Murari was a crucial film

— Suresh Kavirayani

Mahesh Babu is busy with multiple projects, and that includes
Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and an untitled movie directed by Sukumar.
Talking about how he is in a happy place in his career right now, Mahesh, says, "Over the years, I've become more mature about the subjects I pick. I have a better understanding of what works at the box office. Once the story is finalized, I surrender to the director and follow him. After that, my performances speak for themselves."
When asked about his favourite role, he said, "It has to be Murari. I watched that movie with my dad in a city theatre and once the film ended, he got emotional and tightly clasped my shoulders in reaction to my performance. That is one of my most cherished moments," he says adding "It was a crucial film in my career."
Talking about his future projects Mahesh says, "I'm excited about my first multi-starrer,
Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. Both Venkatesh and I have shed our star images in this movie. Work has already begun on my Sukumar project
too. Once it's
over, I
will be directed by
Sreenu Vaitla
again. Films with
directors Paidipalli Vamsi and Puri Jagannadh are also lined up."
When asked about his next movie with Krish, Shivam, touted to be Mahesh's Tamil debut, he says, "We haven't decided when to start. We haven't taken a call on whether it's going to be a bilingual yet."
