I don't know why I am feeling so restless. Why do I have a feeling that something is going to happen? Ever since yesterday night's party, I can't seem to forget his face. Why can't I forget him? Why do I still something inside my heart whenever I come face to face with him? The same feelings that I used to feel in college where one way or another I used to embarrass myself till no end. I am trying to be strong, I am trying to not let him affect me so much but all of my tries goes futile.
He hasn't changed one bit, still looks the same in fact even more handsome in person than he did on tv. What is it about him that I can't let go? I could feel his eyes on me throughout the party, it was so hard for me to pretend and smile in front of Meera and Raj. I knew he was there at the party somewhere in the dar where I couldn't see him. He is not the type to leave just like that. I know. But the main question arises is why does he look at me the way he does. Does he know who I am? Or is it some kind of his plan to humiliate me more?
Yeah, that must be it. After all, I haven't really changed much since last four years. I only lost weight but that doesn't mean my face has changed. He must know how I am. Him bumping into me twice maybe it means that he is planning something maybe with that girl Sameera. Some people never changes and one of them are Maan Singh Khruana and Sameera Gupta.
I shouldn't even think of Maan and my feelings that I still have for him. No. It is like I am betraying Raj. I never told him about my past nor showed him any of my childhood or teenage photos. What is there to know? I was a looser all throughout my childhood till college and I still would've been one if it wasn't for the support I got from my family and friends. No. I can't be the same Geet anymore. I can't. If I break this time than I don't think I can glue myself together again.
She laid in the bed just thinking about everything when shrill sound of her cell phone ringing broke her throughts away from Maan. She looks at the phone and sighs Meera. It was her day off today and wanted to enjoy some time alone after last night's event. It was 11 am and she knew something must've happened at work or else Meera would never call her on her day off knowing how stress she is.
"hmm hi Meers. What's up?"
"Geet you remember the new clients-The Khruana's. Well, someone from home just called and they want to set up the meeting today itself."
"So what is the problem."
"Geet our appointment was booked for tomorrow and we were going to spend all day today working on the presentation now they will be here within two hours. Pari is panicking and you know I don't know much about designs and all. I am an accountant for god's sakes."
"Okay I will be there. Tell Pari to start on possible designs and color combinations and tell Pinky to get new vendors for party supplies. I don't want to repeat the same mistake again."
"Hmm okay bye"
"Bye"
Great I was just thinking on how not to go in front of them now looks like i have no option but to go to work today. I quickly got ready to head towards work. When I reached there I noticed a black care parked at the parking lot. It was not a cheap looking car; it was BMW and those are only affordable by people with money. I looked at my watch only half hour has passed since the call from Meera. Are they here early? I quickly rushed inside to handle the situation. I saw Pinky running around in fear holding coffee as she heads toward the conference room only to be used for our client's meetings.
I went straight to by office to get ready to deal with the last people on earth she wanted to deal with. Pari came in the minute I ringed her huffing and puffing.
"What is going on in this office? Why is Pinky going crazy? Where is Meera?"
"Geet the client came earlier than we had planned. Meera is in the conference room trying to show the client whatever we have prepared so far but he is giving us hard time. Pinky is going crazy trying to please him by giving him coffee but he would find one fault after another with it. We told him if he comes during our scheduled appointment than we would have everything ready but he is not willing to listen. He says he is in a rush and needs to finalize everything now."
"Hmm inform the client if he gives us half hour than we will have something prepared for him. Until then why don't you go over the color schemes with him and find out what kind of theme he would like and/or any special instructions we have to look out for. Also, tell Manisha and Meera to prepare our budget plans as well."
"Okay, I will"
"And tell Pinky to come in the office with me. She has done her duty of offering the client coffee if it is not up to his par then there is nothing we can do. Am sure if he needs anything he will inform us"
"Alright, I will."
Damn it what does he think of himself. He can't run everything and everyone he pleases. This is my office and things will happen according to how I like them to be. I quickly sketched some designs for possible themes for the party. Pinky came in within five minutes relieved of seeing me and getting away from him.

"Excuse me sir until we prepare some desgins and budget for you. I would like to go over possible color ideas you might have in mind or you would like us to use for the party."
"hmm wait are you not the same girl that stopped me at the party last night?"
"Yes, that would be correct. My name is Pari Khanna Mr. Khruana and I would like to apologize to you if I had misbehaved last night with you. I hope you understand we were given strict order by our boss not to let any client in until it was ready."
"Ohh yes, I understand. Anyway, where is your boss so I can speak with her directly regarding my party plans"
"She is currently working on the designs until than can we please talk about your budget and or ideas you would like to us incorporate. What kind of food you would like to have, theme of the party, etc..."
"I don't care about the budget spend as much as you guys want. Money is not a issue. The party I would like to have it very formal and please I don't want anything like the party last night. It is a very small gathering for my office staff and some of my high end clients."
"Hmm alright that won't be a problem. What about colors for the party? You have any in mind or would like us to decide?"
"I don't have time to think about colors you guys decide after all that is what I am going to pay you guys for." (he looks at his watch and then at the door) "What did you say your boss name was? It has been quiet a while now."
"Sir, only 10 minutes has passed. I am sure she will finish all the designs within that time."
"I have an important meeting to attend."
"Okay sir. I will be right back and check to see if she is done with the desings."
"Please hurry"
Pari nodes and leaves the conference room. What a khudos. He is the one came here early and he is the one bossing us around. Ohh I can't wait till Geet meets him and shows him his place. Only she has the right to boss us around and no one else.
"Geet are the designs done? He has no patience. I tried stalling him but it seems like he won't calm down"
"Hmm than you tell the client that if he wants he can reschedule the appointment for some other time since he is in a hurry. We don't want to keep him here any longer"
"Are you sure? What if he decides to cancel our agreement?"
"Then that is the risk we have to take. He is just not our only client that we have to worry about. If he could wait 20 more minutes than fine if not than tell Pinky to reschedule the meeting accordingly"
"Alright, I will"

Damn it what is taking so long? After last night, I had decided I would want this company most importantly her to design for my party. When I went to speak with Dadima I was shocked to know that she also had chosen the same "bright Start" company as well. Things couldn't have looked better but I frowned when I found out she had set up an appointment two days from now. I couldn't wait. I told Dadima I would handle all of as I didn't want her to stress out which was mostly true but my main reason was I wanted to see her.
There was something about her that attracts me. She looks familiar and I know I have seen her somewhere before but where? I am sure if I had met her I would have remembered but those eyes they are so familiar. I feel like those eyes have been haunting me for so long but just can't damn remember from where and when. She was not in my past nor I had met her before but there is some strange known feeligns for her, only her eyes comes to my mind when I think of her. What is it in her that made me go to this extent that I am here in her office dealing with all of this planning crap.
I was never good at planning parties or even pick out any colors for home. I just let Dadima handle everything so now what made me come here? Just to see a glimpse of her? Why? I frowned when I saw the door being opened again but it wasn't who I wanted to see. The same girl that had dared to stop me at the party came in holding pen and paper. I looked toward the door to see if anyone else was coming in besides from her but I was wrong.
She asked me so many questions regarding the party and I tried answering as best as I could not wanting to look like an idiot showing up for now reason. I glanced at my watch hoping to see if she catches what I was hinting. I wasn't really in a rush. In fact, I had cleared out my whole day's schedule just for this as I didnt' know how long this would take. I thought if I keep telling them I am getting late they would get their main boss come in and deal with me knowing how professional she is when it comes to her work.
"Sir, since you are in a hurry would you like to reschedule your appointment?"
"What? I took some time out of my busy schedule to come here and you guys are giving us attitudes?"
"Sir, we are not. Its just that we don't want to keep you here any longer. Ma'am said you are willing to wait for 20 more minutes than she will present the designs if not than am sorry we will have to reschedule you"
"Hmm its okay. I will wait. I waited for this long than I can wait little longer. I will cancel my appointments."
"Alright. Is there anything I can get for you until you wait?"
"No nothing. Thanks. Please hurry"

"I can't relax Geet just because he is our client doesn't mean he can do and say whatever he pleases. He can't boss us around like we are no one. Some people never change. You know when I had seen him enter our office after these four years I felt like punching the shit out of him until he knew who he messed with. I still can't forgive him of what he and his so called posies did with you."
"Meera I have forgotten all about that. He is only our client and no one else."
"Geet you can lie to the whole world but not to me. I know that past still haunts you. I hate him for changing my best friends that I grew up with. The girl who used to laugh and crack jokes about everything is gone all because of him. You might have forgotten it but I haven't. He didn't even recognize me, me the girl who had once slapped him so you can imagine how he doesn't regret one bit of the past"
"Meera please. Can we not talk about the past? I don't care what he or his friends have done. I have moved on with my life just like he and everyone that graduated have as well. I have moved on and now my only concern is this company. Please. Lets try to be professional. No need to remind him of the past"
"Okay, only for you I will leave him alone. Warna I would've..."
"Geet he decided to wait 20 more minutes. Your threat worked."
Pari came in with a huge smile. Meera sighs and gets up as Geet hands Pari the design presentation.
"Please show him these designs and ask him to choose the one he likes best. Meera will join him shorlty after you are done with the presentation"
"Alright."
"You are not ready to face him aren't you. You still feel something for him"
"Meera Pari is waiting. I have to finish some work."
She looks at Geet one last time before leaving. I don't know what she sees in him or rather what she saw in him all those years ago. I will never understand this love of yours Geet. You guys always belonged in the opoposite world and always will continue to do so. Your worlds cannot collide. I can't let you go through same pain again Geet. I just can't. You me more to me than anyone in my life.

Where is she? Time was about to be up and still there was no news of their boss, Geet. I don't know why I am feeling so desperate. God. What is happening to me. I looked at the door when again the same girl who was here moments ago came back with a file. She turned on the projector for the presention. My anger was increasing. She is here in this company so why doesn't she come and present this herself?
"Sir. Lets begin"
The girl presented me with the designs of the hall. I have to admit they were beautifully done each and every design was so different for one another but all of them spoke class and elegance. I was speachless. So much was done in such little time no wonder everyone speaks good about this company. They really do live up to their name and reputation.
"I would like to speak with your boss"
"Sir am sorry but she is busy. If you found some mistakes in our designs than please do tell me. We will try our best to make the possible changes."
"I would only tell them to your boss. Now, please call her in or direct me towards her office."
"Sir..."
I have had enough. I quickly got up storming out of the conference room. I did not wait for her to continue or come up with some excuses. I will get to meet whom I came here to meet, Geet. I quickly looked around for her office, my eyes stopped at the plate name in front of the closed door. I did not care as everyone in the office mostly three people looked at me not daring to stop me under my anger. I marched toward the door barging in the office. Her eyes looks at me with shock and anger.
"Geet am sorry. I tried stopping him" Her assistant, Pari comes inside as soon as I was. Geet stops her half way signaling her to leave.
"What can I do for you Mr. Khruana? Did you not like the designs we chose for you?"
"I want to go over them with your personally."
"Hmm well in that case you might have to make an appointment. I have an important meeting that I have to attend to. If you want I can have Pari finish the presentation and have Meera go over the budget with you"
"That's quiet alright. When will you be free?"
"Pinky come in please" (She calls the receptionists in) "Please schedule my meeting with Mr. Khruana for sometime today. I have to leave now"
"Sure ma'am"
"She will take care of you ohh and Mr. Khruana please make sure you are free to talk and please knock before you enter my office again. Pinky inform me of the meeting time"
Geet looks at him one more time before leaving. It was so hard for her to control her emotions. She hadn't expected him to come in her office like that nor she wanted to face him again today after last night. Looks like everything was working against her will.
"See you tonight"
Maan smirks as he leaves the office waiting till 4pm to talk.
