seeing the message.

"Dev Aman Khanna tumne hamesha peeche se vaar kiya hein lekin main saamne se karunga bas tumhe nazar nahi aaunga. Main taiyaar hoon apne pehle vaar ke saath lekin tumhe taiyaari ka ya sambhalne ka mauka nahi doonga."

"Rajji ko paana toh door ki baat hein, uss ke aas paas bhi pohuchne nahi doonga main tumhe. Yeh mera Maan Singh Khurana ka vaada hein tumse."
