Viren and Jeevika were waiting in Veera's room for her to return from her tests. Jeevika was on the verge of falling asleep and unable to keep her eyes open. She was sitting on the sofa with her head about to fall before Viren quickly got up and sat next to her letting her rest her head on his shoulder. He smiled looking at her glowing face. Just then Armaan entered the room and saw the bed empty. He looked at the other side and saw Jeevika asleep on Viren. Viren gestured to him to be quiet by placing his finger on his mouth. Armaan just smiled and sat on the chair waiting as he figured Veera was gone for her test. It was an awkward situation as Armaan would usually talk to Jeevika but she was asleep. Everytime he peeped over he saw Viren glaring him down and then he quickly turned his face away scared from facing him. After a long twenty more minutes, which seemed more like 20 hours, the nurse rolled Veera back in a wheelchair to the room. Armaan got up from his seat, and Jeevika woke up as well listening to the squealing noises of the wheelchair. Virika got up from the sofa and walked to the bed where Armaan was helping Veera get on. Viren just stared him down more, but this time with a little smile on his face that didn't go unnoticed by Veera.
viren - "Are you okay?"
veera - "Bhai can you please take me home" she said looking like she was going to breakdown any second'.
Veera was very strong for coming along this far, but every once in a while she would have a breakdown. Mostly before any test results would come out. She was scared that she was loosing time, and all the little time she had left was being spent on this hospital bed.
Viren moved to her side and sat on the bed. Veera just hugged him starting to cry on his shoulder.
viren - "Okay, I'll talk to the doctor and take you home. But please stop crying. I can't see you like this" he said hugging his baby-sister tightly
Veera was still crying, but softly now. Viren could feel her tears on his shirt. He comfortably rested his chin on her shoulder while she cried on his shirt.
v - "Jeevika hand me that glass of water please"
Jeevika gave Viren water for Veera and her made her drink it. As she took a sip she looked at Jeevika. She was getting all pale so Jeevika quickly helped her up and took her to the bathroom where she started throwing up. Jeevika held onto her tightly bringing her out from the bathroom. Armaan and Viren took over supporting her and helping her get on the bed. Armaan used the bed remote to make the bed lie flat so Veera could sleep while Viren dimmed the lights of the room and closed the curtains. Both those guys wouldn't let anything bug her, they both protected her through everything. Jeevika took the blanket and covered Veera up making sure she wouldn't get cold and that she was fully covered. She could feel Veera's body shaking, knowing she was stressed out. That was a typical symptom; every time she panicked she would start getting a fever and shaking. Jeevika sat on the bed while Viren next to Veera on a chair just dazing at her. He however did quickly look at Armaan who was standing at the end of the bed. Never had he seen him so disheartened. It's like he was about to have a breakdown seeing Veera like this. He couldn't face anyone so Armaan just ran outside the room.
v - "Jeevika just watch her, I'll be right back" he whispered to her
Jeevika nodded unaware of anything. She hadn't even noticed Armaan gone. Viren went outside and found Armaan sitting in the waiting area looking all stressed out. He sat down next to him as Armaan just looked down at the ground.
v - "Are you okay"
a - "I guess. I just hate seeing her like this"
v - "I know you do. We all do, but its just a matter of sometime. I'm positive that she will be fine again"
a - "Seeing her like that though, makes me loose hope. I try to make her believe everything will be fine but I myself am not sure if it ever will be"
v - "Well nobody does right? We can just think positively and try to make the best of every situation"
a - "Thank you"
v - "No thank you. Seriously me and Jeevika really appreciate you being here all the time. I know how stressful it can be for us, and for you to come with studying as well is really sweet of you. I guess you really do like my sister then" he said lightening up the mood
a - " I really do. She is my best friend. I can't live a day without talking to her"
Viren just smiled at him and Armaan smiled back. For the first time they actually had a sweet moment, bonding over Veera. Both of them wouldn't let anything happen to her, EVER!
