The Awakening - Story based on the Delhi Gang Rape

Hey all!

After a lot of nail biting and tossing-turning, I have decided to start a non fan-fiction story. My story is loosely based on the events sorrounding the Delhi Gang Rape.

Here is the blurb-

The city that never sleeps woke up when humanity closed its eyes...

A movie night turned nightmare for Aparna Shah, rocked the city that never sleeps. Candles were lit, protests were made. Speeches were given, condolences taken. The opposition blamed the rulers. The rulers blamed the police. The nation blamed the law. The law blamed the nation. Blogs were written, statuses were made. Tears were shed and hope was lost. Meanwhile, inside Safdarjung Hospital, rape victim Aparna Shah breathes her last. For somebody who had been talking not more than two hours ago, the sudden death is too sudden. It is not a natural death, the doctor's agree.

So who killed her? Was it the ministers who believed her life would come at the cost of their resignation? Was it the intern whose sister they had kept hostage? Or was it Jaidev Bhattacharya, the modern day Oedipus, who thinks Aparna Shah looks like his mother?
