This fic is mind f***kery at its best. You think you just peeled a layer, but not only are there more layers buried underneath it, it turns out you never peeled the first layer to begin with. But then again. that's what politics is all about?

To be honest, there were a lot of times I had to go re-read chapters. Just when I thought I was beginning to understand what was going on, the ending does a 180 on me. I am not a big politics junkie, and I know very little about Indian politics, but it is obvious that you did your research before writing this. For that, thanks! Not a lot of ff writers put in this kind of effort.

And your characters. Are these the same Iss Pyaar Ko characters? I mean Aakash. Really? Their IQ- especially Arnav and Khushi- seems to be way beyond their age. And their camaraderie is one of a kind, which I have yet to see in other fics (and yet to get a name beyond really close friends).

I am interested to see how these two plan to get the military involved. I'm sure (if this is their real plan and not a ruse) they already got the ball rolling. And what is the deal with this other SMJ?

Defnitely can't wait to read more! Kudos on writing such a birilliant piece of work. You should def think about publishing something like this.

I have simply borrowed the names from the show :-) They aren't the same people from show but just a name and face to go with. Arnav and Khushi are really just friends and if they are more - you will have to wait and find out.

Now it will be piecing together lot of things before seeing what happens during hung parliament. By that time I am hoping to have closed all the other threads.

Chapter 30:

Sampat's hands shook slightly as he placed coffee cup on table. Gupta noted it from corner of his eyes but didn't comment. The photo on the table had everyone's wits on their knees.

"We have gone through worse without as much as a scratch Sampat," Rathore said choosing to comment over Samapt's very obvious nervousness. "What is it?" He asked anyway.

"Only eight of us know about what happened with Jha and now there seems to be a photo out of it. This is bigger than everything that has happened to us Rathore." Sampat said carefully. "I had made sure we were alone; except for the jailer, no one else knew that we were there," he added.

"Vimal Raizada has too much to lose and probably more than all of us if this come out so I don't think that's him," Rathore said. "In fact you can knock off Sukanya Raizada too. Like Vimal, she has too much to lose to pull a stunt like this." Rathore noted.

"And that leaves the final two." Saini said dully. "It can be either of them but to pull off something like this, my bet it's both of them," he said rubbing his forehead.

"Saini, one is a religious leader and the other is a communist. They never saw eye to eye back then do you think they will now?" Sampat asked raising an eyebrow at the incredulous suggestion.

"Imagine what would happen if religion and communism did decide to come together and fight for a cause." Gupta said thoughtfully. "I am with Saini on this one. The communist – Prasenjit Sarkar has money and the religion fanatic Krishna Kumar has the people. You must remember they were planning on starting some revolution based on Shyam's ramblings," Gupta said and took a sip of tea.

"I thought you stopped them from doing that Gupta," Sampat said immediately. Gupta looked up and saw that Sampat was pale.

"I did stop them from taking a drastic step of escalating the rebellion to the next level Sampat so that the peace which came after two years of emergency would sustain for a longer duration and that the politics had become too volatile. First non-congress government was elected in center and no one was making any move under the impression that it may disintegrate the notion of peace we were operating under." Gupta replied.

"But you know how Krishna Kumar was after the riots of '84 Gupta. I wouldn't be surprised if he had picked up the rebellion where he had left off." Sampat said.

"I have seen his party's agenda Sampat and it is far from what Shyam was writing about during his last days. He-"

"There have been meetings happening around the capital," Rathore stopped Gupta and said what was bothering him for a while.

"What kind of meetings?" Saini asked.

"The kind which happens before elections but this one is going on in a large scale," Rathore said. The lawyers looked at each other. "There have been huge transactions involving thousands of crores, real estate deals etc. However there is no wind of the group of people running this," Rathore said.

"Were your party people approached?" Gupta asked.

"Gupta, I think every candidate who has a slightly higher margin of winning in this election was approached with a specific request…or demand in my case." Rathore said standing up. "We are politicians and we all of us has one or two skeletons in our closet."

"Well, the closets are now open to public Rathore," Gupta said sardonically.

"We don't know for sure if I was threatened by our old friends or my new enemies Gupta. If it's our old friends, then we have much more than skeletons to be worried about," Rathore said looking at Gupta pointedly.

"Right now we don't know who this Shyam Manohar Jha was. First order of business is to find out who that is and I am already on it. And secondly we have to visit our old friends and see what they have been really up to. If they have one photo, there is no guarantee that there aren't more. And if even one of them falls into Arnav's hands…"

"I am not scared of Arnav," Rathore said.

"You should be," Sampat said looking straight at Rathore. "He can destroy all of us if he wishes to Rathore and he won't hold back just because his parents are involved. He and Khushi cannot be trusted on this one Rathore." Sampat said. As if realizing what he had just said, he turned to Gupta. "No offense," he said. Gupta simply nodded.

Rathore didn't respond.

"Rathore-" Gupta stopped as Imran burst through the door.

"They are here!" Imran exclaimed. Looking at questioning expressions on their faces Imran added. "Arnav and Khushi are here."

Please note: The chapters are going to be shorter but the updates will be almost daily. This will help me keep a pace and give me enough time to read and write. Let me know what you think of this arrangement.

Sukanya, is that Arnav's mother? What's happening? Did Shyam commit suicide or was that a murder? And these people don't know who he was? With every chapter you write, I have more questions than before. Mind blowing plot.
