Though after her outburst Geet seemed normal but I knew it will take time for her to come up to terms with this new beginning, I had done enough damage.

Now was the time to make amends and I knew what would bring a smile on her face and put all her insecurities and fears at rest

I made a call to Adi, who was recieving shock after shock today first when I informed him to cancel all my meetings till further notice, I assume he must have nearly collapsed on the floor hearing it, that too from me, as since many months in my quest to forget Geet I had drowned myself in work.

I worked day n night but no success I could never get Geet out of my thoughts. Even yesterday it was him who forced me to come back to the cottage for some rest, I gave in but not before fixing an early morning visit to our site.

It felt ages since I have had a peaceful sleep as the moment I closed my eyes those eyes just wouldn't leave me but now I know my restless heart could feel her pain and was signalling me but I had failed to understand

And yesterday night it was as if all my restlessness just vanished in thin air, though I didn't sleep as the mystery around Geet's marriage had been a cause of my worry,

but still I could feel the calm around me having her so close to me.

On recieving the confirmation from Aadi I went to check on Geet who was standing by the window looking out in wilderness, the rain had stopped and the weather was pleasant just as,

Our storm had passed and the road to our future had cleared!!!!!

This cottage had marked the beginning of our relation. I had struggled too hard to build this cottage it was very close and special to me. As it is in midst of forest land it was not easy for me to get permission but I had succeeded.

(Ok guys me taking creative liberty here as no construction is allowed in forest area, and Maan was doing a sort of penance drifting away from life for his mistake. Hope u all don't mind)

This cottage was home to me. This was indeed my heaven!!!!

"Geet get ready we need to go out", to which she just nodded. It was not long before we were in the car making our way to one of the most apt destination to truly start afresh.The drive was silent with Geet as always no questions, no doubts just Us.

I was going to take a biggest step of our lives and it was a surprise for Geet. I hope today I live up to her expectations as we reached the temple. She looked out and back to me. I just blinked to assure her that we were indeed going to the temple. She knew I didn't believe in God but now I do.

God had not only kept my Geet safe but also gave her back to me inspite of my numerous mistakes. I held her hand as we walked up the stairs.

Together we walked in the temple hand in hand to thank God for fulfilling our dream. I saw her putting her dupatta on her head and closing her eyes and praying earnestly all I could ask God was to keep her happy always and bless us for our happy future...

Just as the priest came out after perform a small puja returning Geet the puja thaal, which we earlier had handed to him, he informed us about tomorrows confirmation and all preparations are in progress. I could see the change in Geet's expressions as she turned to look at me and back to God from tears of happiness, to shock and then to fear.

Now this was not expected by me. I had thought it will be a pleasant surprise to her but turned out to be shock. She held the puja thaal close to her heart and looking at me one last time nodding a no and she ran down the steps. Aadi who by now had come to the temple just gaped at me wide eyed. I just told him to carry on with all the preparations as decided and followed Geet. She was seated in the car. I tried to ask her only to hear, "Mujhe waapis ghar jaana hein".

I drived back to the cottage. Not once did she look at me, tears had accumulated in her eyes waiting to fall down any moment. As we reached she just dashed in the house, her silence was scaring me. I followed her up to the room only to see her packing her bag. Having no patience left I just grabbed her arm tight to make her look at me and her eyes were filled with fear and pain.

"Geet, tum kahin nahi jaa rahi ho samjhi tum". I said trying not to loose my temper, she just stared a me helplessly and uttered in a mere whisper, "Please mujhe jaane dijiye, jo aap chahte hein woh naamumkin hein".

"Naamumkin ko mumkin bana na aata hein Maan Singh Khurana ko Geet". This time I had vowed to myself to not let anybody or anything come between us." Hum kal shaadi kar rahen hein Geet aur usse koi nahi rok sakta". This time I said with finality.

"Aap samajhte kyon nahi hein yeh shaadi nahi ho sakti, mein aap ki jaan ko khatre mein nahi daal sakti. Please mujhe jaane dijiye aap".

"Geet kuch nahi ho ga mujhe", I cupped her face gently to assure her and put all her fears at bay but she struggled to get away but I held her firmly assuring her yet again I spoke,

" Please Geet zindagi hume phir se mauka de rahi hein saath jeene ka aur tum phir se."

"Haan phir se, phir se mein nahi chahti ke itihaas apne aap ko daurahen, samjhe aap". She unknowingly blurted out.

"Geet", I gasped to the new piece of information that had slipped out of her mouth she closed her eyes in defeat she had spilled the beans.
