Hey guys!! Here's the next update. Like I said, its an emotional one.

And yes… some of the dialogues by Arnav are from Grey's Anatomy….

I'd like to say it once again that I am NOT gonna PM if u don't care to COMMENT….

Khushi walked out of the room in a blue denim and a red tank top. A smile curved up Arnav's face. She was simple, yet beautiful. He guided her to the car and drove his way to St. Clairs. The drive was a beautiful one. Arnav's player- both his music and his talks, were on. Khushi couldn't help but let out a laugh at this crazy man sitting beside him.

"We are here!!!" Arnav said.

Khushi smiled as they walked inside the hospital. It was a real big one. She had read about the same in some article. Arnav was wished by Nancy as usual as the two walked to the elevator to reach his cabin.

Arnav along with Khushi walked past the floor and reached his cabin to see Myra waiting for him inside. Seeing that the Doc had arrived she got up and greeted him but stopped midways as she saw the figure of a stranger beside him.

"Doc I think….Uh?"

Arnav noticed Myra's sudden hesitation and saw from Myra to Khushi and back to Myra.

"Oh Myra… This is Khushi. My friend…"

"Hi Myra… Its Khushi…" Khushi said as she held out her hand. Myra returned the same with a smile.

"Doc… Kiran is not stable. she once again tried to…." Myra let the words flow into thin air as Arnav adjusted his glasses and examined Kiran's file.

"Lets go to her room Myra… I need to talk to her. I have a session with her, don't I?"

Arnav noticed Myra nodding a Yes in reply.

The three of them made their way to Kiran's room. Arnav turned to Khushi as they reached the room.

"Khushi… I want you to stay here. I cant take you in…"

Khushi nodded him an understanding nod and told him that she would wait right outside.

Arnav walked into the room and saw Kiran sitting on her bed with her eyes pointing nowhere. Her eyes were dead, pale. As if she wasn't alive. She had been brought here in an unconscious state. It was a case of trauma, Depression. Arnav walked up to her and sat beside her.

"How are you feeling Ms. Malhotra?"

Kiran looked up at him. She was as expressionless as she was. She looked at him and then turned away.

"Its difficult to move on Doc…. It hurts a lot… I was so wrong… this is such a big mistake I've made!!" She said as a tear escaped her eyes. She continued,

"I loved him so much Doc… How could he do this? What was my fault? Why is it a scar for me alone? And the best thing about it is…. He is happy…."

Arnav silently listened to what she said. These were the times where he had felt helpless. He could do nothing. As a part of his job he could tell her some stupid stuff, but that isn't enough, is it?

Khushi silently watched the happenings that were going on. When she had heard Myra tell Arnav about Kiran, she felt as if it was her. she felt herself in place of Kiran. The only difference being, she was not yet in to the trauma thing. She focused on session once again.

Arnav looked at Kiran, tears still covering her cheeks. He heaved out a sigh.

"Kiran….Listen to me carefully…. Pain, you just have to ride it out, hope it goes away on its own, hope the wound that caused it heals. There are no solutions, no easy answers. You just breathe deep and wait for it to subside. Most of the time pain can be managed, but sometimes the pain gets you when you least expect it, hits way below the belt and doesn't let up. Pain, you just have to fight through, because the truth is you can't outrun it, and life always makes more…. And you'll have to survive it…."

Kiran looked at Arnav with her eyes searching for answers.

"Pain, is not always that easy Doc…. What you said is true… I cant outrun it. But its difficult when I fail to manage it…."

Khushi felt as if Arnav was talking to her.

You'll have to survive it.

I cant outrun it….

Both of them were right. Arnav's talks made sense but what Kiran said was what the truth was. pain is a difficult to outrun it.

"Doc…. What do you want me to do?" Kiran asked helplessly.

"I want you to give it another chance…. I want you to break down the wall you have built around yourself…. And if you are ready to do that… then here's what I know. The view from the other side is fantastic…."

Arnav looked at Kiran who was still staring at him with the same expression. Helplessness.

"What makes you think I can survive? What makes you think that I can rectify this mistake of mine? What makes you be so sure that the view from the other side could be fantastic?"

Khushi paid even more attention to the session as she felt Kiran speaking for her. For a broken, Khushi gupta…

Arnav stood up beside Kiran and placed a hand on her shoulder,

"I believe that even though you made this mistake, you will be okay. I believe we survive. I believe that believing we survive is what makes us survive."

Kiran hugged Arnav around his waist as Arnav caressed her hair as a smile covered his face.

"I don't know if I can do this Doc… but I'll give it a try… I'll try break the walls…"

"I know you will Kiran… Now its time for me to go… I'll see you in the next session. Only if you require one…"

Arnav said as he wiped her tears and winked at Kiran. Kiran struggled a smile through herself and nodded her head.

Khushi silently watched them as she felt her face wet. She had cried. She had broken down, unknown to herself. A smile was curved on her face. A smile of satisfaction. A smile of having understood things well. She saw Arnav opening the door and quickly wiped her tears which didn't go unnoticed by Arnav.

"You alright Khushi?"

"Uh, huh? Yeah… yeah.. I guess I am fine.." and looked away.

Arnav could sense the uneasiness in her voice. She was upset. But about what, he didn't know. And he wouldn't force her on it. He held her by the shoulders and turned her to face himself.

"Khushi… I just want to tell you that you can tell me, if not now, then when u feel like opening up. You have me by your side. ALWAYS."

Khushi looked at the beautiful brown orbs that stared at hers. The last words he had said had made her feel at home, safe. His touch, his first touch had made her feel protective. She hadn't backed out of his proximity.

"I'll keep that in mind Doc…." Khushi said as she wiped her tears and smiled at him.

"You know what Khush? The most beautiful smile is the one that struggles through tears… Excuse me.."

She heard Arnav say as he walked past her into his cabin. She felt a sudden surge of loneliness as she saw him retreat, as she saw him walk way. She could now say that he was her friend. She knew that he was one of the best things that had happened to her. she let out a laugh and walked towards his cabin.

How was it? I tried to keep it as realistic as possiblr…
