VERY VERY IMPORTANT Note:heyy guys, wow so many comments.. love reading them. just a note to say that the wedding stuff has begun! i apologise ahead if some of the ritual descriptions are inacurate.. i am not indian or hindu, so i dont know the meaning or how some of the rituals are conducted, so i apologise if i am wrong, i am not doing it to be disrespectful to anyones race or religion, its because i dont know... keep the comments coming in and i'll see you again on page 85.

He's Amazing ~ Part 36

"Khushi, we've arrived!"

"I know you have."

"Where are you then?"

"In my room."

"Come downstairs!"

"Aunty hasn't told me to come down yet!"

"I'm dying to see you babe."

"Same here!"

Just then Lavanya rushed in and told Khushi that Garima was calling her to come downstairs.

Khushi was wearing a heavily done up anarkali dress in navy blue. She had her hair down and looked like a princess. Lavanya took her hand and walked her sister downstairs. Everyone smiled seeing the to-be bride. She looked at Arnav and smiled slightly and then looked down again. Buaji gestured for Khushi to sit down next to Arnav, that's when nani looked up.

"Why are you getting Khushi to sit next to my grandson? Only the to-be bride is to sit with him today!"

Everyone looked around, slightly confused.

"Devyani ji, Khushi is the bride!"

"No, no, no! I chose Lavanya for Arnav!"

"But we were talking for Khushi!"

"But I assumed you meant Lavanya when you told me that Khushi wasn't your real daughter!"

"We only mentioned that because we felt that you had a right to know that, but we consider Khushi our eldest daughter!"

"I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, but we have selected Lavanya and she is our choice!"

Khushi looked to Arnav and felt the tears well up in her eyes. She got up and ran back up the stairs and to her room.

"Shashi ji we are sorry for the misunderstanding, however after you told us about both your daughters, we felt that Lavanya would be better for Arnav. She has more of what we think Arnav would want in a wife. Like you said that Khushi wouldn't want to move away from her in-laws after marriage, and Lavanya wouldn't mind, we felt that Lavanya would be the better choice because chote has always said that he would want to move out with his wife. Also we thought that Lavanya would be a better choice seeing as she has a much more modern approach to things whereas Khushi has a much more traditional one."

"Nani ji, I understand what you are saying however I do not want to get married now and Khushi, for the first time was really interested in this proposal!"

"I understand, but I think you would be a better option for our Arnav!"

"Nani how could you say that when you haven't asked me!"

"We know your choice chote, we assumed when you said you liked one of the Kashap sisters, we thought you meant Lavanya."

"Nani, I don't see the need to hide the truth from you, I shall tell everyone here everything."

For this point on Arnav told everyone about how he was Khushi's lecturer and how they had fallen in love with each other. And that this was all his plan but he had wanted them to pick Khushi, so that it wouldn't look as though they were having a love marriage.

After Arnav was done, everyone looked around, slightly confused and then nani spoke.

"Chote if you and Khushi had fallen in love, why didn't you just tell us? You know that it doesn't really matter to me whether you have an arranged or a love marriage. All that matters is that you are happy. And if you and Khushi feel that you will be happy with each other, then I will not get in the way. I agree for you to marry Khushi!"

"Really!?"

"Yes chote! Khushi was my original choice but then I thought about what you wanted in your wife, so then I changed my mind and chose Lavanya instead!"

Lavanya jumped up and said that she would go and get Khushi. She went up to their room to find Khushi crying her eyes out. Lavanya rushed to her side to tell her the good news.

"Oh my god Khushi, guess what!"

"You're getting married to Arnav!"

"No, Khushi'"

"I'm so sorry la! Please forgive me for sleeping with your husband!"

"Khushi what are you talking about, he isn't my husband!"

"Not yet, they all prefer you to me! They want you to marry him! And I feel horrible knowing that all your life you will live with him, thinking that he had slept with your sister!"

"Khushi! Listen to me! I'm not marrying him! You are! They had chosen you originally, but then changed their minds thinking that he would prefer me! But Arnav has told everyone about your relationship and that he wishes to marry you!"

"WHAT! Did he tell them that we've already had sex?!"

"Are you crazy Khushi? Of course he hasn't told them that! They don't need to know! Any way enough of this! Their all waiting for the beautiful blushing bride!"

With that Lavanya and Khushi made their way downstairs. Khushi was seated next to Arnav who smiled again. Nani apologised to everyone about the misunderstanding and then the rituals for the shagun began.
