"Yess!! Absolutely Mr Khan!! Unhe kuch nahi huya hai. She is out of danger. But she is highly stressed which lead to the depression. I guess you know what is bothering her."
Asad frowned through his tears. He was at loss of words.
"Mr Khan please make sure that she is happy. Stress might be fatal this time. And yes no sharp objects near her reach this time." The doc pressed Asad's shoulder in assurance.
"Aur do please make sure that the medicines are given on time. And please take extra care of her. She really needs it! NOW'"
"Are you sure that we don't need to keep her any longer in the hospital?'"
"Mr Khan, Mrs Khan needs the care of a family at the present moment. Not a hospital."
"Jee!!" Asad said inaudibly as his tears blurred his vision.

"Zoya beta--!!" Dilshad said lovingly as she caressed Zoya's hair while Zoya fluttered her eyes to open them. Asad meanwhile impatiently held Zoya's unhurt wired hand in his. His life seemed to have fled away leaving a dead materialistic body behind. He barely was breathing. To be precise his life has come to a stand still at Zoya's. This time it was worse than the previous. At Mangalpur, he was more at a relief because he hadn't realized that he had fallen for her. But this time he very well knew if anything happened but this time the tables had changed, the lock on the door was lost, Asad Ahmed Khan would be dead if anything happened to His Zoya Farooqqui. Wasn't fixing back her Jiju and Appi's VISAs a lame attempt to bring them here so as his mother would propose them with their marriage proposal? Although he had no intentions presently to want to marry as he wanted to give his Lady Love the happiness of courtship, but he knew the only cure to the pain she was in now, would have been their marriage. How madly he had been planning all the things subconsciously and how fate played its cards. If anything happened to Zoya now, even Allah couldn't save Mr & Mrs Siddique from his wrath, forget the IPC giving its verdict in a week. Asad Ahmed Khan would burn them alive just the like they did to his Zoya's Ammi, that even in front of public. Violent thoughts took over Asad. Zoya please wake up please. Asad rubbed her cold hand over his wet cheek. He died a living death while pulling Zoya out of that makeshift grave. He died another series of thousands of death in those 15minx when he feared she would never again response. But the worst death he ever died was the last night, this time waking up to find his Ammi screaming, and then finding her on the floor, bathing in a pool of her own blood. What else could be more horrifying than to find one self's love floating lifeless in their own blood? The only thing still echoed in his ears was a piercing hurt animal's cry, which was apparently his. Whenever he closed his eyes, he found her in that state .It was a living Golgotha. Rather than having his nights and thoughts haunted this way, all he wished for death to elope with him. He was just a thread away from losing her for the eternity both the times. Dismiss fear, he wished he had died, so that he didn't had to go through all these horrifying moments ever in his life, What if, if she never responded back?
Death was easier than to answer such a question.
Zoya wake up! Its freaking 2days dammit. How long more? Wake up and yell that you are all right. Wake up please. We need to go home. I need to tell you to shut up to your non stop blabbering. You need to call me a Mean Coldblooded Monster. We need to get married so that we can have extreme kids like us. I need to have you utter nonsense cake, its ages that i tasted it. Zoya wake up and tell me a shayeri i don't really feel good without it. Zoya please wake up. I did feel your little finger press against my cheek. Now Wake up now Please Zoya please. Apni shayri ke khatir utho please. Asad screamed at his inner demons. His patience was literary over with him.

Words might have had their win that time, Tired exhausted eyes greeted his at finally back to life ones. Asad smiled hard through his tears. More at the fact that she was fine, and her shayari had won. Pagal he mentally said. Dilshad too was elated. She muttered a prayer as she ran her fingers through Zoya's hair. Asad squeezed her hand back Zoya retuned a confused tired blank look, and before he could ask her a word she decided to submit herself to slumber.

"Zoya ab kaisi hai?" Rashid panic voice echoed from the receiver.
"Behosh hai Rashid. Khatra tal gaya hai. Hum usse ghar le aaye aaj. Ap phikar mat kijiye, Doc ne kaha hai woh jald hi bilkul thik ho jaygegi. Apke ghar mein sab thik hai na?" Dilshad a bit more concerned than usual.
"Pata nahi Dilshad,kya ho raha hai, Bala tall gai hai ya phir usska saya abhi tak mandra rahi hai, Humera toote chuki hai,magar sab thik ho raha hai."
"Sab thik ho jayega Rashid. App himmat mat hariyee. Jab bura waqt ata hai, toh sab bura hota hai, magar jab jata hai, sab burai apne saath le jata hai."
"Asad thik hai naa?"
"Shayad.Bahut mushil se apne aapko sambhale huye hai.Darr hai iss baar kahin'"
"Ammiii'"
"Rashid,ghar mein sab thik hai Asad bhi thik hai,ap bewajah chinta mat kijiye."
"Kal ho sake toh main Zoya se milne aunga, Asad se bhi kuch baat karlunga. Khuda Hafiz."

"Bhai-jaan. . ." Najma's hushed panicked voice was enough for Asad to have a heart attack again.
"Kya huya Najma?" Asad said as he abruptly disconnected the call he was attending to.
"Zoo-Zoyya kuch bol kyun nahi rahi? Aise sirf-sirf roo rahi hai. Bhaijan!!"Najma started sniffing."Unhe kya huya hai? Woh mujhse baat kyun nahi kar rahi hai? Woh aise toh kabhi bhi nahi behave karti Bhai jan!" Najma wailed in helplessness.
Asad's eyes spilled out again. How could he console his little sister when all he needed was to be consoled himself. "Kuch nahi huya hai Zoya ko Tamater. She needs some time. Just some. I promise she will be fine like before."Asad dried her tears as she hugged him.
Asad stood at the door of Zoya's room. He died another death. It was more pathetic than ever. Asad wished he never owned a heart. Zoya stared at blank.T ears rolled down her red puffed up cheeks wetting her grey gown, she was paler than the milk white walls of the room, her eyes seemed like they would bleed up blood now, and her body lifeless. Asad bit his lip until it he could taste his own blood. He reluctantly sat beside her. Those eyes didn't even flinch once to recognize his presence. He realized he was shaking himself while he cried. He looked down at her hands. The hurt one on a pillow, swollen like a log and the other connected to an IV, rested on her lap as she reclined on the bed stand. He gently took the wired one in his hands and gave it a squeeze, hoping her to respond. He knew she won't, and he was right. He ran his fingers through her hair to remove them from blocking her sight and cupped her cheeks while drying them. She still made no response to his touch. Asad could no longer take it. He pulled her into an embrace, rubbing her back as he hugged her. Tears wet his sleeve silently.
After a long while a horse murmur came, "I-I-wiss-ed-you-didnt-save-me-Asad"
The words sunk in Asad, stabbing all the possible stuff left inside his body. It was hard for him to breathe now. He literary choked. Asad cupped her face in his hands looking into her eyes he said "If anything ever happened to you i would have been dead! You know that very well! Why would you ever think of even hurting yourself for someone who deserves nothing but to be fed to the figs?"
"Mujhe apne aap se ghinn aatii hai Asad.I-"
"You know very well , I will- never ever-"
"Mere andar uss-uss insan ka khoon-khoon daud raha hai jissnee-jiiss-jissnee merr-meeriii Ammmii ka-"Zoya started hyperventilating.
Asad panicked "Zoo-Zooyaa relaxxx!!Zooo-Zoyya!! Calm down.Tumne apni Ammi kaa khoon daud raha hai---Zoyya do you hear me?? Naaajjjmaaa!! Aaammmiii!!! Zoyyaa---yes its your Ammii's blood kisi aur ka nahi trust me!! Ammmiii" Asad screamed as Zoya got into another panic attack. Asad hugged her hard caressing her hair. Najma and Dilshad came running. Dilshad understood the gravity of the situation and quickly rushed to Zoya. Asad landed Zoya safely in his mother's arms and fished the syringe out and injected her a sleeping pill into the IV. As the medicine started to take its toll on Zoya, her hiccups slowly died and she gave herself to slumber. Asad brushed her hair back and tucked her blanket to the chin, placing her hurt hand on the pillow carefully again so that she didn't hurt it again her sleep..
