It was the day of Roka at Payal's house. Guests were pouring in to attend the function. Girls were crowding around Payal to dress her up for the function. Payal was adorned with Beautiful jewellery matching to her peacock green lehenga.

Buaji : Hai re Nandkishore. What are you doing titaliya ? Raizada family are about to come. Go and check on the food and also just have a look at Payal if she is ready or not?And yes dont forget to keep the flowers in thaal for the function. Check with Payal's dad if he needs anything. And ...

Khushi : Oh God Buaji I have only two legs,two hands and one brain. I am not your Robot to finish things at a time..

Buaji : What are you talking titaliya? I thought you are powerful than a Robot. You were so enthusiastic before.I think you have become less active after your marriage got fixed. All this is because of Arnav babua.. He has made my Titaliya less enthusiastic. He should be the one who should get all the scoldings from me.

Khushi ( faking anger) Buaji.. now dont talk abt my Arnavji. What did he do to you? If you want me to do any work , I will do now dont take his name unnecessarily and never ever think of talking bad about him. Okay?

Buaji (laughing hard which made her realise that buaji was teasing her and her cheeks went deep red) : Hey Devimayya, look at Jhansi Rani coming to fight with me for accusing her Arnavji. Arre Titaliya.. I wont blame your Arnavji anymore ok.. Sorry for that. Vaise why didnt he call you still ? Are you waiting for it ?

Khushi ( gulping her tears faking a smile) uff.. Buaji, He is not sitting idle like us. He must be very busy in work. Let him work peacefully. Anyways he will call Akashiji and Payal to wish them after the roka. Now dont waste time Madhumati.. go and and continue your supervisior job. Saying she pushed buaji to the hall.

Buaji : arre pagli.. leave me. I can go.. You go and look after the work which I assigned you.

Khushi closed her eyes and shook her head to deviate herself from the thoughts why Arnav didnt call her. She came to her normal smiling face and rushed to finish the work.

Payal was wearing her maang tika when Khushi appeared behind her and her naughty eyebrows raising reflected in the mirror.

Khushi. Arre wah.. dulhan is ready, now waiting for her dulhe raja to come and take her with him..haina?

Payal : Chup Khushi..

Khushi : OMG look who is blushing??? The same girl who teased me so much for my shagun ah? First my marriage got fixed but you are getting married first.. haha

Payal : Thanks Khushi.. This wouldnt have been possible without you and Arnavji's help.Actually I m also a bit worried that I m getting married first.

Khushi : Hey.. why do you get worried? BE happy. Everything is for your good. And it was our duty to make your love success and that happened.

Payal :Khushi.. how can u be so matured and yet so simple?

Khushi : Thats because I have a sister who is less matured and so complex in her emotions I need to be a contrast to her na ?

Payal smiled and hit her elbow...

Payal : Agreed my jethani is a more matured than me.. I wish we both get married together.

Khushi : hmm. No... Dont take chances in life Payal. Its a golden opportunity that all have agreed for your relationship. Dont let go it from your hands.

Payal : Yea.. I would not have even thought of my marriage with Akash just with Akash's help. He is good and I love him for his innocence but he doesnt have that courage to talk to his elders like Arnavji.

Khushi : It happens Payal. Arnavji was elder to him and he had responsibility at the early age while Akashji was pampered by the family and he had been more influenced by the elder's decisions in his life. SO theres nothing wrong in it.

Payal : Thats all ok Khushi I am scared of his mother. I feel she is not at all interested.

Khushi : Payal.. you are wrong. Mamiji is very sweet. She talks on your face but she wont keep anything in mind. She might be angry that she didnt have the freedom to select her bahu but that doesnt mean that she will hate you. It will be alright in course of time. Dont worry Di and Naniji wont let you getting hurt by any way. And I will also be there na.. but you have to wait for 4 months for my arrival.

Payal : Yea let me enjoy the sasural alone. You can come later. And I will welcome my jethani as a proud devarani.

Khushi : hmmm. Thats so bad.. What will I do here without my sister and brother with me ? My sister is getting married and she will leave me soon.look she is happy to leave me too.

Payal : oh baby. I didnt mean that. Sorry Khushi.. I cant leave you like that..

Payal and Khushi hugged each other and shared the tears of joy when Yogini came into announce that the boys family have reached.

Yogini: bitiya.. be ready. All of them have arrived. We have to move to the mandap.

Khushi : Payal.. You stay here. Let me go and welcome everyone.

Nani and family were welcomed by Sashi and Kishal with their relatives and friends. Nani was astonished by the decorations and arrangements in the house.

Nani : wah Kishanji, the decorations are lovely..

Mamiji was irritated and her words as usual was spitting venom..

Mamiji : hmm.. what use ? My son had to get engaged in such a small house which could not occupy our half of relatives. Why to mention about the decoration then?

Her words truly hurt Kishan and Sashi who looked at each other. Anjali and Shyam tried to interfere but they couldnt open the mouth as it would embarass further. Nani who stared back at Manorama with anger twisted the words.

Mamiji: Kishanji.. Yes.. your house is too small to occupy everyone but your heart is so big that we dont have more relatives for you to provide.Many might not understand this as they dont have such a big heart as you have.

Naniji's words brought back all the smiles which were vanishing with the pricking words of mamiji. Mami got deeply insulted and she turned her face with disinterest though Yogini and Garima was giving her a warm welcome inside.

Khushi came over to meet her Arnavji's family with glee and her face was glowing with the happiness that she saw them. Nani was mesmerized to see their angel dressed up in blue and green choli with her jhumka adding charm to her choli. She was an etheral beauty. Madhu was the first one who ran towards her mami to hug and kiss her on her nose. Khushi took her in arms and kissed in her nose too. Khushi came near Nani and hugged her after getting blessings. She gave a tight bear hug to Anjali and Lavanya.. Guptas and Payal's family were happy looking at the bond Khushi shares with the family before the marriage.

Nani: Wah.. my cute bahu is looking so beautiful today..

Anjali : Yes Nani.. I wish my brother should have been here now..

Shyam : Yea... We could have witnessed two blushing couples together now.

Lavanya : Jiju, my bhai wont blush like Akash bhai.. He can make only my bhabhi blush..

Khushi with her wide mouth expression :aww.Jijaji you too???? Today also am I the victim of ur teasing? NO way.. You can have the previlege of teasing my sister and brother in law for that. Right mami ?

Mami shrugged her shoulders and turned to take her seat in the couch. Khushi understood her situation but to lighten the mood started teasing Akash who was standing behind in Di wearing a red colour kurta.

Khushi : One second.. For your information.. Im from the dulhan's side. Why is dulha standing behind his sister? Is he scared of my jiji?

Anjali : arre... Akash.. How can you be so shy?? be a Raizada man! Be brave and come infront of everyone and show them that you are not so shy. Let Dulhan's sister also know about you.

Akash : but di... voh.. I mean..

Lavanya : Oh God Di .. Dont have hopes on him. I am afraid now how is he going to stand infront of Payal bhabhi for the ring exchange?

Akash : Why ? I can stand infront of Payal ? Whats the problem?

Anjali, Lavanya and khushi had a hearty laugh at his confused expression thats when it hit Akash that they were teasing him.

Akash : La.. Shut up..

Families surrounded the bride and groom for the ring exchange. Beauty and elegant Payal looked at the eyes of her lover who was happy beyond words and mesmerized on her beauty. He forgot to put the ring and his hand with the ring was hanging when he lifted his face to look at Payal that too so close. Khushi didnt leave a chance to tease him.

Khushi : Jijaji, if you dont mind can you close the mouth and slide the ring into my jiji's finger. Poor her shes waiting for a long time..

All of them had a terrible laugh at the comment and Anjali & Lavanya gave a hifi to Khushi who was standing beside Payal as her companion. In the midst of all these laughs Khushi looked at the counterpart. She was the sister of dulhan and the brother of dulha is missing..When she was beside Payal, Arnav had to the one standing beside Akash. She felt that place was left vacant. Today Anjali and Shyam was the one who were standing physically but all of them like her missed his presence which was evident in their faces even though they didnt show off.

After the ring exchange, mamaji settled down with Sashi and Kishan while all the guests were taken to have food. Khushi ran around the house while she was caught by Lavanya and Madhu..

Lavanya : Wait wait.. where are you running like this ? You have to take rest now.. From the time I entered the house I have been seeing you running around doing some work.. Just relax bhabhi. Look how tired your face looks..

Khushi : Oh Lav..Dont ask me.. I have hell lot of work to finish after this. I have to study too.

Lavanya : No.. I feel something is lacking in your face. Your eyes seem to lack that spirit which appears on your face.. Are you worried about somthing?

Khushi felt a tug in her heart. Yes.. however she showed her happiness outside her eyes were showing the real feeling of sadness the desperation. She tried to fake her smile and thought of asking about Arnav to Lavanya..

Khushi : No Lavanya nothing. Its just I didnt sleep for two days as I was busy in studying.

Lavanya : Oh. I thought you were missing my bhai.

Khushi got shocked on she detected this so fast. She had not told anyone about their fight or anyone about not getting a call from Arnav. She wondered how Lav got it right. She tried to play safe as she didnt want to know Lav that she was the reason for their fight and he had not called her after that.

Khushi : Missing? No.. He had to call and greet his brother for his engagement. He only missed it in his work.

Madhu : Mami.. how can mamu call Akash mama? Mamu has travelled to New york for three days to buy me loads of chocolates. Right Massi?

Khushi's eyes swelled up hearing that he had travelled and she had to know from the juniormost member of the family while she didnt have any information on him.

Khushi : What ? Where did he go?

Lavanya : Yea he has gone to New York for an important work bhabhi.. for 3 days..He cant call from his work place and he already informed us not to call him or not to contact him as he had forgotten his mobile in his office table..

A tear unknowingly fell on Khushi's cheek which she wiped off instantly.

Lavanya : Khushi bhabhi.. are you crying ??

Khushi ( hiding her tears) : No.. Im not Lavanya..

Lavanya : Didnt bhai tell you that he is going to New York for three days?

Khushi : umm. He might have forgotten to tell me.. thats ok.. Leave it..

Lavanya : How can he forget it ? He had to inform you na ?

Khushi : Thats ok Lavanya. I will check with him later..

Lavanya : Hope everything is fine with both of you Haina bhabhi..

Khushi (smiling) : Lavanya, everything is perfect within us.. Dont worry about us. Our love is strong than ourselves.

Lavanya : Thats what I want. That enthusiasm and happiness should appear in your face all the time..

Raizadas went back home after the ceremony. Sashi and family came back and was having dinner at night while they called up Khushi for the nth time to have the dinner. Khushi was not able to concentrate as she was worried why Arnav didnt inform her that he was leaving for New York. Did he feel it was not necessary to inform her or was he really angry with her. Her tears had dried up thinking about the reasons. Sashi came into witness Khushi engrossed in deep thoughts with her book opened before her. He came and caressed her hair which brought back her to the senses.

Sashi : What happened bitiya? What is bothering you?

Khushi : Nothing papa.. I was just studying.

Sashi : No I feel something is troubling you..

Khushi: No papa I m fine .. I was just thinking about Payal's roka today.. How happy she was na?

Sashi : Yea.. She is lucky to get them like you bitiya. They are a very good family. I am very happy for you and Payal.

Khushi : Nani consider me and Payal as their own daughters not as their bahus. We are very lucky papa.

Sashi : Akash is the best jodi for Payal. That boy is so innocent and silent. He speaks less but he is too obedient towards his elders.

Khushi : He is very nice papa. He loves his family and respects his bhai so much. I am very surprised to see their love for siblings.

Sashi : Looking at each and every member of their family, I am eagerly waiting for my damaad to enter our house.

Khushi diverted his talks as she dint want to talk further about him and start crying again which would affect her father.

Khushi : Ok.. come papa. We will have food.

Sashi :haan bitiya.. talking of damaad, I forgot to tell you Arnav bitwa had called two days back.

Khushi was walking from the room stopped in her tracks to listen to what Sashi was telling her that too about Arnav's call.

Sashi : He had called you in the morning to inform that he was travelling somewhere for 3 days and he could not contact you. You were busy in studying and he didnt want you to get disturbed so I attended your call in the mobile. He wanted to pass on this info as you would get worried too. He forgot his mobile in the office . I totally forgot to tell you this after that. Sorry bitiya..

Sashi walked towards the hall.Khushi smiled between tears to hear that her Arnavji had actually called her after that fight and he did wanted to inform about his trip. It was a miscommunication that happened and she had mistook him totally. She felt a fool of herself for shaking the confidence in him for even one second. She went in to search her mobile and checked the last call for doubling her happiness. He had called her in the morning but he had talked to her father which she didnt knew and mistook him. She danced with happiness not knowing the reason why she was happy.. She was waiting for the day to finish as he would be calling her as soon as he reaches New Jerey.. that too the next morning.

Arnav was waiting at the airport while Abhay came to pick him up.. Abhay was happy to see his friend back but he was anxiously waiting to leave from there.

Abhay : Hey.. whats the matter Arnie ?

Arnav : Did you buy tickets?

Abhay : Yes.. everything ready .. was waiting for your arrival here.

Arnav : Good.. I have to tell you something important.

Abhay : Whats that ?

Arnav had explained what all happened with Lavanya and Khushi on the drug matter. Abhay was aware of Swetha's father being involved in this and it would be good to talk her father which would be the best option which both the friends thought.

Arnav : You talk clearly to her father about that gang and fetch all the details. You handle in such a way that nobody's name should come out even Khushi's.

Abhay :Dont worry Arnie.. I Will take care. Dont bother.

Arnav: Did you really like Swetha ?

Abhay : Yes Arnie. I liked her pic but wanted to meet her in person as you said it would give me more confidence to move into some relationship. Mom is planning to get me engaged if I say ok after seeing her. I will attend Akash's wedding too and come back.

Arnav: Thats good. I miss the two important events. My brother;s wedding and my friends engagement.But promise me you wont involve in your past activities after engagement.

Abhay : Dont you trust me buddy ?

Arnav: I do I do Abhi..

Abhay : Ok... The flight is at night 8. I have to pack..I was waiting for you to come and pack.. DO that fast.

Arnav : Lazy bump.. Cant do anything on your own.

Abhay : Its all your luggage buddy not mine. I m just a courier boy.. samjhe ??

Arnav: You are unbelievable Abhi.

Khushi was feeling as if her heart has come back to its position when she heard his voice after a gap.. She started crying badly thats when Arnav felt sad hearing it.

Arnav: Khushi, Are you crying ? Hey..

Khushi : I love you Arnavji..
