Arjun entered her room, he saw her suitcase opened and clothes lying all over the bed. He shook his head, some things never change. The night lamp was on dimly lighting the whole room, he was looking around when he heard the bathroom open, he quickly hid behind the cupboard.
Arohi who came out after freshening, felt her instinct say something was not the same in the room as before, she began taking her steps cautiously, was there any intruder in here? Suddenly she felt a pair arms touching her, without thinking for a second she punched the person with the back of her elbows. She quickly turned around to attack him and was shocked to see Arjun bent down in pain. She did not expect him there. Arjun did not expect that blow either.
She quickly rushed to his aid, 'I'm.. I'm sorry.. Ar.. Sirr… I..I did not expect it to be you, Sir', 'You expected a convict to enter you bedroom Arohi?' he croaked out as she made him sit on her bed, 'I'm sorry but the fault was yours Arjun! Don't you know people enter a girl's room only after knocking?', 'yea right, before entering a girl's room. Not yours.', 'Look at you, you're in pain because of my hit and still dare to tease me?', he smirked, he was liking the silly banter and the way she was pressing her fingers on his abdomen to check if there was any damage.
'Actually, how did you manage to become a Major? Like seriously. You couldn't even handle my hit', he quickly stood up, caught her hand and twisted it behind, holding her captive. He bent down, his lips gazing over her ears as he talked, 'Think twice before questioning my capabilities cadet'. She shivered, he could feel it. But using that moment of his weakness, she broke free, pinning him to the wall with his hand raised till his shoulder held to the wall by her hands, oh he loved this game. Her eyes shining with a playful glint, he was enjoying it. 'You're weak major, Admit it.' She smirked. He bent his fingers, taking her hands into his control, turned her and pulled her to him, back to chest, taking her captive. 'Arjun is weak, not Major Punj'. She was trying to break free from his hold while he stood still admiring her antics, how did he get so lucky? The amazing girl in his arms was in love with him. The life that seemed pretty empty until that morning suddenly felt beautiful. He watched as she stilled and tried to turn around, he let her to, by releasing her hands but still holding her back. She turned around with a timid pout, making him smile that in turn made her heart go wild. 'Aise kyun dek rahe ho?' as an answer to her innocent question he pulled her closer and hugged her tight, until he felt her going stiff with confusion, 'Arohi..' he said caressing the sides of her face, awakening a few untold sensations in her, but she couldn't see that guilt in his eyes, 'I'm s..' she silenced him keeping her index finger over his lips, 'Don't Arjun. Please don't Apologize. It was one my most preserved moments; don't spoil it by feeling sorry for it. That day neither you nor I were forced. Okay, you were forced to some extent', both of them laughed, 'but seriously speaking, your response that day fuelled the fire inside me to chase you. I knew what you wanted. Also the way to reach you.', before she could complete, he pressed his lips to hers, silently pouring his heart out, his one hand moving over her back smoothly while the other went into her thick hairs. She held on to his vest sleeves as if holding a convict. Going out of breath he moved away from her and squeezed her into him. 'You know Arohi, I have never felt this way, this overwhelming feeling… I want to hold you like this, close to me, forever… this morning when I saw you... more than shock, I felt the ecstasy, a pride surge through my body making my chest to swell, Sorry for making you wait all these years. I… I love you Arohi... I don't know if I was in love with you when I was younger but I know that I can never love anyone like I love you… there was never a woman before you and there wouldn't be one after you. More than that I need you.. to complete me, make me feel alive..', he felt wetness on his vest, 'Officers rote nahi.' He teased, this time instead of a comment; she silenced him with her lips.
